Looks great ! I agree when u pull, do not leave it on the pan u cooked on ! Also a longer rest is a must, watch ur temp and don't sear until the temp has dropped. Then u should of done a second rest after the 500 degrees for atleast 15 mins . Merry Christmas to u and Yours !

The only way to do a prime rib is reverse sear that way you'll get it medium from edge to edge with no gray band.
Take the dog dish out of the kitchen.

So over cooked for the person that likes their prime rib rare.
My target was medium rare, obviously if you like it rare you would need to adjust the time you pull it from the oven.
