Valdez is truly a gem!! One of the best places I have visited, a great break from Delta Junction. I absolutely love Alaska! The sense of freedom is great! The best!
Came upon your videos recently while researching getting an RV with my husband. So basically binged all your videos in a few days to find out I will now be looking forward to Thursdays and Sundays from here on out. LOL. Thanks for sharing your adventures. You have given me ideas of places and things to do when we do get our RV :)
Wow 25K subs! You guys are growing you'll be to 100K in no time! Yeah I could vacation there for some time for sure. That valley is incredibly and beyond words
@@timandfin A good snow coat as well. During recess we would play on the school grounds. Literally mountains of snow. We moved from south Florida in January of 76 I believe. I was 10 years old and never had seen snow before.
My (late) husband built the Valdez pipeline camp and the oil storage tanks waaaay back in the 70s. I spent a lot of time there and just love the place. So sad all the glaciers are gone above the town, but it's still an awesome place. And downtown Anchorage, what? You really expected RV parks?? This was a fun vid, love you guys!
Rv’d to Alaska. Stopped to observe Bridal Veil falls. Gentleman w/camera on tripod filming. Mini Van pulls up blocking man with camera. Van rolls down window...out pops a camera...takes pic...out pops iPad...takes pic...out pops laptop...takes pic. Rolls up window, drives away. Too funny.
I think thats every single picturesque place we stopped. I mean, we get soooo excited when we see the iPad come out- its pretty much our favorite thing to witness.
Hey Pat- Saw you just replied on the other comment. We ARE behind. We spent this entire year trying to play catch up. We'll be wrapping up RV stuff in the next month and then on to Mexico for some real time adventures. All this editing takes Finney a crazy amount of time to put together. We've been living in backpacks for the past month while visiting friends/family so we're doing our best to get everyone up to speed.
@@timandfin I completely understand. Your videos are really good and the better they are the more i think of all the time it takes to edit and put them together. I dont believe in passive income..you guys obviously work hard. Now the real question is whether you still need to be "bear aware" in Mexico ? Ha ha ha
Were you able to easily access most of the great overnight spots you guys saw in Alaska with your Class A? Or would have been much easier with a 5th wheel, in your opinion?
Class A was fine for all of the camping spots we wanted to get to. In retrospect on the whole RV trip, if we were going to do this full time for more than a year it seems like a 5th wheel is the way to go. Even though we had the scooter it would have been amazing to have a real car to drive around-whether it be a truck for pulling a 5th wheel or a tow behind car for a class A. One thing we have seen with some 5th wheels though is that they are simply too long to get to some camp spots. Not many, but believe it or not, our Class A was agile enough to get to a few places that tight turns kept longer set ups out.
;) You know we have to speak in hyperbole on the internet. We still need to tour SE Alaska- we couldn't do it with the RV and a dog via ferry- it was WAY too complicated. Thinking we'll head up that way soon though.
Great little video of VDZ. I have lived here for 17 years...the scenery, community, and animals are the best parts.
I wanto.to visit Valdez on summer time.

Agreed! Very nice!
Proud to call that my hometown. I love Valdez so much

Wow! I have lived in Valdez for 13 years and I still learned a lot.

This is awesome! Makes me really excited for my trip to New Zealand next month. Planning to buy a campervan and document the trip on my channel also.
That sound amazing. I would love to go to New Zealand!
@@corgilove8348 Can't wait!
Don't know if you know, but Tim and Fin actually spent 6 weeks in a van in New Zealand, check it out on their channel!
@@VictoriaMorganawesometori I'll check it out!

I bet you had a good raincoat!

I love the voice over mixed with the vblog. Makes it seem like a television travel show. Love it. But why are we so behind? :-)
