Bought one of these brand new in 2007, absolutely loved it. It’s a shame the sport quad market completely died. There was a while there when every manufacturer was making sweet 450cc race quads.

That was a close one! I’m glad you didn’t get seriously hurt brother. I’d spend a day going around the field with your truck and trailer to pick up the big rocks and boulders, the farmer will appreciate it as well I bet.

@@airadaimagery692 oh I know, the rocks are never ending, I think he just needs to keep in mind what parts are safe to ride and which ones might have big boulders that might hurt him. Before the farmer tills the land up again and after the crop has been harvested would be a great time to clean up some rocks. It wouldn’t hurt know what I’m saying?

That's one reason why I will always love 450s! They're so balanced and so powerful! Unfortunately Suzuki and Honda have quite the 450 category so currently only the YFZ450 is the only available option... Long live 450s!!! Great video, man!

The last time I hit a rock unexpectedly I was on crutches for two months but didn't slow me down as a truck driver, manual trans moving doubles and triples. I will say, that was almost 10 years ago and I'm not up for anything like that now. A couple years ago I was riding in a dry creek bed at night with minimal light and caught something that sent me sailing, the worst part was the quad was sailing as well and I got lucky enough to brake it's fall with my shoulder blade, doctor said it takes an extreme amount of pressure to fracture that , I think he was right lol. Be careful you guys, enjoy the throttle but know when to let up!

When I took the motorcycle saftey course years ago, we had to push the brandnew motorcycles out to the high school;s parking lot. We have a position on our throttles for our hands so we don't over power the machine. The dealership I was aquainted with had me take home and watch the training films for the four wheelers. It did not sick into me just how dangerous riding the four wheelers can be. They want us to ride them about as fast as we can walk. That's all. People are always wanting to go faster. The four wheelers can land on top of us, not kidding at all. And crush our chests. I still wear protective clothing and boots and helmet and gloves am comming up on 70 in about five month. I had a broken neck already and been handicapped for over 49 years now. My right leg died and would not work and it came back a little bit at a time. I still enjoy watching one work on the off road vechicals. I have some of the knowledge, and must work on what I just don't know or am not aware of. Most people just don't do the big tune up on them at all. About every two thousand to three thousand miles everything has to be checked out. The drive belts, the electronics, the fules lines and tanks clean out and new houses, gass filters. I don't move fast just want to keep busey doing something. Paul in Ohio

OMG Awesome Feller (AF) I wrote the following* 'LONG' Comment b4 viewing your mishap. All I can add is, OMG that really looked like you were in pain, I felt it all the way here weeks later, if not months. (In Arizombia)
    .(*)...Hello young talented feller,
I'm not ever likely to be repairing such vehicles as your good self CAN DO!
But I like things mechanical and the less complicated when it comes to engines, the better. Not to say these engines are 'simple' though it's easier to see and understand than an engine jammed between fenders of most automobile R & R builds that are found on this platform.
I guess that's why I enjoy watching you do these revival repairs that you are so insanely great at diagnosing and repairing.
I'm 65 and I wanna be more into some kind of activity, but my recent health crisis come years of smoking cigarettes has hit just as I retired.
LET THAT BE A LESSON FOR ANY SMOKERS OUT THERE. STOP NOW!
Now the reason I finally have made a Comment after viewing several of your videos.
The 'air-box' cover. Is that cover mostly needed if you're riding in slush that could put moisture kicked up, into the intake?
So then as long as you ride in the mostly 'dry' enviroment, you don't really need it.
I'm pleased to see you are able to do what you do that obviously is what you love!
    Best Regards Awesome Feller (AF)
    p.s.
AF, ... your nervous chuckle is endearing. 🥰
I just have to say this, may that being said, not make you self conscience. I can't believe I'm the only one that feels this way👍👌

My first comment on this channel after watching many newer and older videos from this guy... I will start by saying I have always been a yamaha fan. I have owned Suzuki dirt bikes, yamaha dirtbikes and quads, and a kawi here and there but have never liked or owned anything honda especially after riding friends honda equipment. Except for the 01 cr250 that was a great bike hands down!. My point is and I hate to admit this, but that thing looks like a beast and we all know how things tend to look slower on video than real life. This thing even looks fast as hell on video but still not worth 7k. It is fast, and has some nice parts but most wouldn't pay 7k for that just because of the parts list. I also must add, I appreciate you attention to detail and methodical approach to repairs on your channel. You have a great approach but you still have alot to learn when it comes to implementing certain approaches to repair. If I can give you some advice (wether it's well received or not) not trying to sound like an ass here, but invest in some better diagnostic equipment. It will greatly improve your time spent fixing certain problems and make your fix that much better! Either way, I would gladly buy my next dream machine from you after you have gone through it and hope to meet you one day. I'll keep watching and if you have something I'm after I will be in contact. Especially since I'm just in northern Illinois. Keep kicking ass and making great content! - newly subscribed!

Once we went through the carburetors and got everything cleaned out really good and the jets cleaned out. We also put a new spark plug. All we run is non-ethanol premium in it. It runs like a champ now.

Nice quad! You can at least double your money easily but yeah it'd be hard for me not to keep that one. Get you a prefilter for the air filter to keep water out.
PS watch out for those rocks 👊

What a sweet find man, very nice quad and those rocks would have to go asap but I imagine land is full of em so it definitely take some time to get rid of em all im sure. You'll probably be sore tomorrow after taking that hit lol. Definitely could've been much worse so I'm sure ya can live with some soreness right😉 Love your content as always💯👍🍻

Maybe carry a can of orange spray paint and spray every rock you see ... till you have time to pick em up
