As a support worker that has experience in counselling I find it really weird how inappropriate almost all of the conversations these therapists are having? Bringing up someone’s past like that unprovoked can be very damaging. This company needs more new therapists 👀
After going over my notes I believe there are 2 separate people being talked to by the therapists. There’s Vanessa and NT or non talking. Vanessa talks in tapes 1,3,5,7,9,10,11, and 12. She says she likes the flowers and the sunny sky. NT is in tapes 2,4,6,8,13,14,15, and 16. They like the curtains drawn and dislikes the flowers. NT appears to be a child as they don’t know words like “subjective and objective”, don’t quite fit the chair, and takes candy from Therapist 3. Something Vanessa refuses. NT’s and Vanessa’s past 3 therapists go missing at which point only NT is in therapy. Well 2 are missing 1 is dead.
I believe all the non talking Vanessa CDs also have 467 while the ones where she speaks is 714. Seems like the therapists were aware that something was going on.
This is actually a genius concept, very well thought out. Also, the therapist never mentions Vanessa’s name in any of the NT CD’s. Also, perhaps NT is Gregory since he is shown to be homeless (CD 6 talks about something happening with his parents). As well, in CD 11 Vanessa says she avoids self dialogue where the therapist commended NT for their ability to do that in a earlier CD, showing they are two different people MatPat needs to put this in his next theory 😂
@@KevinSecondWind but at the same time, all these encrypted conversations and costume purchases really do show they're probably the same person. That ending just doesn't connect with the good ending whatsoever, and it's rather strange.
The last therapist saying “you’re shaking your head as though that’s not going to happen” really makes me think Vanny/ Vanessa knew that the therapist had something coming for her now.
Yeah, I think that’s what happened to all of them. It seems like when they piss off Vanny (I think the second, quiet, client is definitely Vanny), they disappear soon after.
@@didi-dk6dr Vanny doesn’t seem to like facing what makes her the way she is, I’m guessing that’s what’s mainly bothering her with all of the “good” therapists
What the therapist is getting from these sessions is the fact that Vanessa is dealing with her trauma of her father by digging into the furry fandom and wearing fursuits.
by the way keep in mind that her entire backstory was made up and placed in the files either by her or glitchtrap. This was done so that she could have an excuse for the whole weird behavior thing, and so people would not get suspicious of the fact that she's being possessed.
Note: Real therapists are NOT like this in real life. These are awful representation for how actual therapy works. Please don't let media therapists push you away from seeking therapy if you're having problems.
Felt rather close to me. Also, depends on the therapist. I've been to a few and some were so direct that the discomfort was tangible, whereas others allowed me to figure stuff out by myself via directed questioning. It is true that it's rather difficult to make an honest comparison here, because this is made to present an audience with information rather than actual help, but the "vibe" was fairly realistic.
This is clearly not meant to be actual representation of therapists. These 'therapists' clearly work for the corporation and are asking specific questions that the company told them to ask. I agree that therapy is not shown porperly in media but not in this situation because these aren't actual therapists. They are just doing as they're told by the company.
@@afikalindegaard3350 OP isn’t trying to bash the writing of the therapists in security breach, they’re just reminding people that these are fictional. Fnaf has a wide audience that spans all ages, meaning that there is a portion of the audience that is young, and therefore impressionable. It’s a pretty big portion of the audience actually. These are good reminders, and though your point is a good one it’s not applicable here /lh
@@nolongeractive8263 I think by OP’s comment using “representation” it implied that the writers of these scenes were going for a realistic therapy session. Even though that isn’t really true, because as Afika says, these are really just interrogators.
There's a definite change in the tone of Vanessa (or Vanny's) voice that you can pick up on. Vanessa the security guard has a more deadpan tone to her voice when she talks about her job and stuff, then there's the emotional, worried tone that comes up in the CDs. Like CD 11 has the emotional, worried tone and CD 7 & 9 have the deadpan, uninterested tone. There's another more hypnotized, robotic tone that comes up in CD 12 that makes me think she's under the control of Glitchtrap during those times. And the fact that in some of the CDs, sounds like the therapist is talking to a kid, not an adult. That's kind of weird if we're expected to believe this is only Vanessa speaking to the therapist. I'll leave the big theory crafting to MatPat, my brain is just not up to par with all that right now.
@@tara6637 Well, to be fair, there are 2 Models of Vanessa in the game. One has Green eyes and acts more calmly. Another has Yellow eyes and acts more agressively. And by "act" I mean the way they walk, speak, and interact with things.
Just a thought but because Afton is so old up to this point, he may not know all the 'newer' vocab because new words are being added to the words people currently know and because he's been cut of from the world for so long he wouldn't be 'fresh' with these terms.
Did anyone else notice how one of the therapists mentions Vanessa shopping online for a costume, and when the therapist asks what she was making Vanessa just said, “It’s a secret.”
Little fun psychological fact. When people sit in the way the two are in the graphic of the video, it usually signals discomfort or uneasiness (the feet positions). As you can't fully relax, you'll be ready to jump up in an instant with one of your feet in a position to pivot away. Learned this in psychology and would explain why I have a habit of sitting like this when in uncomfortable environments.
I genuinely think there is more behind this then what meets the eye, Vanessa clearly feels uncomfortable and paranoid. Shes too scared to open up about her emotions mainly because she knows shes being watched. The fact that the therapist mentioned the deaths and she wasn't phased at all.
I think when the therapist mentioned those deaths she wasn't talking to Vanessa. She was talking to someone else, since it's been made pretty heavily implied that the NT (non talking) patient is someone seperate. And said someone seems to be a child, judging by how the therapist is talking.
She’s terrified of afton…I also think she’s terrified of the fact that she had a bad father and now another man who was a terrible father is controlling her.. only she can hear him and she can’t talk about it to anyone
@@dondog3123 Nope, the more time goes on (or the more tapes we listen to) her tone gets colder, dead. More indifferent and uninterested. As if she's reading off a script, rather than having a conversation with another person. I'm guessing it's Glitchtrap's hold on her getting stronger with how distant and rehersed her words sound, saying things that he influenced her to. She's being questioned about her actions, after all. Even if that isn't the case, it's not a good sign, that's for sure.
If you look at the names of the files/the code shown with the discs you can separate the sessions by patient. The first two digits after the dash indicate the patient 71(Vanessa) or 46 (someone else). Vanessa's tapes are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12. The other patients tapes are 2, 4, 6, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16.
@@beanieboi_8708 Yep. Vanessa's name isn't mentioned in the 46 tapes. They also seem to have different personality traits. The Vanessa likes flowers, looks comfortable in the chair/and an adult, enjoys the outdoors and looking out the sun-filled window, doesn't like dark places, isn't tech savvy, doesn't like candy, is more emotional, and surprised when the therapist is replaced. Her parents were divorced and her testimony against her mother caused her to maybe harm herself. She is also the one making the vanny mask and suit, and believes HE is watching her. 46 is a child prodigy hacker, who likes dark places and being indoors. They eat the candy, show very little emotion, and lie about their bad childhood. 46 likes talking to themselves and AI to work through their problems, but not people, and likes wearing masks so they can do whatever they like. Maybe a hint that this is Gregory, since he talks to Freddy the whole time and wears the Freddy suit to protect himself and do whatever he wants inside the megaplex. He doesn't talk to any of the humans, as Vanessa mentions she only knows his name from the communications with Freddy, not from anything he told her.

Ok wild speculation. I remember in SB how it mentioned how vanessa was supported by the higher ups. The fact that the "coorperation" is aware of her search history and what she has been a part of (Remember help wanted and SB were both projects by fazbear entertainment) makes me feel that they were condoning her behavior, I do not know how or why. In addition despite what she has been communicating with (glitchtrap) and her searches, they send her to a new huge pizzaplex as a head security guard despite her havinge NO background with overnight security. Well SHE has no backround, but Mr.Afton definitely does, which probably explains her extreem work ethic despite seeming Detatched and distracted on work duty. I dont know what this all amounts to but I think these are some interesting obvservations on my opnion.
I feel like I need to mention the fact that on the official Game Jolt account for Vanessa(trust me it’s official) she says that she previously was the IT for something in Fazbear Ent. and now she is the security guard.(Consider this some backup facts if needed.)
Actually there’s something I wanna point out about this. In one of the earlier tapes, it’s mentioned that her father’s name is bill. If Vanessa really had no background, then who is bill? Honestly my best guess is that bill is actually William afton. I don’t know if this is just a thing where I’m from, but bill can be short for William. It could all be part of a big fabricated lie that afton made up to get Vanessa in with the fazbear higher ups.
@@DramaLlamaTheatrics Well her name is confirmed to be Vanessa A., we are 99% sure A. is short for Afton. I just want to know if the name Bill was ever mentioned in Fazbear Frights, or the upcoming Tales from the Pizzaplex.
@Carlos So can we infer that V_A is substitution for Vanessa afton? at least in the fabricated story. I feel that after looking stuff up and reading what you said, Afton attempts to have Vanessa experience and become his servant kind of what he tried to do with Elizabeth. That would explain the faking of the past said in the tapes AND justify that Vanny and Vanessa are one in the same. I dont feel the "Twin theory" has any merit besides being a copout. Its much more satisfying that over time Vanessa becomes more and more corrupt by Glitchtrap and eventually he blinds her with his past making her a loyal servant. This is supported with what @DramaLlama VA said about Bill being a substitution for william. This concept of her being corrupted overtime also makes sense on why she wouldnt remember killing her therapists (They knew too much) and why 46 (The one that doesnt talk) isnt surprised by the and changes. I think Ive been thinking about this too much XD.
That last therapist has legit dug their own grave. I mean she did dig into Vanessa’s past and straight up confront her about it. Now, Vanny knows that she has to get rid of her immediately.
the tapes definitely confirm that vanessa and vanny are one in the same. buying costume parts, talking to people on her computer.. i believe when vanessa is silent that is actually glitchtrap/afton in control of her and trying to imitate her.
Glitchtrap is Elizabeth Afton this is why Vanny says that her dad was bill/william, And why Vanesa's alternate personality (Vanny) is so childish and evil, And it explains why William Afton is dead and still in hell/ucn. However whether or not the spring trap at the end of the game is Elizabeth possessing it or her bringing her dad back to life isn't confirmed.
So from what I hear, there's 2 separate interviews. By 11, Vanessa has clearly tried to trap Afton, but has been unsuccessful. As she says, he can be anywhere, and likely can possess her at will; perhaps that's why she continues to be silent. Afton can possess her if she starts to say too much, or go against his will. She tried to compartmentalize him, trap him, but it didn't work maybe? We free her in one ending, implying that Vanessa has been trapped completely and Afton is after Gregory for other reasons. As to why Afton is after Greggy, it could be Remnant, or perhaps Greggy is connected to him somehow. People have been going missing as it is, but the fascination with Greggy, why greggy was there, and how he fits into everything makes me feel like Afton was trying to track down this kid especially. I think Gregory is Afton's grandkid, and wants to body snatch him so he can start over again in a kid's body
I mean one of the therapists say that her dad was named BILL, which could be a nickname for someone named WILLIAM… and if we take the theory that the reason greggy is there is because he is related to vanny (possibly her child) which could make him William’s grandkid. The only prob with this is that didn’t William only have 2 sons and a daughter (sorry if I’m wrong I never played any of the games just love the lore aspect and haven’t even fully caught up in it), and all of them I think are dead. Idk this is prob wrong just a thought. Maybe she is a child of Afton not mentioned because.. she time traveled thru the ball pit 😳 EDIT: I didn’t watch thru whole vid yet so this may be wrong
This whole thing wouldn't really take place if afton's daughter didn't get killed by baby and crying child getting killed by fredbear. Making William a murderer
i think gregory just ... happens to be there. from what we can tell, he's homeless right, he is the perfect vicitm, no one would miss him if snatched. if he had a bigger role, besides the character we play, we would have had any sort of info on him. but we clearly dont know anything. he's, imo, just a kid that happens to be in the mall after they closed. even Vanessa says like that she only knows his name cause of the watch.
Life lesson: Never take "therapy" help from large operations with terrible health records, especially those that are funded by money-grabbing companies like fazbear entertainment.
not really lore related, i really liked the 3rd therapist, and how all the therapist were different in their way of speech and approaching issues, how professional or how friendly they are, how they confronted the issues. i feel like the 3rd therapist was the best fit for vanessa, if she would have been there before meeting glitchtrap she could have made so much progress
Same, I think of them all 3rd was the lest "policial interrogation" of the bunch and actually cared at least to an extent, the others just feel like a shit therapist mandated by a megacorp to gather info more than to actually help the worker
I have a strong feeling Vanessa’s the one who killed the therapists that went missing and were found dead. Especially when they sound really close to figuring out her communication with Glitchtrap and what she’s doing.
most definitely did because in the one ending vanny uses the staff bots to disassemble freddy. and in one of the interviews the therapist says the other therapists body was messed up and looked like it was mangled up by a type of machinery (staff bots)
At the end, when it revealed that what vanessa told the therapist about her family wasn't true, and that she had a great life. I feel like that custody battle might of been from Glitchtrap/William's past. Since he and vanny merged in vr he can tell his story through her. All of those bad memories might have been from William/glitchtrap.
But doesn't the therapist in CD 3 say that they know Vanessa's mother? Like, the therapist clearly states "I know your mum after (a weird noise) she lost the custody case"? It means the custody case was true. I don't believe the therapist would make things up about knowing Vanessa's mother and she clearly has heard about Vanessa's dad whose name is "Bill." (We know that, "Bill" is a short name for "William"). I believe Vanessas's mother was another patient that would come for therapy after the custody case. Now Vanessa is seeing the same therapist that her mother has seen. (Excuse me for any misspelling or grammatical errors.)
I think (?) the idea is that Vanny somehow has Elizabeth's memories, or William is somehow overriding her memories to make her think he's her father. To make her more dependent on him
@@KavinCatastrophe i think she was a reluctant follower until the end of CDB, in which presumably glitchtrap “locks” the person’s subconscious and takes over/frees himself. She might be fully under control. Both vanessa and vanny show a strong desire of catching gregory
Something I like is that it's implied that Glitchtrap isn't just using mind control to control Vanessa. He's using problems from her life against her, guilting her into compliance, like an abusive relationship.
OKAY! So here’s my theory for these: There are 2 sets of interviews happening. Vanessa is who talks back to the therapist and glitchtrap is the silent one. The awful custody battle/ tragic backstory isn’t Vanessa’s, it’s WILLIAM AFTON’S!!! His father is “Bill” or William Sr! HE’S MANIPULATING VANESSA LIKE HIS DAD MANIPULATED HIM. Boom. The end. Also glitchtrap kidnapped the therapists (and killed the one) because they were getting too damn close to figuring everything out!! And Vanessa’s recommendation from the higher ups was her hacking into the system (we learned that in the FNAF AR emails.)
You do raise an interesting point- and I have VERY similar thoughts- people keep thinking that Vanessa has a twin, and while that may be possible, I personally think it’s either Vanessa getting more and more corrupted by William or William taking her over more- It’s the same body, different personality
@@Clownified_Disaster Yeah! I totally think it’s a Jekyl/ Hyde type deal. Some days Vanessa has more control, some days glitchtrap does. There are obvious gaps in her memory in regards to the various therapists’ disappearances, even their sessions in general. Obviously glitchtrap kills them/ kidnaps them while in control of Vanessa.
@@FuntimeClown Dude I’m telling you…that was the FIRST thought I had when the therapist said that Vanessa lied about her past…I was like, yo that’s gotta be Afton’s past. I’ll bet that while they’re sharing a brain, she can see his memories too.

13:20 when she said " I HAVE, i have compartmentailsed him", she meant that she has suppressed her thoughts and emotions about "him". its a psychological defense mechanism where thoughts and emotions are being kept, sort of seperate or isolated from everything else. its really interesting.
I think at that part that vanessa was referring to Literally 'comparmentalizing' him (him being glitchtrap/william, via the tapes in help wanted) while the therapist who doesnt know about that misintereprets this as vanessa saying she pushed the feelings and memories about her dad into the back of her mind
It sounds like two different people getting therapy sessions, switching between the two and finding more about them. The first being Vanessa and the second unknown, one theory I saw which seems the most agreeable it it being a young Afton. Also these therapy sessions are sounding more like interrogations instead of actual therapy lmao, they're doing a pretty bad job but they'd make great detectives.
Weirdly enough, I think Vanessa is actually both characters. A lot of people seem to disagree, but I could see it being almost a split personality caused by Glitchtrap. One side is more similar to him, preferring dark caves and not talking much. The other is Vanessa, who likes flowers and sun, but is struggling with work.
@@jackietheclown people use the rooftop ending as "proof" theres two people. But its most likely a fake ending like in FNAF 3, Sister location or pizzeria simulator.

Tape 14 seems to hit it on the nose, here... She hits the subtlety that her real self (who NT is in the office), isn't particularly designed to be wanting to live in the Mega Pizzaplex. She's antisocial, yet lives in a social environment. She gets shy and repressive over her computer skills, yet doesn't deny that she tampered with them. This whole ordeal is a sort of Joker thing; where fragments of both Afton's and NT's pasts are being jumbled up into a cohesive whole; but completely camouflages either personality... Just like Joker tells a different origin story every single time he's somehow prompted to say... But evidence in deeper files and lore do not discount a single story. It's not because she's lying, or doesn't know. She's technically telling the therapists the truth; and the therapists are indeed making progress. But all progress and all information from the interrogations are completely undermined. Corrupted. Useless... Because it's two truths stitched into one. Put back together like some sort of jigsaw puzzle or robot. Cohesive. Mysterious. Understandable... But altogether unreadable.
@@timelessdust3001 "NT" is who the community is referring to when the entity who inhabits the Vanny costume is spoken about; as it has been confirmed by multiple theorists and an actual FNAF:SB Ending that Vanessa is in fact, NOT Vanny...
After listening to all of these, my theory is that the same technology or magic used when the children possessed the animatronics is now being used on Vanessa and she's possessed by one of Afton's dead children. -She is disturbed by the flowers, something that stood out in FNAF 4.. the vase of flowers by the bedside table -She acts like a child half the time, wanting candy and to hold the Rorschach Test. Regular Vanessa won't eat the candy because of the calories. A child went straight for the candy. -She talks about her father being named Bill and going through a tragedy. That one is taken down by 1 simple fact. We know that "Security Breach" happens in 2030-something. Whereas William's Childhood would be more like 1980's. @@_.PurriiLixx._ there is another ending SPOILER: The ending where vanny catches Gregory and freddy pushes her off? Well there is another with Vanessa on the other side of the building looking down at them. They are not the same person at all
Might be an out-there theory, but I think the idea of Elizabeth and/or Circus Baby being involved as Vanessa's double is a possibility. The obvious age regression suggests a child, but it couldn't _physically_ be a child, considering this "child" has a job. So this childlike mindset is still coming from an adult figure. The ink blot tests are different, the tones vary and sometimes there isn't even a voice to begin with; the interest in light, candy, and even sitting positions contrast. What if our unmasked Vanny is Circus Baby? We know it isn't beyond her capabilities to entirely replicate a human (seen in trilogy with TTO and TFC), and Vanny's voice always had this oddly robotic sound to it?? Even in teaser trailers??? Could the reference to a manipulative and intimidating father named "Bill" be part of Elizabeth's memory? With the potential line of "I was supposed to be a good girl" coming into play? thoughts r appreciated :)

Here’s my theory: In the conversations, there seems to be splits in personality, the childish side of Vanessa, which seems a little darker than the other side, and the more age-appropriate side. Then we have the lie of Vanessa’s dad being manipulative and called Bill. What if it wasn’t actually a lie, what if that she actually believed her father was called Bill because *he was*. Atleast for the childish side. What I’m getting at is that somewhere along the line, Vanessa got the memories of Elizabeth Afton. I have no idea how, the only reasonable thing I can imagine is that Vanessa was the one who made the new Glitchtrap body, which seems to be a mixture of his old Springtrap body and the Glamrock Endo. What if one of the only souls that the Blob thing didn’t get was Elizabeth’s? So Vanessa could of gotten Scrap Baby’s remaining remnant to put into Burntrap, but instead, it went into her, which gave Vanessa her memories. Or, it could be a representation of what William thought Elizabeth thought of him.
i dont think so. the british therapist is the clue. 1st conversation we hear the Brit, Vanessa is asking " i dont know you, where is the other one?" 2nd time we here the Brit therapist, she asks "you're not surprised seeing me sitting here are you?" but .. what all of that means, no idea ha.
Vanessa suffered brainwashing by glitchtrap, a creation from the virtual afton that tries to escape in the "cannon" ending, so probably it created some damage to her mental state in general
Hot take, but I think the nonverbal “side” of Vanessa, who also claimed to have a bad childhood, is Elizabeth Afton. Her dad’s name is Bill, he’s a bad and manipulative person, her mom’s out of the picture, and she may be nonverbal from trauma. She’s also susceptible to manipulation from William Afton, who is also present. This would explain the digital conversations: William manipulating Elizabeth into doing his bidding. Vanessa herself is also present, but she’s not complicit in the crimes of vanny. She may even have, essentially, dissociative amnesia. (Which, could lead to a conversation about the stigmatization of DID, but I don’t think most alters are digital consciousness copies.) This is definitely a reach, but I can’t shake the feeling that vanny is somehow connected to one of the Afton children, and I think Elizabeth makes the most sense, at least in terms of physical appearance. Interested to see what the real theorists come up with. This could also help explain why there are two vanessas in one of the endings. In fact, maybe there are two separate people all along; not sure how this would align with the events of VR though.
I mean Vanessa does look like the girl who baby killed who we believed was Williams daughter perhaps she is a rebuilt version of her which would explain why she is so different
ok so im seeing alot of confusion, im calling it now before Matpat does. The two people are Vanessa and Vanny. When we hear Vanessa talk, its the good personality. The quiet tapes are Vanny, the evil killer persona. From what I can tell the story is this: After the VR game, Glitchtrap makes Vanessa think she is Bill's daughter (Bill being another name for William aka Afton) and had a bad childhood like Mike. She uses this as a sob story to work at Fazbear Special Delivery and later the new location. We know she worked there from the emails in the AR game to Lewis and about her dodgy google searches such as "brainwashing" and "how to influence others" Everytime a therapist gets close to her secret, Glitchtrap makes her kill them. By the last two tapes, Vanessa is told her backstory as an Afton is a lie and in the final tape she kills the fourth therapist. These are set before the game. BEFORE killing therapist 4 she is seen with her Vanny mask in hand on a poor quality camera "your talking to someone, or holding something, with bunny ears." Gregory just chose the wrong day to be locked inside. Look how pissed off she was when finding him , locking him in the room probably knowing her Vanny personality would kill him. "Why do you think Afton is locked up by Vanessa?" - I find it weird that Vanny/Vanessa has him in a H shapped hallway where she is watching him on camera's and can burn him constantly. And I doubt Afton / Glitchtrap would say yes to such a lair after being burned alive twice already FNAF 3 and Pizzeria Simulator. After realising her origin was a lie by Glitchtrap, she is now torturing him. Also as pointed out bellow, the place where he is is the same location from Pizzeria Simulator where he died the second time, and is deep underground bellow the megaplex. "the quiet person isnt Vanessa or Vanny" - Therapist 2 says the quiet person has looked up some questionable things "on company time" Now i dont care what country you are from (except china) but no child works for a company where children have been murdered by old men for over 30 years. But a young 20 something year old woman? Certainly. And what "wuestionable things" has our mute looked up? Hmm maybe "how to tell if you are being brainwashed" like Vanessa did the the Special Delivery game. Like Lewis said to her in that game, the therapist says to the mute tape "its pinged some interesting searches you made." "The therapist said that the chair didnt fit her and she ate candy as a mute" - Thats because Vanny, the killer persona, eats candy. And as someone who has been to a shrink, i can tell you first hand, they have kid seats. Little plastic bucket chairs about 1/3 normal size, big soft sofa chair and sometimes a hard wooden chair, as well as the reclined couch if your going for anxiety hypnosis. Vanny sits on the kid seats and helps herself to candy. Vanessa, being a more 'normal' persona, declines candy because of the fat, sits in a normal chair and just stares at the sky afraid of herself. In the final tape, therapist 4 calls the mute Vanessa. "any other proof n00b?"- We know the mute is Vanessa because of the tape numbers in game. There are two tape numbers in game as they play, Vanessa always talks as one, and the other number never talks. Until the last two tapes. And the last two tapes are the number used for the mute, however Therapist 4 calls her Vanessa and outs her backstory as a lie and how she was loed for, to which the mute (who is named Vanessa by the therapist) stands up and shakes her head no. And from what we hear, Vanessa switches to her Vanny identity and murders her fourth therapist. if you still have doubts, then thats fair. I had to put this evidece and theory out while it was fresh. edit notes - i ammended the Glitchtrap part to the mask as i was mistaken. I also i I also included the megaplex being built ontop of the simulator location as mentioned bellow. Thank you for the feedback. I hopefully will release the my theory video by weeks end.
Something that should be mentioned, the pizza place under the pizzaplex, its stage and layout is similar to the fnaf6 locations at highest upgrade. So maybe William wasnt moved at all. He was just found again
this is the most likely scenario i know people use the rooftop ending as proof but this is FNAF most likely that was her soul that was still trapped looking on in horror as she sees herself dead wouldn't you be surprised if you saw your own dead body
FNAF also has a habbit of making bad - fake endings. Look at FNAF 3, Sister location AND VR, they had conflicting endings too. How can Mike be scooped AND go home to watch his daily vampire sitcom? They conflict. Im writing this into a script to post. The underground IS the Simulator place, the layouts the same, i just looked today while writing my script for a rant because im getting so much hate on other videos. Her being on the roof is either the spirit of Vanessa OR simple sollution - its the fake ending.
@@funtimegamer8733 in which case the "whats that you have there on the camera, it looks like a mask or something with long ears" is her Vanny mask in hand. And if the place is shut, she is on route to the under pizzeria to torture some more. I should also mention, the pizzaplex was shut for a few days when we are trapped, not oppening for another 3 days for maintanence. So Vanny / Vanessa had a whole 2-3 days to torture william again. Gregory messed her schedule up.
Okay I see a lot of comments about Vanessa and Vanny possibly being two different people. And I believe that's plausible, but with the split personality and the Glitching that is frequent with Gregory when she appears. Along with the fact that Freddy mentions that he could see Vanessa because of Roxy's eyes. Maybe.. like Glitchtrap, Vanny isn't exactly Vanessa, just like Glitchtrap isn't exactly Afton, but a digital copy of his memory. That gained physical appearances once we pieced the tapes together. So maybe Vanny is a digital split personality that as Afton progressed to infect her, caused her to create a physical/digital copy of herself. Because even in the disc recordings Vanessa has hints of Afton controlling her.
I think it's the same person just shows 2 different prsonalities. In fnaf AR it is even more obvious. In her (from Luis which she mentions here too) messages we can find: "It's like there's two sides of you, and I get that - I feel like that, too. Some days, I'm unstoppable, and some days I'm just... stopped. There's the bright, happy side of you that orders cupcake cookbooks, and rainbow hair extensions, and that glittery pink journal with all the pictures of puppies, and that's great. But then there's the side of you that ordered chocolate and flowers for yourself and pretended they were from your boyfriend 'Brad.' I'm not judging you for being lonely - I definitely understand where you're coming from there. But, Ness, I also saw what you had written on that card. 'Flowers for your grave'? Why would you have an imaginary boyfriend who's threatening to kill you?" Another time Luis also made this remark "One day you're researching flowers and the migration patterns of bees (fascinating, right?) and the next day you type in 'How far can a human being be cut in half before losing consciousness".
Vanessa/vanny is very interesting. She's filled with lore and I love that! She's becoming my favorite character. We need a DLC with the rest of the tapes and showing more of Vanessa.
you can take this as me overlooking or thinking too deep into the game, but Vanessa should have been a suspect of the murders when the three therapists died out of coincidence or went "missing" the last tape stood the most damning piece of evidence of them all as they should have a record of the patients that attended the therapists, overall I think they should have connected the murders to her unless she removed her trace but, if that were true they would have not had records of Vanessa, feel free to add your perspective to my overthinking
I think you’re right, the therapist changed when they talked to Vanessa about her contacting someone, I think Vanny is being manipulated by Vanessa who’s being controlled by glitchtrap so that she survives and vanny dies in the ending cutscene,
This is true, but therapists, especially company mandated ones, have MANY patients. So if one of their patients is a suspect, all of them would be. There’s no evidence that Vanessa was explicitly plotting to kill them in these discs, so the police couldn’t really go off of them could they?
So ending all debate here, Vanessa and Vanny are NOT the same. This is not a theory, it is confirmed. The burning down the pizzaplex ending has a hidden part to it that, when unlocked , shows that after Gregory unmasks Vanny, showing what looks to be Vanessa, it then cuts to the top of the building, still on fire, and standing there looking over is…Vanessa. She’s not the one in the Vanny suit. In fact she looks horrified herself. So I see two possibilities here. One, Vanessa has a twin that was behind it and messing with her sister, but that just seems bizzare, or two…Vanny was Baby. The books revealed Baby has the tech that allows her to morph into another person, able to pass as a perfect copy. This could explain her different personalities, her strange genius at tech and computers, while her other self seems to have bare minimum knowledge at best, and connection to William, and maybe even it explains that “tragic backstory”. That wasn’t Vanessa’s history, but Elizabeth Afton’s history. We know next to nothing about Mrs. Afton. And “Bill” is actually a nickname for William… Edit: An interesting thing to also take note of, Vanessa and Vanny are voiced by two different people. Vanny’s voice actress, Marta Svetek also plays Roxanne Wolf and Gregory. But Vanessa is voiced by Heather Masters who, get this, voices Circus Baby. It might mean something, it might mean nothing. I would have thought the voices would be the other way around. Edit 2: Some more evidence exists in the Funko merch. I know you might scoff and say the merch wouldn’t have anything canon, but that’s not true since the merch has actually been used to tease canon elements before, like the existence of Ennard. Anyway a funko figure exists that has Vanny standing on one side of a plant, holding a finger to the mouth of her mask, but crouching low on the opposite side of the is Vanessa, who is searching with her flashlight but curiously glancing towards where Vanny is out of the corner of her eye. This also implies they are in fact, two different people. Edit 3: More evidence, there are two beds in the Pizzaplex. One is the hideout with the word “VANNY” on the wall and the Princess Quest game above Fazer Blast, the other is the one below the Pizzaplex, where the final boss fight is with Afton. There’s a purple rabbit painted on the wall, and tally marks scratched on the wall too. Like someone had been trapped down there. (Perhaps Vanessa herself had been trapped down there, explaining her traumatized self in some of the therapy tapes, clearly afraid of “him”.) After all, while I don’t think Vanessa is necessarily Vanny anymore, she definitely is involved with Afton SOMEHOW. Plus she seems to know something and be up to something. In her security guard dialogue when she’s searching for Gregory, she repeatedly says “it’s not a good night for this” and that “you picked a bad night!”. Why? What’s so special about that night? Would you be in a better mood if I came back tomorrow or next week? Either my girl had a bad evening prior to her shift, or she was up to something that night and Gregory being there could jeopardize it. More evidence to that, all the security levels had been raised before we even started to be a problem, as Freddy says the security levels had been raised higher than normal that night. But why would she do that before she even knew you were there? Unless she was trying to catch or stop a different intruder? That could be why more and more security barriers pop up through the night. She could either just be trying to stop and catch you like first assumed, or stop and catch Vanny. Or both.
@@bubullus1169 I mean, why would William Afton go to such lengths to murder children lol. He basically discovered the secret to immortality, made gravity defying robots and learned the secrets of remnent, and instead of using those things for good or for some sort of bigger goal, he instead does the same thing he’s always done. Used it in his Pizza chain it murder children. Baby had probably been driven insane by all the “controlled shocks” she had to go through and years of being locked up in SL. She’s obsessed with earning her father’s approval. Hence the bunny suit. The motives of villains in these games rarely make any sense when you try think about them.
She also said her father's name is Bill, which is short for William. Edit: whoops, didn't see that you already said that. Vanessa and Baby have the same eye color too.
The unmasking ending disagrees since Vanny's mask is off and we see Vanessa immediately. We also see Springtrap in another ending but no Vanny. In the Vanny ending, Vanny is killed and the guard is nowhere in sight. Furthermore, if you find Vanny's lair, Freddy spells it out. Vanny=Vanessa+Bunny. Vanny has high level security clearance. Vanny and Vanessa never run into each other. More points to Vanny and Vanessa being the same person.
This was a great video. I´m glad I could hear all of those tapes, but there´s still some ??? in my head, since the therapists didn´t really explain or mention WHAT exactly happened in Vanessas past. But it´s interesting to kinda see that Vanessa wasn´t really talkative but in the actual game where she`s chasing you she talks quite much I think. The jumpscare at the end got me tho xD
For me looks like she (after being controled by glitchtrap) lied about her good past to justified her actions and distract the company who is trying to help her. Thinking she has a problem gives her more time before they get rid of her, and kinda justified why she change her actions in only weeks or months
Obviously, having a bad past don't justified your actual actions, but maybe fazbear don't want more problems like with jeremy and try to care a lot for the mental and physical state of the employes
Did anyone else noticed that his father name is Bill - Will - William and in the emails from help wanted shes referred as Vannesa A.? ... i mean... Vanessa Afton... i think its pretty clear isnt?
Whenever they bring up her mysteries interactions there’s always a new therapist right after. As if something happened to them because they knew too much
I’m not buying the “they’re two different people” theory, there’s so much overwhelming evidence to basically confirm that they’re the same person. Vanny is Vanessa’s alter-ego/split personality whilst under Glitchtrap’s control, which is why she acts different in some of the tapes
Update: Someone pointed this out in the comments section but the Cd Files/codes can be separate the different sessions by the patients. The first two digits after the dash indicate patient 71)Vanessa) and the other is Patient 46(Someone else) maybe Vanny. Patient 71 is taped 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11,12. Patient 46 is 2, 4, 6, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16. New Theory In one of the tapes Vanessa said she "Compartmentalize him" makes me believe that she is the Tape Girl from Help Wanted and Vanny Is the Player Character. Okay so Check this out what if Vanny and Vanessa are actually not Twins But Sisters one Older and One slightly younger or they are mother and Daughter. Vanessa had manage to stop Glitchtrap by breaking him up but had to go to therapy to deal with the Trauma. But her Family member Vanny uses her Company Computer to play the game and Accidentally free Glitchtrap.(This would explain why Vanessa is getting all tje emails that says she doing strange activities on her computer because a family member was using it.) Vanessa sends Vanny to the Same Therapist she has to help but has not yet reliaze Vanny has been completly been taken over. But she eventually did or believes she is connected to Glitchtrap or she is Aware Glitchtrap has taken over her family member and is trying to keep her safe until she can find a way to her. Once Vanessa moves to a New Job at The Pizzaria Plex becacuse Glitchtrap Vanny had to come with her. Vanessa the Security Guard who is Tape Girl is on a Mission to save her Daughter or Sister Vanny who is the Player Character from Glitchtrap.
No because vannesa mentions luis from the ar game and he is emailing someone called ness or vannessa about searching "how to induce compliance in human subjects" and "how to induce self compliance" meaning vanessa has to be vanny
@Sam O That is true......This is me Reaching Here but Perhaps Vanny And Vanessa both Work at Fazbear Entertainment. Since they both have Very Different skills they was in different departments so they never ran into each.( I know how ridiculous that sounds). Vanessa and Vanny who has Similar first name and the same Last Name is probably being confused by the staff that they are One Person. Vanessa who has a great relationship with the other Employees like Luis is probably friends with him.(Which would explain his uncomfortable flirting email) While Vanny who keeps to herself. So when Vanny does weird things using their computers. Some people who knows her as Vanessa is telling her about it. Or the other way around when Vanny does weird things on the computer the Staff is Telling Vanessa about it. Which is probably how she figured out what going on. This could also explain how both Vanessa and Vanny got A Job at the Pizzaria Plex. As Glitchtrap got them Both a Job unknowingly to work their.
Also one of the endings has Freddy push vanny off the roof of the establishment. Clearly the fall killed her, and Gregory unmasks vanny, but after the credits, Vanessa is seen on the roof, looking down seemingly sad. So
Sooo.. watching the ending where Vanny gets torn apart by those Maintenance bots.. Could that be how that one therapist was killed?? Or Springtrap before she apparently “locked him up”??
As far as I can tell, most theories have been put into the comments so not going to repeat what’s been said. Except for this one and to elaborate on this one: Vanessa had been asked about the costume and buying fake fur for the costume and been looking at costumes online. This comes across that the suit is a handmade costume rather than a shop brought costume. With previous theories leading Vanessa to be controlled by a higher power (AKA Afton) and the fact that Vanessas history shows that she had been searching for costumes and fur. I believe that it is NOT Vanessa looking for the costume and fur, but Afron controlling Vanessa to look for the costume and fur. This then leads into point number 2, where Vanessa seems to be getting into her Vanny/Bunny suit and maybe Vanessa has no recollection of getting into that suit because it is Aftons control over her making her get into the suit. (Long shot but worth putting it out there) This makes me believe that Afton has control over Vanessa in certain ways, but shown in different theories and pictures that Vanessa is trying to disconnect herself from Aftons grasp by her other searches on the internet. Going onto the missing therapists. These have obviously been killed and disposed of. That’s the easy way to look at it as Vanessa makes it seem like she enjoys the fact they are missing/dead and seemed to have done the murders or caused the disappearances (another long shot but bare with). Notice how one of the therapists was found “mangled, almost like with machinery”. This could go with a separate thought that she had been stuffed but this is unlikely. The more likely scenario is that she had been lured to the pizza plex by some force (notice how they mention about Vanessa’s search history and the encrypted messages) and led by Vanny to her death by an animatronic. Not sure this is going to stick but notice how some of the animatronics have human qualities about them; Freddy with his care for Gregory and not wanting to hurt him. Almost like Freddy cares about Gregory and wanting to keep him safe. Chica with her love for pizza and eating, which I found very unusual until I’ve heard these tapes. And Roxy for her human like speech and emotion throughout the game and especially after being broken. In the beginning of the game, we see Roxy self-loving herself or speaking to someone about her performance and how everyone loves her. Then when she is broken, she cries a lot and speaks of her hair and just very much human like. Hence why I think that the therapist who was found dead was fused with Roxy in some way. Notice how the only animatronic I didn’t mention was Monty, I struggle to see a human connection between Monty and any human in the tapes/game. Going into the very last tape: Where the therapist speaks to Vanessa in a way that no other therapist does and seems to know and understand more of what’s going on. The last CD seems to be the last in the lineup and by this point before Vanessa stops going to therapy. In this, we can understand that the “glitch” is in full swing and there’s not a huge amount that can be done to reverse it without taking out the source. Which, in this theory, seems to be Afton and NOT Vanessa. The evidence for this is when we have to take on William Afton underneath the Pizza Plex, Afton is the one taking control of Freddy, in doing so and uploading the virus to Freddy, his eyes turn purple and proceeds to Attack Gregory. Maybe this is what Afton tried to do at the very beginning of the game where Freddy malfunctioned but was able to fight off the virus having a positive effect on Freddy instead of a negative one? This “glitch” or “virus” could also have been uploaded successfully to the rest of the animatronics (except for S.T.A.F.F bots) Back to that glitch, what if Afton is no longer powerful enough to distribute that glitch himself so has Vanessa do it for him? This could tie in with a theory of the bunny who captures us in FNAF VR not actually being Afton and being a Slave or Distributor for Aftons glitch. That therapist also mentioned about the source moving. This could mean it is moving between Afton and Vanny, or even between everyone who’s been infected by the glitch: meaning that the true source could never be tracked. Then when the techs tried to fix the glitch, the source moved. Meaning that someone or something live knows that the glitch is being tampered with. This would lead into the therapist mentioning that this was an intentional glitch rather than a regular virus. Viruses can be fixed however, glitches that shift from source to source can not be fixed. She mentions about the sub-routines coming from Vanessa, which could mean that Afton has given Vanessa full control as Afton himself grows weaker. After being caught lying about her parents and her past, Vanessa gets angry and then, as far as we can all tell, the therapist doesn’t make it to the next session. My thinking is that the last therapist knew something about Vanessa which was more personal and hit differently. How did the therapist know about her past and that Vanessa had a good childhood? The other therapists know only what’s put in front of them and not on a personal level, whereas this therapist seems to know more, almost like she has known Vanessa from a young age. Almost like a family friend or someone who knows what happened for real. This may all sound like just rubbish to some but there should be some sense made out of this.
I'm going to listen to the tapes and write down notes for me to come back to and respond to. My theory is that Vanny's actually Circus Baby and Vanessa's Elizabeth Afton. You'll see how much sense it actually makes. CD1 is obviously what people say is Vanessa. Which in my theory's actually Elizabeth. The therapist mentions she's been talking to someone encrypted. However she denies that and say's she's been talking to Louis. Strange, nothing special yet. CD2 is Circus Baby Immediately it gets mentioned how she doesn't like Light. "When the shades are closed it feels like a cave?" doesn't seem strange for someone who's been trapped in an underground facility for so many years. Circus Baby also doesn't bother talking AT ALL. Also notice how she finds it funny how the therapist might get in trouble. CD3 Back to Elizabeth. See how she's confused as to what happened to her therapist? She doesn't know what's going on. "Your dads name's Bill?" Which is often used for William". She starts kind of talking to herself, and ends up saying "I try to do what i'm supposed to do", like someone's giving instructions to her. "I was supposed to be a good girl" Notice how she's actually upset about this? Why would the REAL Vanessa be so upset about something that didn't happen to her? Also how could Vanessa be in her body when we clearly see her trapped inside of Princess Quest? CD4 Back to Circus Baby. She seems to notice flowers and seems to dislike them, also seems pretty alert. Again she's not talking. This chair doesn't fit you, does it? Could mean she's too small, or maybe a giant animatronic wouldn't actually fit inside of a normal chair? Notice how Elizabeth was surprised to see her new therapist, while Circus Baby isn't surprised at all. "You don't come across as a trouble maker" it isn't like her to be a trouble maker because Elizabeth's not one, while Circus Baby's actually a big trouble maker. The therapist says that she's a phenom in computers. That she has unusual skill, like a hacker. Sounds like that'd be normal for a robot right? CD5 Back to Elizabeth. The therapist asks her about the "manipulative" messages she's been getting. She says she gets a lot of messages from friends and ignores the question. Whoever this is is hacking inside of the REAL Vanessa's personal information. Would be logical if you were to be inside of someone else's body right. You need to have information right, or else someone might find you suspicious. NOTICE*** "I'm not in the tech department i just type on the computers" Weird right? Last conversation she's a phenom in hacking and now she's just typing? "Some people know more than i do, sometimes i just need to listen" LISTEN to how she says "just need to listen" It sounds EXACTLY like Circus Baby's voice. I know it's the same voice actor, but the way she says it is exactly the same. Who does she need to listen to? Maybe Elizabeth has to listen to Circus Baby. CD6 Circus Baby takes a piece of candy, which is pretty important later on. "Not a care in the world huh?" No, why would a robot have emotions? Especially an evil manipulative killer. Notice how she says she's like talking from a book. It seems like Circus Baby's trying to also tell the story of what happened to Elizabeth, but her story's obviously more obscure. "Good at self dialogue". Yes, Circus Baby and Elizabeth have been talking for a long time, they have possessed the same body for a while. So that makes a lot of sense. Asking yourself questions and getting answers, Circus Baby asking if everything's going as planned and Elizabeth telling her yes. Give yourself time to think back to what happened part, which isn't going to happen because Circus Baby probably doesn't care at all. "Let yourself be upset about it, so you can let it go" Could mean that Elizabeth might forgive Afton for what he's done. Which isn't great. CD7 Back to Elizabeth. She declines the piece of candy, making the excuse that it's 35 calories a piece. Believe me, that's not a lot. Why would she make an excuse? Maybe last time she took some sort of treat (like ice cream?) she got killed by SOMETHING? She likes to sit outside and read, like we see the "Elizabeth" do in FNAF 4. CD8 Back to Circus Baby. Notice how she doesn't say no or yes to the therapist asking her about if she wrote down the things she's upset about. She doesn't even nod, which kind of implies that she doesn't actually know whether Elizabeth wrote it down or not. CD9 Elizabeth again, she likes the flower smell. "I don't like dark basements" sounds about right for someone who was so desperate to escape a giant basement/facility deep underground (might i also say UNDER A HOUSE, which makes it an actual basement too). CD10 Elizabeth or Circus Baby seems relaxed again, like she doesn't care about anything. She states that she has a non disclosure agreement, and that she won't talk. But i'm confused whether this is Circus Baby or Elizabeth. Because her voice sounds A LOT like Circus Baby, and i know Circus Baby doesn't talk, but Circus Baby's usually the most relaxed one out of the two. CD11 This is Elizabeth. When she's asked "I noticed you've bought fake fur, what're you going to make." She starts talking to herself again, almost like asking SOMEONE for permission to answer or maybe what to answer. It seems like Elizabeth's actually scared of Afton. It could be possible she's paranoid. Notice how she says "He could be here, or there, or anywhere" like it isn't inside of her. So she can't be possessed by Afton when she says he could be anywhere. She also says she locked him away, which could be in the Pizzeria Simulator maze. We see him deep underground, if Vanessa wanted to bring him up, she could. Since she's been repairing him (Later tapes) so bringing him up wouldn't be too hard. Maybe Elizabeth put up the Molten Freddy monster as security to keep William down there, as we see Molten Freddy react upon seeing Afton immediately. Notice how she says 'triggered' like the spirit of Elizabeth's actually got mental issues/trauma because of Afton, which is NO surprise. CD12 "I'm needed somewhere else now, t h a n k y o u" SOUNDS A LOT LIKE CIRCUS BABY. It's possible this is Circus Baby answering, it's unclear. Probably still Elizabeth. CD13 Circus Baby isn't upset about her therapist going missing at all. It seems she knows more =). "Mangled by machinery" Obviously how the Funtimes used to kill. "Maybe i should be watching my back" and Circus Baby smiles. Pretty obvious what's going to happen. CD14 Circus Baby being happy to hear "Technicians running around with their heads cut off", seems like a typical Circus Baby thing. Maybe even hinting towards Funtime Freddy's story in the books. "Made programs that talk back and repeat phrases" This is Elizabeth talking to Circus Baby. Repeating phrases and talk back, sounds like them chatting. CD15 "You like the idea of being disguised- You can get away with anything when you're invisible" This is Circus Baby obviously, she's disguised as so many people and she keeps doing it, Charlie, the girl in the Fright book. Now i might be wrong, but it sounds like Circus Baby's trying to communicate with Afton. It's going in and out of the building, meaning she's communicating with someone outside (underground probably) and there's a tv in the room Afton's in. So that wouldn't be surprising. Also he has the ability to take over animatronics so talking through the Charging Station wouldn't be too hard i believe. "An attempt to manipulate you, or lure you" Could be Circus Baby convincing Elizabeth to go down to Afton to help, cause she clearly doesn't want to. Or Afton convincing Elizabeth to go down too. "At this table, i can see your eyes" Is referencing the fact that Baby's always connected to eyes in some way. "I don't think you're being manipulated, i think YOU'RE the one manipulating" As you can see i scrapped what i said about Afton. Now it's clear that Circus Baby's manipulating Elizabeth to help revive Afton and kill people. They probably have 50/50 control (as we can see Vanessa and Vanny the same amount) so reviving someone while only having 50% controle doesn't sound very easy. That's probably why she's trying to convince her. CD16 Circus Baby once again liking Eerie more than Entertaining. Seems like Circus Baby's recreating Glitches. Cause the last part she mentions "software engineering" Could be that Circus Baby's creating or making glitches to help her. "Creating the same thing the glitch created" Which probably means Glitches making more Glitches. It's revealed that Vanessa/Vanny's been lying about her past. Obviously meaning that it's not her past, but Elizabeth's past. Vanessa had great parents, and great parents. Circus Baby gets angry and she shakes her head knowing she'll kill that therapist too. This is all proof i've got. Now, Vanessa's stuck inside of Princess Quest and Elizabeth/Circus Baby are controlling her. No she doesn't have a twin, why would a twin stand on a burning roof and look down? Oh wait lemme look worried at my evil twin while i'm being fried. It's Vanessa's spirit standing on the roof. Princess Quest isn't far from the roof. So it's her spirit looking at her life being taken away, that's why she looks more sad than confused. However that wasn't the ending. It seems like Circus Baby left her body either way, because we see her body inside of the Molten Freddy monster, along with the puppet and other robots. If their spirit were still in there then they'd be in control. Since Elizabeth's way more powerful as we can see in the books, surpassing even the Puppet. So that's the CDs explained, there are no plot holes in the CDs themselves. Outside maybe yes, but it's FNAF what did you expect XD.
Just a quick interjection for CD 4. There's usually more chairs at a therapist and the person can pick whatever chair they see fit. Seems more like circus baby picked the children's chair because that's more fitting for the persona.
She mentions something about "compartmentalizing" which seems to hint at a 2nd personality. The bunny suit being ordered from her computer is pretty incriminating too. I think she's just talking to the bunny head of the costume in tape 15 as well, which is why they say the image is distored.
Do you think Vanny is just Vanessa's alter ego? Same as Moondrop/Sunrise? Cause I doubt they're twins. First encounter with Vanny was with Freddy, he said to Gregory that he couldn't see what Gregory saw when Vanny was skipping.. Freddy appears to be confuse at that moment though..
It could be that afton is controlling part of her. One side of her is a clueless girl who wants to do her job. The othet is a mastermind hacker who can create software.
A theory of mine is while yes, there *is* a non-speaking person with the Therapist, it could be GlitchTrap trying to emulate Vanessa in order to get the therapists off his back? On some days, she is sane and normal, on other she's...not herself. The Therapist talks to someone who has a childlike mentality, i.e takes candy, doesn't fit in that chair but it could be Vanessa under the hypnosis of GlitchTrap? Guys, the chairs for therapy for people with mental issues can be small. Yes, I have seen the ending where Vanny died, and Vanessa was on the roof. The ending isn't Canon, guys. The one with BurnTrap is the "True Ending". Sure, there *has* been plot twists and it can surprise us but I'm not keen on the whole "Vanny and Vanessa are separate people". The tonal change between Vanessa and Vanny *is* different, since GlitchTrap could be speaking directly through her, the whole "sob" story that was described is just a ploy, that is not her true backstory. Also, Vanny *does* have a different voice actor, but she could be using a voice changer like Ghostface as a trick to throw people off, that is a thing, you know?
I agree that it’s glitchtrap emulating vanny. I don’t agree that just because the ending isn’t canon means it isn’t important. It’s a thing that could’ve happened in the universe, which means the facts are true. No clue what that implies though
when she's talking about her parents being abusive and mean but in the records it wasn't true it could be Afton manipulating her saying that Actually that was Aftons parents being like that to him not her.?
I think William told Vanessa to lie to the therapists. Lie about a dad called bill and make up a story surrounding this bill character. This lie would convince the therapist that all of Vanessa‘s strange behavior is because of her past, rather than the truth. William told her exactly what to say, and whether Vanessa knows it or not, this seemingly made up story is actually William’s history. Why would William choose his history for this lie? It’s not like Vanessa would know that this story she’s repeating is actually William’s past.
Also to clarify, I don’t think Bill is William. Or that William is indeed the father of Vanessa. I did an entire series of timeline videos regarding the lore, and Vanessa being his daughter fits nowhere in the timeline. Descendent? Maybe, but not daughter. Either bill is the name that William gave to this made up father figure, or Bill is indeed Vanessa‘s father just that William and Vanessa lied about his personality.
If the theory that Vanessa has DID is true, maybe one of her alters is possessed by afton but not the other. I think this is backed up by the princess quest games... where you "split" into alter egos to get puzzles done. Could represent her split personalities, and be a reason she's in therapy as DID is almost always a result of trauma of some sort
The split personality theory doesn't really sit right with me, because of the of the ending where freddy jumps down from the roof. Vanny is dead, but we can see Vanessa still on the roof. If they were split personas the would have both died
@@Archanox It was confirmed on one of the WIKI pages that it was metaphorical, yes, Vanny/Vanessa is dead, the Vanessa on the roof was there to represent how Vanessa’s spirit is now bound to the PizzaPlex forever :)
In CD6 and CD7 the therapist has/offers candy. One of Chica's lines in this game is "Who wants candy~" I think the all the therapists are dead, not just missing and that this one specifically possesses Chica.
This is all well and good, excellent lore, but it would be wonderful if there was at least a tiny warning for that ending jumpscare. I was listening to this while I was shaving and cut the absolute hell out of my leg 😂 probably on me for choosing to hold a sharp object while watching a FNAF-related video, but there's really no other indication here that there'd be a jumpscare, especially with how quiet and low the voices are.
It’s just what forms glitchtrap. 16 tapes In hw for forming him. 16 cds for glitchtrap (William) slowly taking over Vanessa. 16 candles In pq for meeting glitchtrap within the game. Idk why it’s 16 but maybe we’d find out
I just had a thought. Everyone is talking about one of the therapists acting like they're talking to a child, so if that one dissapears maybe they posses one of the animatronics that handles children, like Sun or (seems unlikely) Freddy.
I believe that the third therapist offering candy is the one who was killed. She kept offering candy and stated she made progress and learned a lot. I believe that therapist became candy cadet.
Ohmygod i made a joke on Discord that Vanny was actually Vanessa's secret evil twin because it was too obvious that Vanny was Vanessa i swear if that's actually case i'm gonna laugh so hard lol
So this is very confusing cause now we know there are two Vanessa’s or a Vanessa and Vanny due to the burning down ending that shows the guard on the roof
I honestly don’t think that there are 2 different people here. The burning building ending shows two different people. Vanessa inside of The rabbit suit, and then Vanessa ontop of the burning building. I think that the Vanessa inside the rabbit suit is the real Vanessa, while the one ontop of the burning building is her soul being trapped inside the pizza plex.
@@funtimegamer8733 well if glitchtrap is still possessing Vanessa at the end, then she won’t move on like all the other souls. She’s gonna stay there until someone else can free her from glitchtrap’s grasp
The Vanessa on top of the building looked disturbed and quite surprised. I think that this ending supports the theory that they are two separate people.
CD 3 reminds me of a critic of certain therapist techniques making people believe of foul play with people that they interacted with. It might not be true, but is interesting as a hypothesis.
"The way you told the story is more like how you were reading something from a book than you were talking about your own past" -(CD 6) This is one of the biggest clues as to what Vanessa's connection to Glitchtrap is. It wants Vanessa to pretend to be part of the Afton family. This, considering that "Bill" is actually short for William. If this actually is the case, then both Vanessa's files, and her memories, must of been manipulated by The Glitch to make it all seem true. (Now, that past fits surprisingly well for Elizabeth, and the missing "Mrs. Afton". Glitchtrap is basically an AI with William Afton's memories, afterall. Of course it'd know something like that). "Your father, Bill (...) It's normal for one father to manipulate the other parent (...) I know your mother [distortion] after she lost the custody case (...) Your dad is to blame, not you" "I was supposed to be a good girl" -(CD 4) "This person you're talking to seems to know a lot about you (...)" -(CD 5) The thing is, Glitchtrap doesn't really know about Vanessa, at all. By the time this session took place, no one was aware that the custody battle never happened, and the files were manipulated by The Glitch Note: The last Retro CD confirms Vanessa's past was a lie. Vanessa thinks The Glitch is gone, but it's actually hidden in her mind. Vanny and Vanessa share the same body, but not the same mind. One has the memories and personality of Afton, and the other is just Vanessa, suffering actual manipulation from The Glitch. It chooses when to take control over her, as seen in the next Retro CD. "I'm needed somewhere else now. Thank you. -cuts out-" Vanessa says this right after the therapist asked her what she was doing. The sudden change on her tone, the way it cuts off, and the fact that therapist isn't present in the next CD, suggests she killed her. Now, about CD 14, there's a chance that Vanny and Vanessa have such different personalities, nobody suspects they are the "same" person. (They are technically right though, as Vanny has the mind of The Glitch, while Vanessa's just being manipulated by it). They are literally two, very different people, on one singular body. (Very similar to Diavolo from JJBA: Vento Aureo)
Fun Fact: If the first therapist founds familiar, it’s because the voice actress happens to be the same person who plays Ballora in Sister Location!
And Vanessa is voiced by the same person who plays Baby...

As well, in CD 11 Vanessa says she avoids self dialogue where the therapist commended NT for their ability to do that in a earlier CD, showing they are two different people
MatPat needs to put this in his next theory 😂
@@ayvamason3448 also, NT seems to have been in the pizzaplex before, and some things suggest Gregory has been camping at the pizzaplex.

What the therapist is getting from these sessions is the fact that Vanessa is dealing with her trauma of her father by digging into the furry fandom and wearing fursuits.

not far off from real life
by the way keep in mind that her entire backstory was made up and placed in the files either by her or glitchtrap. This was done so that she could have an excuse for the whole weird behavior thing, and so people would not get suspicious of the fact that she's being possessed.
the costume is a secret xD
Note: Real therapists are NOT like this in real life. These are awful representation for how actual therapy works. Please don't let media therapists push you away from seeking therapy if you're having problems.
These therapists sounded nice...
Yeah some people have a theory she has a twin but it does kind of seem like there’s 2 separate people somehow
I was thinking the exact same thing

Well, to be fair, there are 2 Models of Vanessa in the game.

That's actually pretty cool.
That's a nice fact!

@@dondog3123
Nope, the more time goes on (or the more tapes we listen to) her tone gets colder, dead.

@Carlos I cant wait for Matt Pat to steal all of your ideas and make 50k off it lol

@@tm0410 but willam is glitch trap that his costume the one he wore when he kill fnaf 1 kids
I think Gregory is Afton's grandkid, and wants to body snatch him so he can start over again in a kid's body
see i think gregory has less to do with afton and more vanessa
I mean one of the therapists say that her dad was named BILL, which could be a nickname for someone named WILLIAM… and if we take the theory that the reason greggy is there is because he is related to vanny (possibly her child) which could make him William’s grandkid. The only prob with this is that didn’t William only have 2 sons and a daughter (sorry if I’m wrong I never played any of the games just love the lore aspect and haven’t even fully caught up in it), and all of them I think are dead. Idk this is prob wrong just a thought. Maybe she is a child of Afton not mentioned because.. she time traveled thru the ball pit 😳
EDIT: I didn’t watch thru whole vid yet so this may be wrong
Someone theorized that Vanny and Afton may be after homeless kids because there's not really someone to care after a missing homeless child
This whole thing wouldn't really take place if afton's daughter didn't get killed by baby and crying child getting killed by fredbear. Making William a murderer
i think gregory just ... happens to be there.

Life lesson: Never take "therapy" help from large operations with terrible health records, especially those that are funded by money-grabbing companies like fazbear entertainment.
not really lore related, i really liked the 3rd therapist, and how all the therapist were different in their way of speech and approaching issues, how professional or how friendly they are, how they confronted the issues.
i feel like the 3rd therapist was the best fit for vanessa, if she would have been there before meeting glitchtrap she could have made so much progress
but the 4th therapist know about him know vannesa lied to other therapist
Shame that Vanessa killed her
Same, I think of them all 3rd was the lest "policial interrogation" of the bunch and actually cared at least to an extent, the others just feel like a shit therapist mandated by a megacorp to gather info more than to actually help the worker

I have a strong feeling Vanessa’s the one who killed the therapists that went missing and were found dead. Especially when they sound really close to figuring out her communication with Glitchtrap and what she’s doing.

I mean the end very much confirmed this
@@Kai555100 Valid point.
I think glitchtrap got into her head and killed the therapists
most definitely did because in the one ending vanny uses the staff bots to disassemble freddy. and in one of the interviews the therapist says the other therapists body was messed up and looked like it was mangled up by a type of machinery (staff bots)
At the end, when it revealed that what vanessa told the therapist about her family wasn't true, and that she had a great life. I feel like that custody battle might of been from Glitchtrap/William's past. Since he and vanny merged in vr he can tell his story through her. All of those bad memories might have been from William/glitchtrap.
definitely!!!!!!
Exactly
I like this!
Maybe why the kids were with Afton and why the mother is out of the picture

Something I like is that it's implied that Glitchtrap isn't just using mind control to control Vanessa. He's using problems from her life against her, guilting her into compliance, like an abusive relationship.
OKAY! So here’s my theory for these:
There are 2 sets of interviews happening.

It sounds like two different people getting therapy sessions, switching between the two and finding more about them. The first being Vanessa and the second unknown, one theory I saw which seems the most agreeable it it being a young Afton.

After listening to all of these, my theory is that the same technology or magic used when the children possessed the animatronics is now being used on Vanessa and she's possessed by one of Afton's dead children.
-She is disturbed by the flowers, something that stood out in FNAF 4.. the vase of flowers by the bedside table
-She acts like a child half the time, wanting candy and to hold the Rorschach Test. Regular Vanessa won't eat the candy because of the calories. A child went straight for the candy.

I agree that the other Client is Younger. But it also clear that the Younger Client is Vanny. Right now people believe Vannessa and Vanny are two different people. And Vanny is probably younger than Vannessa
Here’s my theory:
In the conversations, there seems to be splits in personality, the childish side of Vanessa, which seems a little darker than the other side, and the more age-appropriate side.
1st conversation we hear the Brit, Vanessa is asking " i dont know you, where is the other one?"
2nd time we here the Brit therapist, she asks "you're not surprised seeing me sitting here are you?"
but .. what all of that means, no idea ha.
Vanessa suffered brainwashing by glitchtrap, a creation from the virtual afton that tries to escape in the "cannon" ending, so probably it created some damage to her mental state in general
there must be a conection between both green eyed, blond females so i think we should look more into this
Hot take, but I think the nonverbal “side” of Vanessa, who also claimed to have a bad childhood, is Elizabeth Afton. (Which, could lead to a conversation about the stigmatization of DID, but I don’t think most alters are digital consciousness copies.)
This is definitely a reach, but I can’t shake the feeling that vanny is somehow connected to one of the Afton children, and I think Elizabeth makes the most sense, at least in terms of physical appearance. Interested to see what the real theorists come up with. This could also help explain why there are two vanessas in one of the endings. In fact, maybe there are two separate people all along; not sure how this would align with the events of VR though.
"You're shaking your head as of that's not going to happen" should of played nice doc. Should of played nice.

This feels like two different people to me, not DID, almost like it’s a child in one and then vannessa in the next
ok so im seeing alot of confusion, im calling it now before Matpat does. The two people are Vanessa and Vanny. When we hear Vanessa talk, its the good personality. The quiet tapes are Vanny, the evil killer persona. From what I can tell the story is this:
After the VR game, Glitchtrap makes Vanessa think she is Bill's daughter (Bill being another name for William aka Afton) and had a bad childhood like Mike.
Like Lewis said to her in that game, the therapist says to the mute tape "its pinged some interesting searches you made."
"The therapist said that the chair didnt fit her and she ate candy as a mute" - Thats because Vanny, the killer persona, eats candy.
This probably explains the rooftop ending. Vanny dies and then we see vanessa staring from the rooftop
I think it's the same person just shows 2 different prsonalities.
In fnaf AR it is even more obvious. In her (from Luis which she mentions here too) messages we can find:
"It's like there's two sides of you, and I get that - I feel like that, too.
Why would you have an imaginary boyfriend who's threatening to kill you?"
Another time Luis also made this remark "One day you're researching flowers and the migration patterns of bees (fascinating, right?) and the next day you type in 'How far can a human being be cut in half before losing consciousness".
Vanessa/vanny is very interesting. She's filled with lore and I love that! She's becoming my favorite character. We need a DLC with the rest of the tapes and showing more of Vanessa.

you can take this as me overlooking or thinking too deep into the game, but Vanessa should have been a suspect of the murders when the three therapists died out of coincidence or went "missing" the last tape stood the most damning piece of evidence of them all as they should have a record of the patients that attended the therapists, overall I think they should have connected the murders to her unless she removed her trace but, if that were true they would have not had records of Vanessa, feel free to add your perspective to my overthinking
you can never overthink FNAF there's literally 16 "cannon" books :')
@@Rivər Again, company mandated therapy.
@@throwawaydetective9080 Oh, sorry.
Afton. And “Bill” is actually a nickname for William…
Edit: An interesting thing to also take note of, Vanessa and Vanny are voiced by two different people.
Or both.
I completely overlooked the whole baby passing as a real person thing. Pretty good observation
that's an interesting theory about Baby turning into a perfect copy of Vanessa. But the question in this case is "why would Baby/Elizabeth" do this?

I noticed right when therapist 2 said “your fathers name was bill”
Whenever they bring up her mysteries interactions there’s always a new therapist right after. As if something happened to them because they knew too much
I’m not buying the “they’re two different people” theory, there’s so much overwhelming evidence to basically confirm that they’re the same person. Vanny is Vanessa’s alter-ego/split personality whilst under Glitchtrap’s control, which is why she acts different in some of the tapes
I think it's a split personality brought upon by Glitchtraps
I mean one of the endings pretty much confirmed it where we See Vanny unmasked while vannessa stays on the roof

New Theory
In one of the tapes Vanessa said she "Compartmentalize him" makes me believe that she is the Tape Girl from Help Wanted and Vanny Is the Player Character.
@@KavinCatastrophe that does make sense and would work and would explain why Vanessa doesn't kill you when she catches you because she isnt vanny
@@KavinCatastrophe also speaking of Vanessa you know that scene in the trailer where Vanessa sees Gregory go down in the elevator is that in the game
Also one of the endings has Freddy push vanny off the roof of the establishment. Clearly the fall killed her, and Gregory unmasks vanny, but after the credits, Vanessa is seen on the roof, looking down seemingly sad. So
So wait she lied about the situation with her parents? I wonder if William/Glitchtrap told her to make up that story, Bill is a nickname for William.
I mean, I’m pretty sure that’s what happened.
Sooo.. watching the ending where Vanny gets torn apart by those Maintenance bots.. Could that be how that one therapist was killed?? Or Springtrap before she apparently “locked him up”??
Most likely, it also suggests that Vanny is the one who sent the maintenance bots to kill her therapists
@@thatsdree1350 yeah, like with the button. "Dissasemble -----." That is a possibility.
Since the movie came out, makes sense that Vanessa is traumatised by her father (yes I know the movie isn’t lore accurate)
Going into the very last tape:
Where the therapist speaks to Vanessa in a way that no other therapist does and seems to know and understand more of what’s going on. This “glitch” or “virus” could also have been uploaded successfully to the rest of the animatronics (except for S.T.A.F.F bots)
Back to that glitch, what if Afton is no longer powerful enough to distribute that glitch himself so has Vanessa do it for him?
This may all sound like just rubbish to some but there should be some sense made out of this.
bro wrote a whole essay
@@lowelindberg3234 took me a good 30 minutes
i 100% agree and have the same theory
I'm going to listen to the tapes and write down notes for me to come back to and respond to.
My theory is that Vanny's actually Circus Baby and Vanessa's Elizabeth Afton. You'll see how much sense it actually makes.
CD1 is obviously what people say is Vanessa. Which in my theory's actually Elizabeth.
The therapist mentions she's been talking to someone encrypted. However she denies that and say's she's been talking to Louis. Strange, nothing special yet.
CD2 is Circus Baby
Immediately it gets mentioned how she doesn't like Light. "When the shades are closed it feels like a cave?" doesn't seem strange for someone who's been trapped in an underground facility for so many years. Circus Baby also doesn't bother talking AT ALL. Also notice how she finds it funny how the therapist might get in trouble.
CD3
Back to Elizabeth.
CD4
Back to Circus Baby.
CD5
Back to Elizabeth.
CD6
Circus Baby takes a piece of candy, which is pretty important later on.
CD7
Back to Elizabeth.
CD8
Back to Circus Baby. Notice how she doesn't say no or yes to the therapist asking her about if she wrote down the things she's upset about. She doesn't even nod, which kind of implies that she doesn't actually know whether Elizabeth wrote it down or not.
CD9
Elizabeth again, she likes the flower smell. "I don't like dark basements" sounds about right for someone who was so desperate to escape a giant basement/facility deep underground (might i also say UNDER A HOUSE, which makes it an actual basement too).
CD10
Elizabeth or Circus Baby seems relaxed again, like she doesn't care about anything.
CD11
This is Elizabeth.
CD12
"I'm needed somewhere else now, t h a n k y o u" SOUNDS A LOT LIKE CIRCUS BABY. It's possible this is Circus Baby answering, it's unclear. Probably still Elizabeth.
CD13
Circus Baby isn't upset about her therapist going missing at all. It seems she knows more =). "Mangled by machinery" Obviously how the Funtimes used to kill. "Maybe i should be watching my back" and Circus Baby smiles. Pretty obvious what's going to happen.
CD14
Circus Baby being happy to hear "Technicians running around with their heads cut off", seems like a typical Circus Baby thing. Maybe even hinting towards Funtime Freddy's story in the books. "Made programs that talk back and repeat phrases" This is Elizabeth talking to Circus Baby. Repeating phrases and talk back, sounds like them chatting.
CD15
"You like the idea of being disguised- You can get away with anything when you're invisible" This is Circus Baby obviously, she's disguised as so many people and she keeps doing it, Charlie, the girl in the Fright book.
CD16
Circus Baby once again liking Eerie more than Entertaining.
@@RyosukeTakahashiRX7 Indeed.
Edit: i just realised. Circus BABY. Of course she'd pick the chair for small children. Lol

It seems like the therapist is talking to two different people or Vanessa has two personalities
I agree
She mentions something about "compartmentalizing" which seems to hint at a 2nd personality. The bunny suit being ordered from her computer is pretty incriminating too. I think she's just talking to the bunny head of the costume in tape 15 as well, which is why they say the image is distored.
Yup theres a ending with 2 Vanessa's and Roxanne Wolf has 2 personalities that could be a hint at that but that might be a stretch
There is two 'vanessas' Vanny died from falling off the roof, then Vannessa as a guard watch her from above
@@teddycat7218 that was a metaphor, there isn't actually two vanessas.
But isnt bill short for William? So William is the parent in this situation
Fun Fact: Billy, is a nickname for “William”.
Help anyone?
I think William told Vanessa to lie to the therapists. Lie about a dad called bill and make up a story surrounding this bill character. This lie would convince the therapist that all of Vanessa‘s strange behavior is because of her past, rather than the truth.
William told her exactly what to say, and whether Vanessa knows it or not, this seemingly made up story is actually William’s history. Why would William choose his history for this lie? It’s not like Vanessa would know that this story she’s repeating is actually William’s past.
@@sweetlifealley Actually.. this was a theory I concluded too.

Love how the old VHS Tape Series of Freddie and Friends are playing in the background
One of Chica's lines in this game is "Who wants candy~" I think the all the therapists are dead, not just missing and that this one specifically possesses Chica.
oh and she might be the one who got into the fatal "machinery accident" !?! sounds a bit like a trash compactor if u ask me
This is all well and good, excellent lore, but it would be wonderful if there was at least a tiny warning for that ending jumpscare. I was listening to this while I was shaving and cut the absolute hell out of my leg 😂 probably on me for choosing to hold a sharp object while watching a FNAF-related video, but there's really no other indication here that there'd be a jumpscare, especially with how quiet and low the voices are.
Now that we know that Gregory is patient 46.... Wow this takes a whole new perspective
Ok but now doesn’t it make so much more sense!!! Especially with that one tape about him being caught on the cams!
16 feels like an important number in FNAF. 16 tapes in help wanted. 16 CDs. 16 candles in princess quest 1
Her dad is named Bill. Bill is a nickname/corruption of the name William, just something I noticed.

The burning building ending shows two different people. Vanessa inside of The rabbit suit, and then Vanessa ontop of the burning building. I think that the Vanessa inside the rabbit suit is the real Vanessa, while the one ontop of the burning building is her soul being trapped inside the pizza plex.
Fire usually let's people pass on. Except William, he refuses to let go. But remnant is RELEASED kn high temperatures
@@bastard7821 idk it could be possible, and I wish the game had a more definitive answer for this but y’know 🤷
CD 3 hits different after the movie…
Alot of it dose fr.
CD 3 reminds me of a critic of certain therapist techniques making people believe of foul play with people that they interacted with. It might not be true, but is interesting as a hypothesis.
After seeing info About GGY (the story from tales From the pizzaplex #5) it hits different
Holy shit afton is killing her therapists
Afton didn't killed them. The Animatronics that he Sent After them did.😏
OH
"The way you told the story is more like how you were reading something from a book than you were talking about your own past"
-(CD 6)
This is one of the biggest clues as to what Vanessa's connection to Glitchtrap is.
"Your father, Bill (...) It's normal for one father to manipulate the other parent (...) I know your mother [distortion] after she lost the custody case (...) Your dad is to blame, not you"
"I was supposed to be a good girl"
-(CD 4)
"This person you're talking to seems to know a lot about you (...)"
-(CD 5)
The thing is, Glitchtrap doesn't really know about Vanessa, at all. By the time this session took place, no one was aware that the custody battle never happened, and the files were manipulated by The Glitch
Note: The last Retro CD confirms Vanessa's past was a lie.
Thank you. -cuts out-"
Vanessa says this right after the therapist asked her what she was doing.
