Yes you will have to loosen the main serpentine belt. There are 2 belts on these vans. The main one is the only one you need to worry about. The other expressly for the AC only. I take pictures of everything as I dissasemble so I have a reference when I replace them.

You all know there’s a special tool to hold the water pump pulley right? There’s also a 36mm wrench specifically for the fan clutch (low profile).
