Great movie! Go see it. I went with a girlfriend and my husband. We were all in tears. So beautiful, so touching. I can relate much to this film: I have grown up on a farm and I am gay. Proud to live in this country (Belgium).
I do not want there to be a sequel. They will be older and most likely sexually active, which would spoil the innocence and wholesomeness of this beautiful story.
Why would that spoil anything? How have you associated sex with unwholesomeness? I’m serious, I’m curious about how that link is made. I can recall my own early sensual and sexual adventures, but they’re all wholesome and innocent memories. I’d be very curious to know who or what convinced you that your sex was dirty, instilled guilt into you about it, and removed the wholesome innocence, beauty, and joy of being intimate with a boy you loved. I wouldn’t mind a sequel, but I don’t think it’s necessary. I’m certainly not afraid of the two of them doing what all couples do, though. I’m tempted to say, “grow up”.
@@aristoteles43 No. It's just that when sex is introduced in a coming of age film, it usually ends up in heartbreak and/or tragedy. And I want to remember them as we left them... blissfully happy.
Love is hard enough when you are older, but being young and discovering your gay and then falling in love with someone is even harder. This was a great movie about young love and how hard it is. Yes i did get to see it
I can't wait to watch this movie in the theaters. I can barely hold myself with the anticipation. I hope there'll be no part two; like some have sugested, because it would ruin the movie and its tenderness.
I found the entire movie on Daily Motion so rather than listen and watch this retelling I'm going to watch it there instead, but thanks for drawing the movie to my attention.

Sex can also be very tender. Furthermore, it is completely sufficient to only hint at sex scenes subtly. Like in “Summer 85”
