I'm enjoying the Fantic X9 Ultra in my van. I can charge electronics, Inflate bike tires and Inflate a van tire if needed too. It also makes me a hero in the parking lot before a group ride.
Thanks for your work on this review! I bought the Fanttik and an Amazon/Asian knock-off of the CycPlus As2 Pro. I use my Fanttik as my main MTB long ride/all-day ride pump when I use my bigger hydration pack. I use the knock-off mini pump for those short rides when I'm just out for a 1-2 hr road ride or short MTB loop rides. Cheers!
Thanks for this comparison. Very well done. I've been curious about these pumps but not ready to pull the trigger yet. Seems like they might be just the thing for topping up tubeless tires while on a multiday trip. Just a note on your rankings: The fact that the larger pump "won" so many categories even though you don't use it while riding tells me that you need to "weight" your categories. They aren't all equally important!
Thanks Steve. I thought about weighting the categories, but felt those should be weighted by the viewer based on your use case. If I had an e-bike, the Fanttik may be my top choice. But I'm way too much of a weight weenie to take it with me on a pedal bike.
Great review, best one out for this category. I switched from a Fumpa Mini over to the Cycplus AS2 Pro. One thing I found is that the (unused) battery on the AS2 Pro holds it charge much longer than the Fumpa. With the Fumpa Mini, I had to charge it every three weeks, with the AS2 Pro, I checked the battery level one a month and it was still full. Curious if you were finding anything different on the pumps ability to hold a (unused) charge?. Also the Fumpa gets a bit hotter and does not come with a silicone case and is a bit larger than the AS2 Pro. Thanks again for the well organized and presented comparison.
Thanks for the kind words. I’ve been pretty impressed with how the battery holds charge when sitting in my frame bag. I haven’t pushed it past a month yet as it gets used.
@@TroyOnTrails I used to never get out on my bike without everything I would need to do most roadside repairs but I haven't been doing that in recent years and I know it's just a matter of time before that bites me
@@TroyOnTrails Hell yeah man. 100% appreciated it. My wife and I always love a solid movie montage: workout, getting ready for battle, sexy time, etc. =-) Yours was well done!
Indeed. Through normal use this far I rarely drain the battery. But equally as harmful, they get charged to 100% and spend a lot if time there. We shall see.
Fair point. It was getting pretty long so I cut that out. You can see the Flextail in action in this video. They all operate the same. ua-cam.com/video/KVRaC_EU-7k/v-deo.htmlsi=-MBga-s1Y9VKNkNi
@@TroyOnTrails This is something I'm worried about before I pull the trigger. How well do they hold a charge over a couple of weeks? Do they need a significant top-up?
@@rorynugent2512 i have been testing this. After a month, those with a gauge still show 100% battery. Im sure there is some loss but not enough to reduce the bars on the battery indicator.
Indeed. But this list is what I consider the best. Fumpa was the biggest one left off the list. There are many others that are all rebranded versions of the same thing as well. Aerogogo has a new pump that looks intriguing as it has a larger screen which may be handy for some. The list is extensive.
Just the comparison video I was looking for! Thanks, Troy.
Awesome! I'm so glad it was helpful. I appreciate you letting me know.
Great review. Thanks for doing all this work for us!
Thanks Corrine. Glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent review Troy! These would be great taking in my camper rather than a big floor pump when I’m travelling! Cheers.

Great review ! Much appreciated hot air 😅
Hot air indeed. 🤪

Thanks for sharing! I'm such a weight weenie I can't justify carrying the Fanttik on any rides. The AS2 Pro, however, joins me everywhere.

I need to get one of these I'm still using a hand pump
It's something I never thought I'd need. But I love it.

Awesome. I’m glad someone enjoyed it. I debated so much whether to keep that or cut it.

Have you tried the ASMAX yet? It's been good with me so far, it's bigger than them all but its good to have in your bag.
I have not. It looks good for keeping in the car or a travel bag.
Thanks Troy, it would be interesting to see how the batteries holds up given a relatively high drain rate and volume of discharge over it's lifespan.
Indeed. Through normal use this far I rarely drain the battery. But equally as harmful, they get charged to 100% and spend a lot if time there. We shall see.
My concern would be longevity. They all have small motors, so how long before they bust.
Time will tell. I've given them a lot of user so far without issue.
Kind of wish you actually did a demo of these inflating.

My question is are they powerful enough to seat a tubeless tire?
You don't get a blast if air like with a compressor. But they do generally work for tires you can seat with a pump.
How often are you charging to ensure confidence that youll have juice when you need it?
I generally only charge it if I used it. But I do check the battery gauge ever couple weeks of I don't use it.

Cycplus AS2 Pro good enough for MTB use?
Works well on my 29x2.4 tire. It won’t set a beads on a difficult tire but it’ll fix a flat workout issue.
