Excellent review. I have enjoyed using this tomahawk greatly. One suggestion for the handle, is to use several small rubber bands (or ranger bands) and wrap it with them. This not only provides extra grip, but also cuts down on the wear on your hands without gloves.

I've been eyeing this little puppy though and it's just about within my price range at the moment, so it will be my next tomahawk, that is for sure. The RMJ Eagle Talon is going to take some building up to, because I could buy a hell of a nice snare drum or Paiste cymbal for that kind of money - especially over here in England. Still, lots of nice woods out here in Oxfordshire, so I can take it out with me on my mountain bike, smoke a fat one and fuck some shit up. By the time I get this, I will probably have broken the Cold Steel, but time will tell.

I swear it took days before my finger felt right again. I had to build up/pad the bottom with ranger bands and hockey tape. Did you experience any of that?

If you want this one for throwing, don't do it. The little lip on the bottom hits your hand and screws up your throw. You can throw it (I do) but its not what its made for. But for utilities, this is the way to go.
