Sorry, I asked for display of Primitives. The market has changed so much. No one wants real antiques anymore. They want someone's old clothes and shoes. You have great ideas for your booth.
@@vickyschipitsch8438 Primitives still sell around here. I think it’s definitely changing! I don’t want nice antique furniture but give me a primitive cabinet anytime! Cool repurposed unique stuff seems to always be popular!
Same at the store we're in. They advertise as an antique store, but out of about 40 booths we are the only one with antiques. People's old (not even genuine vintage) clothes and shoes fly out the door. Sooo many peoples' booths look like yard sales, hobby lobby, or yard sales of hobby lobby stuff. I thought that was just in my town!
Great tips! You are so good at displaying and repurposing! I recently found a wooden paddle for a tabletop round wooden butter churn. Any ideas on repurposing?
Thank you Brenda!! I THINK I know what you are talking about! If it doesn't have a crank handle you could stand it as candle holder. Hang on the wall with twine, burlap or ribbon. If it's what I'm thinking you could display it like you do rolling pins. You also may be able to lean photos or other smaller items as well! Sorry, that's all I got!
In defense of the NFS…I have a few key pieces of beautiful furniture, cabinets (Hoosiers), and medium size items in my shop that are NOT for sale. They are for displaying “items” that are for sale…they set the stage and tone for merchandise that I am selling . I’m not in the furniture business… I physically cannot be buying, moving, or selling Hoosier cabinets ……. just because another reseller wants to buy them or any of my other beautiful and sourced large or unusual items….. Most often the problem with NFS is with the RESELLERS, and not the general customers. You just can’t win…..occasional NFS tags or outrageous sticker prices on items you don’t want to sell? Come on folks, do you walk into retailer establishments and get pissed off because the business won’t sell you their shelving units or mannequins. that are being used for sell their merchandise?! Enough of the NFS hate! LOL😊
Valid point on big box stores. However they normally have shelving units, not cabinets. I want to make money so if someone wants to buy anything in my store I’m willing. Even if that means I have to source another piece and mess up a display 🤷🏼♀️ I appreciate your thoughts too! Especially because they were said with love🥰lol!
Yes, Not for Sale pisses me off. If it's your collection, keep it in your house. Sellers who do that make the customer feel they're keeping the good stuff for themselves, so clearly the available items are not as good.

@@playdohsrepublic3562 I know it’s frustrating when you sell antiques but I really do think it still sells! I skip over the other booths!
Their booths look great!
Yes. People are so creative!!

NFS items don't bother me at all. I understand not wanting to sell your display pieces or props.

Yes!!! So frustrating!
What is the point of renting a booth if you have NFS items?!?! I hate that!!!!!! Are you running a museum or a business😕
Exactly!! It makes no sense!
