Jean-Michel André Jarre (born 24 August 1948, Lyon) is a French composer, performer and music producer. Since 1991 he writes his name Jean Michel Jarre, without the hyphen. He is regarded as a pioneer in the Avante-garde, electronic, synthpop and New Age genres, as well as an organiser of outdoor spectacles of his music which feature lights, laser displays and fireworks including the 1997 New Guinness Book of Records entry for the biggest concert ever with 3.5 million watching at Moscow's 850th anniversary. Jarre has sold an estimated 80 million albums and singles.
Oxygène the album was released in 1976 on Disques Dreyfus, licensed to Polydor. Jarre recorded the album in his home using a variety of analog synthesizers and other electronic instruments and effects. It became a bestseller and was highly influential in the development of electronic music. It has been described as the album that "led the synthesizer revolution of the Seventies".

*Note: If you are a Record Company employee or artist(s) themselves who object(s) to this commercially unavailable video footage being promoted on UA-cam (albeit in a lossy mono audio format) then please contact us to have it removed before flagging it. At the same time you may also like to explain to the fans why they cannot access this classic material in a decent quality digital format anywhere else?
You wont make a profit on something that cannot be purchased but enough exposure may well help sell what you actually do have for sale. Meanwhile to share ones talents is the greatest of gifts!
Please also be aware that all videos uploaded to UA-cam are format shifted by the host website from the original files. This can often cause picture & sound deterioration (i.e. mono audio) as well as the occasional video/audio synchronization issue. The files are also deliberately layered on our end with logos and artists links in order to prevent UA-cam recycling by lazy up-loaders, while at the same time helping to promote the artists themselves!
