I really hope Cliffside gets picked up as a full series. For a 12 minute pilot, it had a lot of charm and was very entertaining to watch. The worldbuilding in it stood out as well. That said, I get why it would be difficult to animate in your spare time. I've enjoyed Internecion Cube so far, and I'll definitely stay subscribed to watch more episodes of that. Behind-the-scenes videos about animating and pitching shows would be neat, too.
Does he have other people working with him? He should hire others. I want to make my own story and animate it then upload it to UA-camr so bad, but I don't have any devices to make them or any expensive, good working things. I'm poor

But then just release these stories as episode concept ideas and let the fans have fun with it and grow the awesome supportive base.

The pilot was an absolute masterpiece and one that I'll rewatch time and time again. If there's anything the community can do to help greenlight Cliffside as an actual series, just ask. The saddest part of my 2020: knowing that Cliffside could be going up agains Hazbin Hotel somewhere for becoming a series even though both are super worthy. At least the sadness of losing cliffside semi long term is compensated for by knowing that Internecion cube will run for the foreseeable future, That shit is more interesting than half of what’s in Netflix
If I had any sway in a company like Netflix, I'd be pitching them to take on awesome animated series like these, give the creators a budget, and let them do what they do best.
As far as I know, they do actually plan to produce hazbin themselves, but after the pilot they are focusing on Helluva Boss because its far easier to write and animate episodic stuff like that while they gain support. Most of the hunicast streams are more or less them marketing themselves to various big names in the animation/VA industries, which is good to see! Plus the hazbin comic stuff theyre making on the side to make sure the fans at least have some hazbin content to consume, all signs point to them planning on production later on, which is awesome
In all honesty no they aren't in competition, just because they are independent doesn't mean they compete. Cliffside and HH are for different demographics and thus would probabbly go into different networks and have different audiences to compete for.
Man, Cliffside is one of the best UA-cam original series I have seen in a long time, how studios are not picking it up is beyond me, I will do anything to see the series grow.

Me when I saw Liam Vickers upload: *Happiness* Me after watching: *F to pay respects* As a starter animator, I get it, it's a really challenging task to keep this as a solo animator/writer/director. It's really time-consuming and stressful. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but working on a series alone is almost impossible to do especially when you gain a fanbase pretty quickly.
Wanna work together sometime? XD But yeah, animation is a pain in the butt TO REALLY do the job done, the scripting, the timing and the visuals functioning correctly. I mean, we gotta get the visuals to at least look good enough for the final product. After all, it's the first time to do the pilot.
Btw if you look into my channel I animate on a group channel not this one... I hope I can get to at least half as good as cliff side at some point in my life

I feel like comics aren’t the same (I draw comics and I’ve tried storyboards) they are two different mediums as boards are typically paired with sound and movements. Comics don’t have sound and rely on sound effects, dialogue bubbles, etc. I think it’s a different skill set personally

Overall this is a perfect and fine resolve for me, between Cliffside and The Cube, the latter seems easier to produce and _slightly_ better. Cliffside was great with its own combination of comedic realism that can only be found on the internet, and with its more formal television like approach to story and animation, however, I never believed it was manageable. The Cube on the other hand, seems more manageable, and although it is similar to Cliffside, it seems to have its own form of " comedic realism ", being much more refined and dialed back, which seems to allow for a much more serious atmosphere and general approach to showing its plot.

Some bad news related to this: UA-cam is planning to shut down the community subtitle feature in September. Because it is "underused". I'd argue it's underused because they bury it in the UI and don't notify creators when new subtitles are created. But yeah, this sucks.
It's also likely "underused" on what UA-cam considers its main market of videos, which tends to be the sort of content that wouldn't use it as often to begin with. Doubly so since a lot of content viewing recommendations is based on region, so most people who view videos on UA-cam are likely only even being recommended stuff in their native language. UA-cam has a habit of discarding features or making changes based on what they view as important to their "larger audience", even if it means causing problems for a lot of users since when you have billions of views going into certain types of content, a few million views going into stuff that actually uses it becomes an insignificant statistic to them even if that actively hurts the audience and content creators.....
The animations are all wonderful even if you say they aren't really animations. It doesn't need to be perfect but cube is wonderful and hilarious! Keep up the fantastic work!

Ive only recently come across your entire channel with these unique series (about a month ago) and let me tell you I'm incredibly impressed. Ive watched each one of them from internecion cube to cliffside multiple times, it somehow never gets old. Most of the hunicast streams are more or less them marketing themselves to various big names in the animation/VA industries, which is good to see! Plus the hazbin comic stuff theyre making on the side to make sure the fans at least have some hazbin content to consume, all signs point to them planning on production later on, which is awesome
In all honesty no they aren't in competition, just because they are independent doesn't mean they compete.
Cliffside and HH are for different demographics and thus would probabbly go into different networks and have different audiences to compete for.

As a starter animator, I get it, it's a really challenging task to keep this as a solo animator/writer/director. It's really time-consuming and stressful. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but working on a series alone is almost impossible to do especially when you gain a fanbase pretty quickly.

But yeah, animation is a pain in the butt TO REALLY do the job done, the scripting, the timing and the visuals functioning correctly. I mean, we gotta get the visuals to at least look good enough for the final product. After all, it's the first time to do the pilot.

I feel like comics aren’t the same (I draw comics and I’ve tried storyboards) they are two different mediums as boards are typically paired with sound and movements. Comics don’t have sound and rely on sound effects, dialogue bubbles, etc. I think it’s a different skill set personally

@@dontburstmybubble686 Another option would be for Liam to write the plot and script or at least one of them, he has a huge fanbase, maybe he could give them to a fan who has the will skills and time to turn it into a webcomic, maybe for money maybe for free, and whatever money they make could be divided, i wish i could get this idea to Liam even if there wasn't a chance.
Overall this is a perfect and fine resolve for me, between Cliffside and The Cube, the latter seems easier to produce and _slightly_ better. Cliffside was great with its own combination of comedic realism that can only be found on the internet, and with its more formal television like approach to story and animation, however, I never believed it was manageable. The Cube on the other hand, seems more manageable, and although it is similar to Cliffside, it seems to have its own form of " comedic realism ", being much more refined and dialed back, which seems to allow for a much more serious atmosphere and general approach to showing its plot.

Some bad news related to this: UA-cam is planning to shut down the community subtitle feature in September. Because it is "underused". I'd argue it's underused because they bury it in the UI and don't notify creators when new subtitles are created. But yeah, this sucks.
It's also likely "underused" on what UA-cam considers its main market of videos, which tends to be the sort of content that wouldn't use it as often to begin with. Doubly so since a lot of content viewing recommendations is based on region, so most people who view videos on UA-cam are likely only even being recommended stuff in their native language. UA-cam has a habit of discarding features or making changes based on what they view as important to their "larger audience", even if it means causing problems for a lot of users since when you have billions of views going into certain types of content, a few million views going into stuff that actually uses it becomes an insignificant statistic to them even if that actively hurts the audience and content creators.....

While Cliffside was probably more fun for people in general, I'm honestly way more hyped about ICube. Animatic or not, I love the absolutely insane protag (or supporting protag, depending on your perspective) that turns into a cube, and I've always been a scifi guy at heart.
Sad to see no more Cliffside (maybe ever), but I am _so_ ready for more ICube!

Ive watched each one of them from internecion cube to cliffside multiple times, it somehow never gets old. Hoping these eventually have continuations to them, they're much different from anything else I've come across, in a good way of course.
