Always avoid Budwiesser and Becks lager..Always high.Ask for draught..a little cheaper than 500ml bottles.Walk away from centre on top road at Collossus bar, head out,George's and Mike's bar..prices drop substationally as you leave tourist trap area.
Thanks Kevin enjoyed ur greek blogs. Brought back happy times and memories. The greek people are so kind and still friends with some after 35 yesrs after being rep in falirak
I have been going to Faliraki every year for 10 years now and I am 32. Prices have increased however, Greece suffered massively from Covid. The people in Faliraki are lovely and the same people return every year to help them out. I don't mind paying a little bit more.
Was in Falaraki 30 years ago, had a good time to be fair, but our apartments had cats all over that would cry and scratch at the doors when the sun came up, HORRENDOUS. 😳
Currently in North Cyprus mate. It’s not as cheap as it was but cheaper than Greece, was in corfu and Paxos last year, was paying over €5! It’s between £2-3 here for Efes pils or Tuborg gold
@@ScotsmaninTenerife it’s pretty low key, do it as part of a bigger trip methinks, some good Roman stuff etc but no Greece or Spain for nightlife. I’m bored shitless
Last August the wife and I had the immense privilege of expending a couple of weeks in Faliraki. We have very good local friends in there whom invited us to their house, otherwise it would have been impossible for us to go there since hat hotels are beyond our budget and there's not such a convenience as "all inclusive". Nevertheless, we found that despite that our Canadian dollar only covers 3/4 of an Euro, the prices, in general are much lower than back home. We been in a couple of restaurants where the four of us had dinner(with beer and wine) for about 40 Euros, which is about CAN$60. For that amount you can not buy two large pizzas in Toronto, not drinks included. The prize of beer in Greece is insane even in bars, half the price if we buy them in a store. Grocery shopping, apartment rent, second hand cars, clothing and virtually anything else, is so affordable that we are making serious plans to move there in a year or two. We realized that we been living in the wrong country for too long, let alone the climate that doesn't help at all. Hoping to see you there at some point in the future amigo. Greetings from Toronto.
We stayed just outside Faliraki, went in to do a bit gift shopping, I can’t believe how expensive the place was for clothes and trainees, cheaper in the uk.
I only went for the day Kev, I much preferred Lindos & Rhodes old town, what I bought there food and drink wise was deffo more expensive , nice beach though there
Best to drink the Greek beers for value for money preferably draught as quite a few of them are on the gassy side particularly Mythos. Best Greek beer that I've tasted that's started to be distributed more widely is Mamos - had it in Kefalonia, Naxos and Mykonos. A bit like a cross between a lager and blonde bitter - really nice flavour and not too gassy.
Very informative thanks great video & well edited 👍 ... saft question we are going esperos palace resort faliraki hotel in july & cant wait... my mrs lad is 16 - coming 17.. he vapes & now smokes weed - would the shisha pipes be any use to him?

I've had Alfa beer in Greece apparently its one of the oldest beer brand in Greece but i rekon the most well known beer is still Mythos
Incorrect,it’s Amstel
Everything so expensive now it’s time to holiday in the uk and Rip ourselves off 😂 x
Love it Kev steady prices there like 👍
The pints weren’t pints mate, they were 400ml so makes it a lot more expensive. Greece takes the piss now so they can poke it
When you going home Kev?, I fly tonight at 9-50pm 🥺
