      🤔 I just might make this for Christmas, looks awesome! ❤️
      Meanwhile, I made your slow cooker whole chicken yesterday, broiled a few mins to crisp the skin, it turned out perfect! 👌
      And as a bonus, I made chicken soup with the broth in my stock pot by adding water, salt and pepper in the bottom part. In the strainer insert I put all the bones, grissle, cartlidge, fat, skin (from sides and bottom that didn't crisp), 2 celery stalks halved and a few cabbage leaves to cover. Simmered for a half hour, removed the strainer then added carrots (from the slow cooker recipe), soup noodles and topped with nokedli (Hungarian pinch dumplings) simmered 6 minutes and voila!. I swear it was the best chicken soup I ever made, even better than from scratch! 👌😄

    Thank you so much for this recipe. I made it today for Christmas dinner and it was a hit. Came out perfect. I left my prime rib out for 6 hours to assure room temperature also I used herb de provonce instead of thyme cause it already included in this herb. I had a 6.2lb prime rib cooked it 450 for 20 minutes as you stated and 80 minutes on 325. I wanted it to be medium. Stuck thermometer in meat 125 was the temp and it was perfect. I will definitely be using more of your recipes.

    You ruined it, just look at the horrible amount of grey meat. What a waste of a nice rib joint! Searing at the beginning is a recipe for disaster as you proved. You end up cooking the outside and then cooking it again throughout the remaining cook.
    You also need a better, sharper knife.

  • @mencken8
    @mencken8 9 місяців тому

    I found missing leaving the roast in the fridge for a while to dry out the surface a bit, ensuring a good crust. The result, to me, was only medium rare in the center; the gray outside can be avoided by a reverse sear. Medium rare means medium rare throughout.

    OMG! That looks soooo delicious. Thank you so much for posting your roasted prime rib recipe. I would so very much like to see that reverse sear technique. Maybe I'll attempt this recipe for Christmas this year. Keep those awesome videos coming! 😃
