You should consider maybe putting the starboard sheet in the inside of the bracket. What I mean is the weight and the heat will eventually curve the gap that you left in between the starboard bracket and the chair. Maybe put something in between to hold it and keep it from curving or even cracking.

I like it buddy looks like it's going to provide a lot more protection for your back and your neck I have picked mine out they are $600 a piece and I'm going to get two of them the placement of my Helm is past the midpoint like almost a foot to 2 ft in front of the engine boats that have the captain chair in front of the midpoint the ride is a little bouncy have a good day buddy and happy New Year
Hi Capt... nice upgrade! After NR-G sees their seat in your boat, and realizing they might have an entire new market for their product (on boats), maybe they will offer an optional stainless-steel, or cast-aluminum bracket instead of the black steel one....

At 55 years old 6'2" and 245lbs I can say that having a great seat makes all the difference. Years of pounding along with bbq consumption takes its toll.

Good modifications Captain for a high back seat. My ultimate seat would be to have: - high back enough for your head to be padded against - flip up padded arm rests - bolstered pad base so the seat can convert to support a standing position - tilt back option as well I’ve seen Taco Marine has some close to this design but aren’t tilting or high back… * anyone know of one to fit the above options ? Also Capt. look into the SeaKeeper ‘Ride’ trim tabs. a few more people really love them to reduce the bump effect by up to 60% !

Cap, do you have any issues with boat insurance, a 21 foot boat, single engine? So far all insurance companies won't allow this type of setup to go very far offshore. Until I go to a larger boat with dual engines does insurance cover trips over 50 miles from the US coast line.

I was looking at gaming chairs and auto sport seats recently. I really didnt like what i was finding for captains chairs. Wanted the adjustable back .
