- if you are looking for a hotel to stay in Rhodes Greece, we stayed in the Hotel Sunshine so let's take a look round the resort to see what it has to offer. We were on an all inclusive package. Your hair looks nice Sharon. I guess their standards maybe not as high as ours. What star rating is that one. That should have a bearing. Maybe he wasn’t landing at your airport. The complex does look nice. Let’s face it where you spend most of your time really , so not bad. You look as if your happy and that’s all that matters. Whenever we go,abroad rooms sometimes etc are a bit unknown. But the main thing like Sharon says it’s clean that’s all you can ask.

Reminds me of when i was a kid I used to go away abroad in the 60s I had the best time of life without all the modern so called amenities. This is my idea of a good holiday brings back memories of Majorca with my nan and grandad and parents good memories.

We used to carry a portable water heater (element) boils water in your cups. Modern day you have folding collapsible kettle. My wonderful husband can't start the day without a cuppa lol

Discovering some of the furniture hinges are not fully connected is all part of the package holiday experience .
Have a fab time both. Typical greek hotels a 4* is equivalent to a 3* Nice pools & beach hope food is good.

Loved this...im not long back from Rhodes and stayed at Olympic Palace. Got the bus into Rhodes town and round the old town is a must. Enjoy your holiday its well deserved ❤

Be careful with those quads and buggies, the main east code road down to Lindos etc is very fast and busy.might seem like a fun idea but you have no protection, much better to hire a car. Take care and enjoy yourselves

I'm glad, I've been visiting Lindos for over 30 years...I've heard many a story about people coming a cropper on those Rhodes roads..my late dad a motorcyclist up until he died In his 80s remembered a holiday he had in Rhodes, how he got sunburnt and somebody else in his hotel coming off their bike without proper protection. A bit of loose gravel or sand is like ice on 2 wheels. The taxi drivers drive with one hand on the phone the other on the vape and a third on coffee cup at 90km ph

Lots of hotels in certain southern european countries have taken the bath tub plugs away, due to water management concerns. ( lack of water) prefering the guests to have quick showers, some even only have hand held shower heads to avoid long stands under the showers. in some cheaper places hot water has a seven or eight minute timer that takes another 10 minutes or so to come into action again for another person to shower. Maybe it would take some getting used to, but for people who have still never had drinkable tap water and habitually have the need to load up with fresh water every week for cooking and such like, these things are fine with us. There were even places that prioritized water for tourist use and unlimited showers etc while our village only had access to tap water 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours late evening 3 days o four days a week during the height of summer It is good that laws for responsible use of water have been passed. It is lovely to see how understanding you both are and make the most of the positive things. Greece was one of the most hard hit countries of the long lasting financial crisis together with Portugal and Spain with extreme austerity measures that we have still not got over. Then covid arrived and Greece was one of the first to fully open up to tourism again. All of us ordinary people like yourselves know how it will take still more time to get back to our own high standards, Have a fantastic holiday you are a joy to watch.😊😊

They may just do the maintenance checks before the start of the season. We stayed in Rhodes at the end of a season and our bed was broken… it didn’t get repaired while we were there.
Hi Martin and Sharon, your hotel looks lovely and a nice clean room. When we used to go to Turkey you never got a bath or sink plug, i used to take my own. I love it when you speed Sharon up, i wish i had a button to speed me up. Last time me and my husband went to Ichmeler,Turkey i bought some of those bowls for my kitchen, i got 1 large and two small, i keep my fruit in them.

We cant get enough of you two, its magic, Rhodes looks lovely and so does Sharon's haircut, it really suits her, could the beach be any closer lol. Sun tan Lotion, so Important, I know people love that tanned look, but for some it comes at a high cost, so be careful people.
