I'm just researching to make something like this. I know that there are no animals in it, so maybe it's a silly question, but do you need to do water changes or need a filter? How will the plants stay healthy?
I am trying a Diana Walstad method here which is a self sustaining ecosystem approach. I will only be topping up water as an when it depletes due to evaporation. Maybe occasional maintenance. Lets see how it goes
@@TheUrbanNemophilist do you expect them to root and take over? I have this strange fear of using horsetail because everybody thinks it grows out of control. I know I can cut and prune and take things out of my dish garden, but somehow taking out live plants and throwing them away makes me sad.
You need to keep them under aquascaping or led lights set on a timer for a consistent photoperiod everyday. I will be dosing the bowl with liquid macro and micronutrient ferts and also use some liquid co2.
You can buy aqua plants from aquarium stores. Some of them will work in terrarium setup. You could watch my terrariums with aquatic plants videos to get an idea.

Yes water changes are necessary. You will also need to use liquid plant fertilisers regularly.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist Thank you very much!!
What about changing water. How long this water will be clean

Hello, enjoying your videos but am wondering how you keep the water from getting stagnant outside of distilled water
Thanks. I use RO water and conduct regular water changes.
👌
Thanks
Why have you done everything I want to do...but just excellently?????
A work of art! Does the horsetail have any roots or just cuttings?
Thank you. Those were cuttings

One more thing where to get such type of stand wase
I bought it from a garden store near me. You should be able to find on Amazon too.
Hello, just wanna ask what kindnof adhesive were you using to attatch the plant to the rocks? Won't they die or get sick of the chemicals from it?
No, it is plant and fish safe aquascaping glue
How do plants photosynthesis in the absence of light, do you feed any liquid ferts?
You need to keep them under aquascaping or led lights set on a timer for a consistent photoperiod everyday. I will be dosing the bowl with liquid macro and micronutrient ferts and also use some liquid co2.
Sir please let me know from where to get these aqua plants and can we use them in closed terrarium...

missing fish
Too small for fish
Where can I buy these plants ? It’s pretty ❤️
You can buy these plants from aquarium stores
do we have to change the water? duration?
Yes water changes better than topping. Once in two weeks but topping will have to be done as and when water evaporates.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist thank you!
