  • In this video we unbox and overview the brand new Godox AD600Pro Witstro Portable Studio Flash. #godox #godoxad600pro #hypop
    The Godox AD600Pro / AD600 Pro is a 600W portable monoblock studio flash strobe compatible with the Godox X triggering system. It supports the X1 and XPro 2.4GHz radio triggers by Godox, that support TTL in Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus / Panasonic and Sony variants.
    The main differences between the original Godox AD600 and the new AD600Pro are:
    - Brand new colour stable shooting mode which allows you to shoot with +/- 75k colour accuracy and consistency
    - Faster recycle time of 0.01 - 0.9s compared to 0.01 - 2.5s on the original AD600
    - Stronger modelling lamp of 38W compared to 10W in the previous model
    - Overall physical design changes and improvements
    Most of the other main features remain the same such as TTL, M and Multi modes, GN. 87, 600W of output in 9 steps from 1/256 - 1/1, HSS up to 1/8000s and S1, S2 slave functions.
    The main features include a recycle time of 0.3-1.5s and a flash duration of 1/2000-1/800s.
    It also features a Bowens mount and is suitable with all Bowens mount lighting modifiers including softboxes, snoots, barn doors, beauty dishes, reflector dishes, umbrellas and more.

    I had the bm and now pro version. To me it was worth it for the ttl. In the right situations its a lifesaver along with tcm. I bought the flashpoint brand with nice extras.

    I bought a new ad600 pro, I noticed the bulb of the flash tube looks burned. Is that normal?

    • @hypop
      @hypop  5 місяців тому

      Hi there, yes that's normal. The bulbs are tested before they leave Godox's factory and there are some heat marks. As long as it's not physically broken or not functioning properly it's okay.

    Does anyone have a good method of taking down the spare battery module charge to 40-50% when not in use?
    I’ve 4 battery packs and 4 extra modules. Usually charge them all before a job, but rarely need the spares on an average shoot. Hate to keep them fully charged- but don’t want to do hundreds of flashes just to drain down the batteries.

    The biggest difference not mentioned is the fact that the pro has approximately 1.3 stops less power which is a huge amount. A big sacrifice for faster recycling time. Other features are nice.

      Its because of the different reflectors they come with, use the older reflector and its equally powerful

    Doesn't come with a case? I thought it came with one...

    • @hypop
      @hypop  6 років тому

      Unfortunately not in the standard package however Godox do make a case called the CB-09 which suits both the AD600 and AD600Pro.

      ATG has it with two choices:
      Strobe only
      Strobe with transmitter

    hi there, which umbrella do you recommend me for the Godox AD600 PRO ? is there any budget one that you have used at all?
    Thanks

      Hi El verdadero, you can use any studio umbrella, but we recommend a diffuser umbrella like this one; www.hypop.com.au/products/godox-white-translucent-umbrella-diffuser-40-102cm

    What is the benefit of buying their trigger? Will it work like Pocketwizard Flex TT5 or TTL Super 5? Thank you!

    • @hypop
      @hypop  6 років тому

      The benefit of using the Godox trigger is being able to access all the features of the flash including HSS, TTL and other native features with Godox. Pocketwizards or non-Godox branded triggers will work via the 3.5mm jack on the flash.

    There is the Godox AD-H600B external head for the AD600B. Does this external head fit on the new AD600 Pro too?

    • @hypop
      @hypop  6 років тому

      Hey there - unfortunately it does not! But Godox have said they'll be releasing a special head just for the AD600Pro, they just haven't told us a release date for it yet

    Great overview, thanks a lot. Can you use the new Pro bulb in the original AD600?

    • @hypop
      @hypop  6 років тому +1

      Unfortunately the new Pro bulb has a different mount to the original AD600 bulb so it's not compatible. :(

    • @mike_MKvipPhoto

      Hypop | Photography Lighting & Equipment: Thanks for the fast answer. The new bulb is really the only thing which could make me consider upgrading...

    This new reflector almost looks like a snoot. Does it limit the angle of light compared to the old 7" reflector?

    • @hypop
      @hypop  6 років тому +3

      The angle of light is roughly the same, not enough to notice a difference while shooting!
