great job I do have a suggestion, if you have a silhouette you can do a print and cut and you will be exact and then not have to trim after you have sublimated you can actually do both the laminate and picture with print and cut.
I used to trim it but then it would shrink and not go all the way to the edge. So I just stopped. For a project like this one, I think it would be hard not to have anything hanging because they are letters. It’s just harder to cut around it anyways.
Yes. What Krissy’s Kreations said. Eco tank ET- 2720 is a good one. It’s $199. They are hard to find right now. They also have a different one for $249 I believe.
Yes. I checked online and I didn’t see it. It must be an in store item. I’ve seen it the past few times that I’ve gone into dollar tree. It’s in the craft section.
The rough side goes on the substrate. The shiny side it on top of that makes sense. The rough side with texture is the side that will stick to the wood
Yes, sometimes I do. There really wasn’t enough laminate left over that could be used for anything that I would make, so there was no point in saving it.
great work dear you are the best I Love you and Your work
Looks great
NICE, endless what you can do with sublimation
I know right? Sublimation is so cool
That is beautiful….thank you for sharing
Great Job in your videos. Straight to the point!
Thank you so much!
Very nicely done, thank you!
Thank you!

That’s true but I would have to take a picture of the sign and make the outline first. Maybe I’ll try that next time
I trim my laminate before I sublimate. The laminate will then shrink back a tiny tiny bit when I sublimate so there is nothing hanging over the edge.

I bet you could use a wood burning tool to touch up the edges. I’m going to try that. Thanks.
Yes, you probably can.
This is amazing!!!!!! Great job!
I am so glad that you liked it!
Awesome job thank you so much
A great video thanks for the inspiration
I am glad that you enjoyed it!
@@LeslieIrene hi
Thanks for video
If I might give idea to cut faster would you think a hotwire cutter might cut the plastic instead of using a knife
This might be a silly question, When you put the laminate down the shiny side is up? I don’t know how this works I’m still learning 😬
I really love the way it came out though 🥰
No question is silly. You put it down the rough side because it has the adhesive in it.
Thank you!
What a good sublimation printer for a phone case business?!
Get you a small Epson Ecotank printer (under $250 or lower), add sublimation ink instead of the ink that comes with the printer and you’ll be set.

@@LeslieIrene tysm im start a business this help alot!
I have to try it out !
Let me know how it turns out.
@@LeslieIrene I will but question, I’m not seeing it on the dollar tree online store

@@LeslieIrene nice thank you so much !
If you paint the wood white before using it the pictures will look allot brighter. Looks nice though.
Yes, I agree. Thank you!
Did you mirror your image prior to print?
I did mirror my image.
butcher paper vs parchment paper. Are they interchangeable for this project???
They definitely work the same. So use whichever you have.
good job, next time you should scan the wood so you can use it as a template
Try putting the laminate sheet on a white 651 vinyl and then sublimat on it and see that looks
That’s a great idea. Thanks for the idea.
@@LeslieIrene you’re welcome
How about scanning it, then upload the file and then add your pics to that. Remove the file then print and press? I'm going to try it!!
I tried taking a picture of it and tracing it in silhouette. That was a bit difficult to get to be perfect. Let me know if your method works.
Any clue where I can get BIGGER laminate sheets, 14x14 minimum??
Amazon had a few different sizes. I think they even sell big rolls of it.
I'm wondering what side the laminate goes in the wood
The rough side goes on the substrate. The shiny side it on top of that makes sense. The rough side with texture is the side that will stick to the wood
I’ve tried laminate so many times on wood and it has never turned out. 😔
love it but girl you waste too much laminate!
