Having the same issue on my 2012. I normally don't rant like this but I am so disappointed that there has not been a recall to replace this. I paid too much money and Ford has been around long enough to have eliminated this issue. Not a happy camper!!!
I would make sure it doesn't smell like coolant as that could be a heater core since it in the glove box. If it doesn't probably the sun roof drains are plugged with debris and build up
Only remove the ones closest to the firewall There are about 5 push lock retaining pins on the outside edge of the wheel well 2 inner retainers to remove pull the liner down no need to remove completely turn the wheels to the side will allow more room to access the drains
Did this fix your problem? There is water in mine, when I shove weed-eater line down it, water comes up and the line is wet, so I KNOW it's clogged, but I can't seem to unclog it...
@@jaandel1 I don't have a video but I can break it down. First have you checked the seals and making sure the glass is flush with the roof because that's usually where the rear leaks from. If you open the rear liftgate on the top right up where the wiring comes out of the body into the liftgate you will see an open tube facing you and the other is on the driver side C Pilar coming down to the bottom of the door.
First off buddy, it isn't a how to video it's just for a quick tip if some ran across this same issue of front interior floor flooding. if you watch the end it shows you exactly what to look for after removing the front tire wheel liners and what I did which was cut the drain tips off. This video was only posted to show a friend on the other side of the country what I did who was having the same problem after a dealer couldn't figure it out. as they were just sticking a line in from the roof track trying to push it through which only compacted the debris making it worst and wanted to charge an arm and a leg for further diag.

We have an 11 Ford Explorer that is doing the same thing !! Leaking water into the floorboards and even coming out in the glove box!!

Yeah I thought I would be able to do the same thing didn't work out more than likely its at the drain nipples and clip them
