High Nuno, I have the metal filings in my pump, I’m waiting on a good used pump to arrive, and I have purchased a set of reconditioned injectors as 2 of mine were faulty. Can you give me any advice on cleaning out the fuel lines and fuel tank etc. lots of people are say to replace everything with new parts which seems crazy, surely there is a way to properly clean everything. I was going to flush the lines through with clean diesel an compressed air, maybe use brake cleaner on fuel injector lines. Can I re use the rail and injector lines if I can clean them somehow. Thanks for any advice you can give, Cheers, Chris , Blackwood, south wales.
@@chrsrans1 hello mate. Yes it's a good start to clean the fuel lines. But you don't need to clean the fuel line before the fuel filter. After the fuel filter you can clean them. Any metal bits coming from the tank will be trapped by the fuel filter. A clean diesel or brake cleaner should be perfect. Now i would recommend cleaning the rail very well. Any metal bits could damage your new injectors. Bleed the system before starting the vehicle. If you follow my videos about this matter you should be fine.
@@axores20 Thank you so much for the fast reply, there are so many other people out there saying to replace everything in the fuel system with brand new parts that it’s was making me doubt myself and my capability’s , you have given my confidence a boost, thank you again. I will now clean everything to a high standard, good luck. Cheers Chris.
@@chrsrans1 you don't need replacing with all new. I never did. Just clean well. All those cars are still running strong 😊 any questions please ask. Good luck 👍👌
The key way on the pump you can turn it to match the sprocket, but when pump is removed you cannot rotate the crank, chain will jump off. This can cause damaged to the valves when crank over. How is the car now? You need replacing the timing chain now?
@@axores20 thx for ur time. I will be replacing it as soon i get the part. If you have discord i can share the video for the damage thats happened to help others to prevent it.
