Believe me! Professor is a great teacher. I started training with him beginning around 85 86. And that's when the training was a bit more crazy and intense. What he is showing you here is practical for anyone. No matter how bad or skilled you think you are. His passion is real. Not everyone who is a good practitioner can teach. He just happens to be excellent at both for decades well before internet existed. Don't just watch a video or two and make negative comments. Anyone can be an internet keyboard warrior. Don't take my word. Stand in front of him and find out for yourself!
The simplicity of pinky-to-forearm belies its effectiveness. The really wonderful thing is that successful execution of this technique does not require years of training, but only a mind committed to understanding and practice of the technique.
Self Preservation is imperative. Yelling? C-mon gimme a break!! The Professor IS passionate about what he preaches. LOOK at the windows!! It's dark outside. This means that after a long day at the dojo, (while others' are home relaxing) the Professor and Shihan Ken are STILL THERE making videos which could save your life. Much love & respect to these two. Ous!!

Also, from watching this video of the Australia knife attacks, look at what happened at 0:30 (ua-cam.com/video/nJDuCEcBRzg/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared). The attacker was stalled by a guy ready to hurl a heavy object at him on the escalator. If you're in a store, there are plenty of objects you can throw to do damage, especially if the attack isn't facing you and you multiple people to pick up objects and hurl them. Throwing with power is a good skill to have. Consider getting a heavy ball to throw for practice.

WHY would anyone risk their life to protect $300 of their bosses' money? That's insane. It's probably insured and at the very least, the boss would rather lose that small amount of money than lose $30,000 paying for the hospital to save you from dying from stab wound/slashes (if they CAN, that is) or $20,000 for the ambulance-run and your funeral.
Do these people actually have the ability to open the store safe? I was under rhe impression that the clerks only had the ability to put money into the safe but not open the store safe
Clerks can't open the safe, something you'd know if you just didn't type out the first response that popped into your head.

This reminds me of another incident I had. I went to a neighbor's house to attempt to have an adult conversation, about this guys kids trashing our yard.
The guy was a crackhead who came to the door with a hunting knife, and the guy was literally trying to stab me in the face.
Since it was my neighbor, I did everything I could not to hurt the guy. But in the end, he actually had the nerve to call the cops on me .
I was told point blank by the cop. "You need to use proportional force. But if it comes to a choice between potentially going to prison or being dead. Take your chances with the courts. Because a prison cell is better than a grave."
That's the real deal, and I only share my stories here. Because I know these guys think like I do.

Okay, it was that this guy was about a hundred pounds over weight, and I was probably in the best shape of my life. That and I am a JKD fan. lol
Now I say fan. Because I believe that JKD is mostly a concept. Rather than a fully fledged martial art. At least the current modern version, anyway.

Professor David is right ✅️! When push comes to shove, and if my life is in danger, whether it be a man, woman, or child who poses a threat, I will defend my life. I won't be that nice soft person because I want to go home to see my family! Self-preservation is the universal first law of Mother Nature. I will protect myself at all cost.
Professor Dave, do you think the Worker knew this was a Female, and decided not to aggressively counter Her? Or He just didn’t know what to do? because once she put the Knife down, I’m going from 0-100! She had no ideal how to handle Her weapon.
