So there was an error in the audio. Scott slowed Michaels voice down, to make it more dramatic, but it made it sound robotic, and people were under the impression that Michael is inside Springtrap. Michael is not springtrap, William Afton, is springtrap.

But yes. Micheal didn’t deserve one bit of this. He did bully his younger brother (if you believe he is foxy bro) but that’s what kids do. They learn. But something tells me William killed them from madness or grief. Them as in the 11 children. All in the name of gaining immortality. Which worked well since he survived the spring lock failure. Because by Fnaf logic when a dead body possesses a spring lock suit they aren’t able to move it. However William was. Probably from remnant.

Now for michael I feel bad for him because he just seems to do the average "older brother teasing younger brother" thing which we have seen is pretty harmless. Now imagine accidentally killing your brother in an accident of these when it's entirely your fault. Not sure if you guys have felt that feeling of dread when you see or hear about a loved one dying, and that in of itself takes a few years to go through. I cannot imagine living with the fact I killed my own brother
Not only that but Michael lived for many many more years as an outcast suffering as a living zombie.
For those who don’t know the reason why he is alive, Remnant is a special metal capable of of containing souls but is given power through agony. The reason he managed to live is the scooper lines the inside of the body with remnant which when mixed with the realisation that his sister had become circus baby, the leftover guilt of killing his brother and the pain of the scooping itself was more then enough to let Michaels soul remain through the remnant, so when ennard ditched his rotting body he managed to regain control over himself.

I feel like people are not drawing enough attention to one line in particular:
"it's me."
We've seen this line countless times through the series and it's always been very cryptic and mysterious. But in this light, it becomes something entirely different. This cutscene shows that you, the night worker in the fnaf games, ARE Michael, retracing your father William's footsteps and undoing his wrongs, by tampering with the animatronics, location by location. Why do you get fired at the end of fnaf 1 and fnaf 2? Because you were tampering with the animatronics, trying to free the souls inside. You smell, because a) you're a rotting corpse after being scooped, or b) you've been messing with the animatronics. You're living in shadows: you can't work in the day because of your appearance and you can't work in the night because the souls think you are William. So there is only one thing left to do: find William and put and end to it all. Why do you have hallucinations of golden freddy? Simple. You're having flashbacks to the most traumatic event of your life: the moment when you accidentally killed your brother by shoving him into the mouth of golden freddy as a joke. But, then, wouldn't that have to mean that Ultimate Custom Night is Michael's purgatory and not William's? And to that I say it is absolutely Williams, although it could definitely make sense for it to be Michael's. Why do I say this? Because Ultimate Custom Night features the ONLY death by golden freddy in which he has a PHYSICAL FORM. We may see golden freddy sitting there in the fnaf games, but when he jumpscares us, it's simply a disembodied head. A hallucination, a trick of the mind. But in UCN, golden freddy moves. We can see every part of his body moving in unison as he kills the player, 100% physical, 100% real. The golden freddy in UCN is not a flashback or a hallucination by Michael. It's the soul inside golden freddy, the child that was later stuffed into the suit, that torments the player in Ultimate Custom Night. Meaning that in UCN it makes 100% sense that we play as William.
The bottom line is: it's you. You are Michael and you are haunted by these pizzerias, not only because of the horrors your father caused there, but also because of the constant reminders of the worst tragedy of your life, manifested in hallucinations of golden freddy. You can't help it that the poor children think that you are their killer. The best thing you can do is try to tamper with the animatronics to free the children's souls. But that doesn't work either. Finally, William Afton tries to dismantle the animatronics himself, but, in doing so, he unleases the angry souls. They trap him in the suit he used to commit so many murders, and, years later, William's soul in the suit escapes. You burn the building down and end it all.
I'd like to add that I'm intentionally leaving out the events of Pizzeria Simulator because I think the end of FNAF 3 is the perfect ending, when the souls get released and William is finally killed.

Referencing Micheal Afton saying “I should be dead, but I’m not.” I believe this takes place after the cutscene of Micheal turning purple, vomiting ennard out and getting back up again. Hence how it seems like it’s Micheal speaking to his father, (Springtrap) as himself and not ennard.
Edit: Plus, he says that he’s “Been living in the shadows” meaning he’s hiding himself from society because he’s a rotted human still walking around.

Micheal accidentally killed his brother, was never told how his sister died, was neglected by his own parents, and was scooped and should’ve been dead. He was also the guard in the original fnaf. He’s truly the main character and he deserves happiness.

I keep forgetting how amazing this cutscene is. Scott nailed everything from the haunting dialogue to the peaceful yet equally chilling piano playing. Soooo well done, can't wait for security breach😍

I don't know if it was intentional or just an afterthought, but I find it really cool that this relates back to FNaF 1. It's pretty generally accepted that the person you play in FNaF one is michael afton, who just goes with a different last name. after the end of the last bonus night, you get a "your fired note", and one of the reasons they fired him was "odor". Is not like is rare to be fired for bad personal higene in a normal job, but he was working as a night guard. he literally didn't interact with anyone in his entire shift, to the point where all his instructions were left as prerecorded messages
if they fire you for that reason in that type of job, you must reek so badly that your stench still lingers after you are gone. And you know what's something that smells really badly? a dead body. The guy stank like a rotting corpse cause he was a rotting corpse. I think it's quite neat that such a small detail in the first game that just seemed like a funny detail turned out to actually have an explanation 5 games later
The talent that Scott had to pull together every detail is miraculous. It's what Kojima did for the Metal Gear except his story was paired up with an unforgettable experience that is the gameplay so you don't really get what's happening until you start listening to the story. Death stranding focused too much on story and not enough on gameplay which made it a controversial game. Maybe the difference is where they started out, Scott making an indie game while Kojima makes a console game. I know I have a major tom profile picture but I swear I'm not a MGS fan boy, Kojima just came to mind because he had a complicated storyline that later poorly explained details because Konami had no idea where Kojima was going for his story (mgs survive.)

@@hnfr9641 It could be the premise for Pizzeria Simulator as in Springtrap heading out to the final pizzeria yet again coming back after the Fazbear Fright fire. Michael’s internal monologue is paired with the cutscene of William awakening for dramatic effect perhaps.

There is so much wasted potential in that game that I could talk about it for hours.
Just to mention a few things:
-If we were actually playing as Henry, and not as Michael (which also isn't confirmed, he could be just some guy) the game would have been better. (you know, putting a stop ourselves to what we had created, instead of just being a victim.)
-Circus Baby was treated like crap.
Instead of being the best FNAF villain, she was relegated to just "one of them".
Yes, I know she talks to the main character, but she doesn't say anything interesting.
-Molten Freddy is just confusing.
Like, how did they kick Circus Baby out of Ennard and where did they get the Freddy face, exactly? He looks way less threatening, as well. Say what you want about The Blob in SB, but it nailed the look of melted metal parts cooling down and uniting in a single thing.
-Springtrap (or Scraptrap) was treated, quite honestly, like shit.
He was actually scary in 3, but here he's just a chipmunk with a big forehead! (Frye memes before Frye memes)
He doesn't pose a personal threat, since he's just one of the others, not the main villain! SB made him appear for 5 minutes, leaving a lot of things unexplained, and yet he felt more threatening there.
-Lefty looks cool, but buying him DESTROYS your business and makes the game unfair.
-It's not scary. Period. The tension building up to the jumpscare is fine, having to keep silence, putting on more heat but not too much, checking the vents, but then the jumpscare arrives and the "scary animatronics" look like plastic.
-The pizzeria customisation aspect is cool, but it should have been relegated to its own spinoff.
-The ending is so unsatisfying.
Like, it's cool to see Henry, and finally end this all, but it's done in such a dumb way it's comical.
If Springtrap survived the FF fire, why did he die at this one? Why did the others die, if this was the first fire? Wasn't Puppet already free after FNAF3? Why didn't we run away, in case we were some random guy?
SB's true ending did leave many things unexplained, but atleast we have the DLC and enough hints that we can atleast ATTEMPT to answer those questions.
Bottom line, if you wanted to make a pizzeria creator game but with FNAF, go for it, but don't try to make it the end of the franchise.

He said that because the purple guy we saw in the other minigames wasn't Micheal Afton that meant that the person we see in the fnaf three minigames was not Micheal Afton
It's not confirmed that William or Micheal is spring trap. From what I have, William was in jail so he wanted mike to find Eli for him and than Eli scooped all the animatronics in FNAF sl to become ennard and take control of Micheal. She got to fred bear's and told the dead kids to chase her and she hid in spring Bonnie. Moisture unwound the spring locks and the metal bars broke ennard so micheal could have control. It's not confirmed so I don't know.

Because if we consider the theory where Micheal Afton is the older sibling it really shows regret from his past wrongdoings, not just because he was used as a suit by Ennard.
Shoving his younger brother in Fredbear's jaw only to presence his death right before his eyes. And after hours or days at most realizing he didn't survive that. And even if he did, even if little bro forgave him, Micheal wouldn't forgive himself for what he did…

Too bad it was confirmed to be a glitch. EDIT turns out it's not a glitch, but it was a unintended side effect from Scott slowing his line down for a dramatic effect. So, that means it was a accidental sound effect, because Scott slowed it down too much.

Looking back, this just feels like an entirely different universe than what we got.
The lighting, Michael’s voice, that piano… it harkens to a feeling that FFPS just could not capture to me, even in that ending monologue.
There is no glorification of freeing the spirits or putting them back together, it’s just a fact Michael states. There is no comforting words at the prospect of rest after that last check in his list of duties is set to be crossed off, only a broken man with one last thing to do before he dies. A being who’s lived so long in darkness that he doesn’t even care to call out the actions of his father, who set in motion all of this.
And why would he?
After being betrayed and neglected for so many years, festering amid humanity, why would Michael pass judgement?
Henry isolated himself in his own obsessions, calling William’s creations monsters while he forged one himself.
Afton meanwhile lost himself in his work and need to be seen as better than others, refusing to pay attention to his family while creating a fucked up version of them from his victims.
And as a result his children hated him and eachother, with Michael lashing out at his younger brother who he believed got special treatment while Elizabeth would eventually kill him in turn under the belief he was the father who never saw her as enough.
He has no excuses, and he has first hand experience of what hating his father would lead to.
Which is why that final ending to his arc in 6 just stings me.
It’s just him being used, abandoned and eventually betrayed by yet another person posing as innocent.
All this man needed was a reassuring hug, and he died alone burning in a metal box where nobody would even hear his screams.
I am sure in his final moments he was relieved

This is Scott confirming William is Springtrap and symbolically Purple, he confirms Michael is physically Purple, and he confirms that the Bite Of 83 takes place in the FNaF 4 end-of-night minigames, while the Bite Of 87 takes place in FNaF 2.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that this is just honest wholesome, in some way shape or form, and that this is really just amazing that Scott was able to make the entire FNaF lore so enticing and so well put together that once you start figuring it all out, something just clicks and you just get pulled into it. Can we talk about how cool of a protagonist Micheal actually is? A once cruel bully to his older brother filled with regret and grief over his actions completely devoting himself beyond even death to redeem himself and undo his fathers sins.
He's also a pretty unique protagonist. And the fact that there's still tons of mystery involved with him (he's one of the most important characters in the series and he's also one of the most mysterious)keeps him interesting.
