I never get tired of this story, or of Henning in general, but this one of his is my favorite. His tears are actually touching, and it's amazing how Rob can bring out both laughter and tears with his impression of Henning's parents.
As an American, I can't tell you how jealous I am of British shows like this. This, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Graham Norton, and even Gogglebox are such great shows and I wish we were able to recreate them here but it's just impossible.
We do watch the UK shows, and we think they're great but they do feature much less familiar UK celebrities, whereas it would be nice to see some of our home grown personalities on these shows.
Dream guest episode: Claudia Winkleman, Henning, Bob Mortimer and James Acaster. Audience would have to sign a waiver because of the risk of death from laughter.
How has Henning done this ? he comes from our most famous enemy country and takes the P*SS out of the English culture and still becomes one of the greatest and much loved comedians around. This man is pure class yet humble and very very likeable .
Dear BBC youtube people, I know Channel 4 finds it necessary to type one word of its video titles using CAPS COS IT SEEMS COOL AND THE YOUTH ARE SO INTO UPPERCASE LETTERS INIT, but you needn't debase yourself in such a manner. This is not clickbait, don't treat it like clickbait. Anyone remotely unaware of WILTY of Henning is not going to be swayed into clicking by the use of uppercase for the word ridiculous. So just don't. And next time you choose a title for a video just think "what would David Mitchell do?"
My sister used to grab and eat a whole onion. I was called to make potato salad for the family andI removed my portion before adding raw opinions for the rest of the family. Raw onion has nvr been a taste I could warm too.

A team that consisted of Henning and Bob Mortimer with Lee Mack as captain would be the most hilarious team to have ever been seen on wilty
Against Rhod Gilbert and Claudia Winkleman on David's team to drive him insane
I need a fourth: James Acaster! (:
Greg has had some bangers to be fair
Rhod and Acaster against Henning and Bob!
Henning always tells the most crazy stories but answers every question like he is the only sane person in the room
I love when Henning uses English slang, innit?
It's just another string to his bow.

This show is guaranteed to have me laughing out loud 😄😄
How did David lose it? BBC you’re full of it.

Why? Just watch the uk ones
Why is it impossible? I know the US has close to none panel show like this, but I mean why is it that it would not work?
@@hellion9547 I think he means for similar reasons why British Sitcoms when remade for US fail. (Like RedDwarf and IT Crowd)
Don’t include gogglebox alongside these great shows lol

Love Henning and Bob Mortimer. Can watch them over and over again. Plus James Acaster and the the hilarious Scottish guy, Kevin Bridges.
It was Robs German accent that brought me here
Da ist die zwiebel!
I thought his tears came from a real place thinking of his parents , I wanted to give him a cuddle
I think it did tbh, Rob's impression of his dad being proud of little Henning probably pushed him over the edge, very sweet actually.
I thought so too, if so it’s a covertly touching moment.
I thought they wer tears of laughter.
I agree - I think something about the moment makes him perhaps wish his father could see the impression or see the story.
that's exactly what I thought, poor Henning :(
Henning is pure genius and I hold him "aloft" :)
Henning: "I would hold it aloft (the easter onion)", Lee Mack: "What... like a world cup?"
It's the revisiting of "aloft" that cracks me up

Claudia winkleman is just obnoxious
Rhod and Greg??
My ideal lineup: Rhod, Greg and David vs Bob, Hehn and Lee
They will need to keep doctors Handy.
greg, henning, bob, david, sean, lee
Add Greg Davies and you’re set!!!

You can say what you like about Henning but he knows his onions!
Henning on the unbelievable truth is legendary
"Why didn't you just say I don't give a damn where that onion is, it's not a treat ?"
Because he was just following orders.
He was just following hors d'oeuvres
@@kierancoughlan1378Well done!
colorfully painted onions, love the idea. Cocktail onions?
Brilliant programme. Really funny. Just wish they’d make it an hour long instead of thirty minutes.
Just watch 2 episodes then
All of his stories sound exactly the same absurd and its hard to tell if it is true or he is composing it.. 'innit'

Henning Wehn is a legend lol
A dream lineup would be Kevin Bridges, Bob Mortimer, Rhod Gilbert and Bill Bailey.
Ha. even his German has a thick accent.

Very well said, completely agree with this.
Was it a 'magic' onion by any chance?
That was hilarious!
hold it aloft
The C in BBC stands for clickbait now
Just to clarify, they've changed the title now - the previous one was like "David Mitchell LOSES IT!"
big black clickbait.
I think it's spelled "Mitchell."

Went accidentally over the line I think. Joking about someone else's dead loved one. Just a mistake.
Excellent.
Henning is einfach der derbste 😃
There's the onion!
That was one of the funnier episodes of the show.
