Thank you for being a lighthouse in the storm of frustration that is trying to learn guitar on youtube. It seems like the obvious thing to do, but u seem to be the only person who actually clearly explains each note and doesn't just flop all your fingers over the strings. I swear most of these guys are trying to confuse us.
This lesson is golden because i am a new student and had learned the first 18 notes of the riff but when ready to learn the verse i was confused because i had seen in tab notation the verse starts with three open A's followed by an A chord but the "galloping" pickwork made it sound like he was playing alot more notes than three open A's but when i watched your video i could see you really are only playing three open A's but i just didn't have a well enough trained ear to distinguish it until you showed it and explained it and played it. Thank you for being such a detail minded teacher.

Great lesson! You explained the WHOLE song (unlike most other UA-cam lessons), and threw in some theory. This will be the first channel I have subscribed to.

ive been trying this the way its tabbed out. which is the original way. you play it a little different. still sounds ok. its rock n roll. doesnt matter how you play it as long as it sounds good. ima gonna have to try it your way. might be easier.cool
Hi, thanks for the question. You could certainly play it like that too. It wouldn’t be exactly right, but it would sound very close! I know this is an old vid but is it acceptable to just play the C shaped E and D chord in the verse rather than the inversion?
