While it may not excuse George Chauvin's behavior, this was done more out of fear, than anything else, and race may not have entered into the situation, rather height. He said this "is a big guy". Fear causes a lot of unjustified actions. For those that bought into George W. Bush's comments, fear of Iraq having weapons of mass destruction, fear caused us in the US to kill 654,000 people in Iraq, most of whom were defenseless again our attack and many of whom suffered. That is 654,000 George Floyds killed by the US out of fear that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction..
    To put it simply:
    Fear causes inhumanity.

Between 1997 and 2005, Floyd served eight jail terms on various charges, including drug possession, theft, and trespass.[15][12] In one of these cases the arresting officer was later investigated for a pattern of falsifying evidence, related to the Pecan Park raid, leading the District Attorney of Harris County, Texas, to request a posthumous pardon for Floyd in 2021.[36] In 2007, Floyd faced charges for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon; according to investigators, he had entered an apartment by impersonating a water department worker and barging in with five other men, then held a pistol to a woman's stomach and searched for items to steal.[17][37][38] Floyd was arrested three months later during a traffic stop, and a seven-year-old victim of the robbery identified him from a photo array.[38] In 2009, Floyd was sentenced to five years in prison as part of a plea deal,

I understand the bystanders did what they deemed as worthy, but in the 50’ and such, people were ready to get physical saying if you arrest you gonna have to take me too. Now I've argued with my spouse about this 😅 well what if all or idk just two or three bystanders were to bum rush the cop before his last few breaths, there would have mean some hope. Now I understand people don't wanna die, especially for a stranger, but I can't help but wonder...what if the crowd got so roudy, so serious free or end the torture... Not doing the whole “naw if it was me” card because I can't say that, I wasn't there. My argument with my spouse that he said well what if I get hurt, what if I get arrested? And to that I said EXACTLY no one in this generation believes that together a change can be made. Ride or die not ride and contemplate YOUR outcome and YOUR life if you help this situation. Idk if that makes sense. I appreciate those who documented but in the end on EVERYONES part could have done a little bit more...justa little

If the bystanders had freed him from being strangled to death, it would have been denied that he would have died otherwise. So, not only would they also be arrested, but the system would surely continue like this. The death of Georg Floyd proves that these actions of the police-officers were deadly, despite their claims they were restraining him according to the rules. So the death of Georg Floyd can change the system, so that many people are not abused during arrest anymore or wrongfully arrested for trying to prevent that abuse or just severely intimidated by a system that functions that way.

If the bystanders had attempted to free him from resisting arrest then even more actual innocents would have been murdered (as well as those in the riots honoring him)
"it would have been denied that he would have died otherwise."
Would have been far harder to make an example of the four officers, I agree. Harder for the media to find them guilty pre-trial.
" So, not only would they also be arrested, but the system would surely continue like this."
Or they would have been shot. Yes, the system where police arrive to deal with drugged-up criminals who have stolen.
"The death of Georg Floyd proves that these actions of the police-officers were deadly, despite their claims they were restraining him according to the rules. "
In fairness, it was in their rulebook...
"So the death of Georg Floyd can change the system"
The only thing it did was it led to more people being murdered.
"so that many people are not abused during arrest anymore or wrongfully arrested for trying to prevent that abuse or just severely intimidated by a system that functions that way."
Police are not arresting criminals so much and criminals are committing more murders. Those murders are happening more so in deprived areas, such as black neighborhoods. Make it make sense.

There are classic signs, pathognomonic, observed upon both gross and microscopic examination in postmortem studies specifically where asphyxiation due to strangulation of the neck is the primary or contributing COD. Isolated hemorrhaging and or contusions of the region, hyoid bone fx, thyroid cartilage disruption, isolated annular fibrous cartilage disruption of trachea, displacement of trachea, esophageal trauma, petechial hemorrhages in the conjunctiva, palpebral conjunctiva or the bulbar regions of the eye. None of these issues were brought up by the defense during trial. Earl Gray enjoys a long and great reputation and has been a pillar in the community as well as a stellar professional. He was ineffective in this case and should not have been the attorney for Derek Chauvin. This case was too complicated for him at this time in his career. The hired whore Dr. Baden didn't even testify to any of these expected findings according to the State's case. A learned person has to ask why?

    That’s nothing new.
I saw San Antonio Tx police put their knee on a mans neck in 2006-2007.
A neighbor was charged with interfering with police for telling the pigs to get off of the man they had cuffed.
All of those cops should have been charged with first degree murder and nothing less.
It should be a federal offense with a mandatory minimum for crimes committed by any and all public servants.
They are given the trust and authority by the people so they should be held to higher standards and should be punished accordingly.

George Floyd literally being handcuffed behind his back and laying on his stomach on the road literally begging telling them he couldn't breathe. Then prior to the firefighter came George became unresponsive what seemed for several minutes. It looked like to me just watching the video George had passed away. The police literally knew before responding to the scene that it was over a counterfeit "fake" $20 bill. Especially for a non-threatening crime, all he did was suffer from what was obviously a panic attack being handcuffed behind his back then being put into the back of a police vehicle of course is a extremely panicking situation. Begging and pleading for his life all while handcuffed behind his back on the road while 3 officers are on top of you blocking your airway and another officer basically being a accomplice. I seen the whole video of this situation. George was high and resisting, the police never told him they were detaining him for a fake bill (even though he may have known) his friends even said he was scared of guns because he got shot before. He would not go into the police car. Now, don’t get me wrong I’m still mad at the fact that he was killed but he obviously was a drug user and I don’t know about you but I’ve never met a drug abuser to have common sense in any hostile situation with police. He probably knew that he was using a fake bill and that’s why he was flipping out like that because he didn’t want to go to jail. But for them to just sit there with their knee on his neck like that. It started out with an ego thing the police pulled out his gun as soon as he approached car George was in they grabbed George out of his car, tried to put him in the police vehicle but George didn’t let them he was making up excuses on why he didn’t want to get in the squad car (I’m claustrophobic, I have anxiety, typical things heavy drug abusers say to not get arrested). When he said his mother just died I believe he was saying anything and everything for the police officer to feel bad for him and not arrest him. Now all the other stuff about it being a conspiracy theory and all of that I watched it for myself. It was a situation with a drug abuser and a ego driven police officer.

Whatever Floyd did beforehand is completely irrelevent. The police are not there to carry out sentences. They are there to protect people. Did Floyd present an immediate threat to anyone? No. Therefor, any force being used against him is already, by default, suspect. If you were not a threat to someone, and someone with a fancy hat/uniform tried to force you to do something you didn't want to do, how would/should you react? From his perspective he was going about his (flawed) life, and suddenly he's being murdered. We need to think about it from that perspective. Who would murder someone just because they could? A sociopath.

Between 1997 and 2005, Floyd served eight jail terms on various charges, including drug possession, theft, and trespass. In 2007, Floyd faced charges for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon; according to investigators, he had entered an apartment by impersonating a water department worker and barging in with five other men, then held a pistol to a woman's stomach and searched for items to steal. I would paste more but that would take to long. Great person though RIP
