We just got my dad the uc version with a great scope, silencer and two mags for 399 quid and its an amazing rifle . Very accurate and 160 shots per fill you cant grumble.
Where do people get the idea this is a hevey gun, it's half a pound heavier than my FX Crown .22 FAC, it's over a pound lighter than my HW97K, and if you put it along side a Beeman Commander it'll be quite a lightweight, don't review my 7.62 target rifle at just under 16 pounds that's a "heavy rifle" but not the RM8.
Hello Michael, have you handled an RM8 ? Because they feel heavier than their weight until shouldered, then again a 7.62 S M G weighs over 20 lbs , but then I only review sub 12 ftlb airguns that are readily available to the public, personally I prefer a nice light bullpup as they're easier to use when hunting, thanks for the input, Best Regards, Jon 👍
Well I think you have done a good job of making a good gun look crap. I would suggest trying some different pellets I use the AirArms field in 177 in my RM8 and get a 3/4 inch (18mm) group @ 26 yards. I am not saying AirArms Field is the best for all RM8's but might be better in yours
Hi Jon. I've just watched this video as I was in my local rfd today, picking up the bsa compresser for my new shooting club "venture" and he had one of these with suppressor, really nice Hawke scope, 3 magazines and pellets in "as new" condition for £500! I thought it was rude not to buy it at that price, so I did! 🤣 'just waiting for a dry day now, to give it a go. 👍🙂
Morning Jon, they're not a bad gun for the money, well engineered, decent accuracy & very safe to operate, happy new pump mate, all the best for Christmas & the New Year, Best Regards, Jon 👍
Heyup Brian, sorry for the late reply, it' can be done though I wouldn't personally due to health issues, I know a few people that use stirrup pumps & it take some effort, thanks for the feedback, cheers buddy, Jon 👍😁
@@jonathanhawke2995 I used a gunpower hand pump all through the Covid period when I couldn't get my tank charged. I'd shoot down to about 140-150 and then pump back up. good work out, but manageable. I'm 70.
Hello Dale, it's one of the bullpup's on the list for the early part of next year, all the guns are self funded so as to remain truly independent, thanks for the feedback mate, Best Regards, Jon 👍
Hi there great review as always I've just worked out your ft lbs and you my want to check it out I worked on a average of 758fps if I'm correct the lowest was 756 and the highest was 761 using 10.34gn pellets works out at 13.19 ft lbs oooops👍
Hello Phillip, be a little less than that, check the end, 749 FPS average, it's just over on the odd occasion & is being looked into, thanks for pointing it out, Best Regards, Jon 👍

Guns epic …it’s the best airgun I’ve ever owned …. Only downside.. like you say it’s heavy
Hello John, one of the best of its price comparable range on the market, it would be hard to be disappointed with it, filming the 50yd very soon 👍
