- Replaced throttle cable and handle grip on Honda ct90 Trail 90 year 1972.
I did not end up using this aftermarket throttle- as I could not get my motorcycle to idle correctly. I put back on the original handle grip. I didn't snap back before or now...but I did forget to grease the handle bar up before reinstalling the handle grip. - As originally it had a lot of old grease all over it.-that I wiped off...but forgot to replace...maybe that would have made the throttle 'snap back' somewhat.
lovely, watched to learn how to the top of the carburetor off the cable, didnt realize it just popped out with a lil force :)
Yuppers grease is good Howard 😅
yeah im having a problem with the original throttle assembly setup. its opening the throttle all the way, but its not springing back at all, but I can manually twist the handle back with no resistance and it closes the throttle all the way. I think this setup may be the way to go.
Maybe try to just put new grease under the original handle grip. -throttle.
Got a link to the new throttle assembly you used? CT 90 aren't a standard size bar? Cheers

Does the trhrottle snap back now?
The aftermarket product would snap back...but I did not end up using it as it wouldn't idle right. Maybe try to just put new grease under the original handle grip throttle.
