Let’s go!!! This was unreal. Heavy OG A7X breakdown vibes between 1:30 and 3:00 and bits of Tremonti heaviness in places… and mostly a TON of originality. Amazing!
As an ex musician and being raised in Baltimore seeing a collaboration such as this is very rare for a multitude of different reasons you literally got a better chance of seeing Jesus riding a unicorn. Metal music just doesn't have a large fan base or footing here in Baltimore and I can count on one hand the number of black musicians of met that were into this type of music let alone this talented and unique. Just wanted to give a shout out and say that I have the most utmost respect for the both of you. each of you have truly mastered your craft and bring an element of sheer raw power and definitive technique to both your instruments. As someone who has spent many hours playing both drums and guitar I have to say I realize the amount of time and effort and practice it takes to be this damn good at what you do. Not going to sit here and pretend to have been a fan of you guys before today I literally just discovered the both of you and I have to say I'm very impressed you both have gained a new fan. I hope that the two of you will help open the doors up and break down the stigmatic barriers within the genre. Look forward to checking out more music from both of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart I truly appreciate the talent you both bring to the table.
What the hell just happened? An absolute monster cut!!! The best thing I've ever listened to, just master class level! Devastating dynamics and changes. WOW!!
I've officially devoted my weekend to binging this channel. The guitar phrazing and chops on the drums are so perfectly tasteful that it feel like a dagger to the heard. This is some serious musicianship right here.
Jesus! Al, those lines are phenomenal! This partnership between between you and your brother is so damn good. I can't listen to this song and try to do something else at the same time loool. Awesome stuff man
OOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGG! This is killer! I'd love for Andy James and Al to Collab. Pleeeeeease. One of the top guitarists IMO and criminally underrated. Thank you may I have another.
This is so awesome! One of my favorite guitar players of all time is Tony MacAlpine and this reminds me so much of that style. With the addition of the heavy riffs and the djent undertones it makes me happy.....even though I am a drummer. Keep it up, great stuff!!!
Okay.. so much Petrucci influence here it is ridiculously good! I even detect a little bit of Friedman as well, but definitely a lot of Petrucci. What actually gets me here is the legato through some of the runs. While I have the finger speed to handle it, I'm more about legato, vibrato and tone than the speed picking, and will use the picking when needed. The legato runs here are smooth. I'd love to see a G3-type show between Al Joseph, Takayoshi Ohmura, Gianluca Ferro, and say, Midori from LoveBites. Each one of their styles would are different but complimentary to each other that it would make a killer show.
Dude!! You have the chops but you play with soul. Keep on doing what you´re doing because it´s beautiful. You´re a true guitar hero of the highest order!
Dang, guys!!! You really brought the "A Game" for this one! - Awesome playing by you and Stephen, Al. And awesome work for the video, Matt!!! - Smokin' just smokin'!!!
Loved that Al. Great lines, stomping rhythms, wonderful. 4 years ago my appendix exploded. I discovered your music from my hospital bed. Sincere thanks and God bless.
That synth and guitar unison section with heavily muted guitar synchronised with kick pedals . Man ! I dont have words. Best thing I have heard post covid 19❤️❤️ The whole fkg song is lit.
Thank the UA-cam algorithm overlords for putting this in my feed. I must have been under a rock because I've never heard of you but damn sir you have amazing talent! Love this song!
I literally watched 1 minute and 43 seconds of this and had to stop and reflect on the absolute "ELEMENTAL" precision and power I'm hearing. This is gold.
It's criminal that this still has less than 10k views... An excellent piece Al and Stephen, thanks for your part in keeping instrumental music progressing forward!
@@AlJosephMusic That's how I found you in the first place! Glad to hear it's getting traction somewhere, it's way too good a song to be unheard. Huge fan of your work man, thanks for sharing.
Great track. Great player. If he hold focus on the melodic theme and keep going back to it. The succes rate will be close to 100 % . The melodic theme was so beautiful in the begging and it was played as little fragment at the end. Once 0:56 and fragment 5:44. More of thet please. The riff is killer thought.
Wow i'm totally blown away! You both being this technically gifted and having the talented to channel it in such a tasteful way (Your melodic sense is out of this world, the composition wow just wow). Was just listening to some old school classics (Tony MacApline: Tears of Sahara Amazing!) and now this. I should be sleeping but how can I: you guys are turning my insomnia into a treat!
Just what the doctor ordered. Killer as always Al!
I discovered him today because of you. THANK YOU!!!
Metal is all about the interaction between guitar and drums - what better than having family playing it!!!
Guys, this needs way more exposure! I typed by accident and found this amazing gem.
Share to spread!
I was about to go sleep before I watched this video, CANCEL, binge watch Al joseph for another hour!
Al's melodious riffery has angels magnanimously cheering. I wish I could hug you brother. Spirit fly. -Godspeed

Tremonti is my fav rhythm player. Cool you noticed that. Rock on🤘🏾
It was unmistakable! 🤘
Man.. not my musical style but this is pure synergy! You're great.
Storm is coming..nope..it's Al :)

I feel Andy James, petrucci and a smidgen of Friedman.
But fuck the comparison.
This guy sounds like some of the greats because he too is great!
Lol

Two geniuses, the drummer is impressive 🤘😈🤘

Full of emotion, full of drama and so powerful! Great job Al Joseph!
Dude, your phrasing is just out of this world.
