    Thanks again for the 'refresher course' tools! This is less of a 'request' for a tutorial than a 'suggestion' for a couple of highly-underrated Metal bands you might want to check out. Savatage and Crimson Glory from back in the day, Florida around the Gulf Coast area. When my old neighbor, Joel, caught up with me on social media recently, one of the first memories he mentioned was the new bands that he discovered when my bands would practice or when I brought mixtapes to those Animal House parties at his place. Always mixtapes, never my record collection, because one of my rare LPs was destroyed in a drunken accident at Ronny's (RIP, 1959-1998) place in my other old neighborhood. My late wife, Jan, was the high school best friend of Ronny's sister, Kat; and Ronny making his own electric guitar for Shop class in school was a huge inspiration for me to get serious about learning how to play guitar.

    • @mat1210
      @mat1210 4 роки тому

      @@andrewgremba1450 hello Andrew when i bought a guitar in december 2k19 crazy train riff was the first thing i want to learn. My last comment which u responded was written loong time ago. I can play it completly now 😀 if u are a begginer who wants to learn that riff like me i have pro tips for you.
      U need to put your hand in this "spider shape" like marty, index finger on 2 fret, little finger on 5 fret.
      Your fingers should be almost sticked to guitar neck. If they will go too far from neck u will miss the gap to make right sound, and it won't sound fluently. If you are even bigger beginner than me, your wrist can suffer a little bit when u make that spider shape, but it's worth it and will improve your moving on the neck skills. If you are a "pro" comparing to me i am sorry for bothering you, if you are noob like me have a great lecture :))

      I struggle with that too, but can play songs that are far more difficult than this riff. Perfect example of how what’s harder for one is easier for another. We’ll eventually make up for that with a greater stretch and superior dexterity!

      I have big hands and still can’t figure out how to do it. My fret hand looks like it’s cramping up. I’ve tried stretching before practicing, but it just won’t get better.

    • @alexyssaubrie1606
      @alexyssaubrie1606 3 місяці тому

      Maybe your guitar is too big. I used to think my hands were too small to play but they will stretch if you force them. I bet mine are smaller than yours too. There’s a lot of benefits to having smaller hands, like being able to solo higher on the neck easier. Please don’t give up! If I can do it, I believe you can too
      edit: getting a mini strat helped so much. I can have my index on 1 e and pinky on 5 a and it’s clean
