  • “Let The Gobbler Leave” is a unique and semi-counter-intuitive turkey hunting tip, but it’s worked for me many times. #TurkeyHuntingTips #turkeyhunting #Gobblers
This tip is multi-faceted. First, you should implement the tip; “Don’t Overcall” then second; “Play Hard To Get”. You can read more about these other tips of my blog:

The next step is to just let the tom leave... If a gobbler just won’t come in, don’t try to force it by calling more. This will just make things worse and he will figure out that your decoys aren’t the real deal.
Toms get mad when they can’t get you interested enough to come to them. The memory of you will be burned into the back of their minds while they go about their business.
Often, after they’ve had some breakfast they will stroll back through the area to see if you’re still around. They often come in silent, but they will be more apt to come right in because they are impatient and tired of waiting. Be ready!

I have found myself guilty of over calling when a tom is gobbling his head off. I think this more subtle approach is gonna be a game changer. Thank you for the great info 👍🏼

Pretty basic stuff. Shocks me how little turkey hunters know lol. Forget not everyone’s been hunting for 20 years.

Great tip! I’m definitely guilty of trying too hard in those circumstances instead of just being patient. I don’t know how many times I’ve called from a spot in the morning only to leave and come back hours later to see toms strutting in that exact spot.

Well we are actually trying to reverse nature by calling the Tom's to us. In the wild the Tom's stut and gobble to bring the hens to him. Yes don't over call but sometimes you can get him really fired up and just quit calling alot of times it will really peak his interest. And also early afternoon is a great time to get one fired up after the hens leave them and move to there nests

I promise to you. And I am not exaggerating. I had a tom come into the feild and stop at 80 yards while he stood strut for minutes. After he left I didn’t call and decided to stay involved with him by watching a video and making a move. You’re video gave me faith he would come back in. Not even 20 minutes later he gobbled right next to me and came storming in right to my jake decoy.
