I've followed your updates and aquariums since 2018 or 2019, and the amount of beauty that your fishes and your tanks have shown have been some of the best I've seen. It has been really neat to see you care for your fish as deeply as you do, to see you experiment, and to vicariously see species be happy that I will likely never keep for myself. I also really like that your videos and your aquariums are ALWAYS geared toward promoting the greatest health and greatest character - without ever feeling exploitative or clickbaity. Incredible photography and an excellent channel for sure.
Awesome Video Darius! Your cichlids, fish and aquascapes are absolutely stunning, Takes my breath away. I wanted to ask if you could do a video on your Paratilapia polleni (starry night cichlid)?
Great video. Thanks for sharing. You tanks have brought me so much inspiration and enjoyment of several years possibly a decade not sure but a very long time. Thank you
Definitely one of the top channels I’ve been watching since we began making videos. Always tune in when I get that notification. BTW you know I’m back (just like slim shady lol) to making videos again. Fired Up!!!
It's been a little bit since I've seen your tanks and they look super healthy and beautiful 🌿🌿 As you can see I love the Sunburst Platy. You Cichlids are huge in the 350 and the colors. ✌
I am speechless 😮 I just came across your channel, and I can't stop watching your videos. Your tanks are breathtaking 😍 Subscribed and hope to learn from you how to achieve this kind of level of beauty! Thank you for the inspection 🙏💦
As usual awesome video 💯 Your collection is beautiful , wide bar silver dollars is an excellent choice for dithers in a monster cichlid tank. And yes, I would definitely try the Jaguar Dovi in the 800 👍🏽
where did you find your lepirnus and where would you suggest to buy cichlids online, I have used imperial but have limited central/south American options. Thanks, tanks looked awesome.
Thanks, for new world cichlids the only places left are wetspottropicalfish.com and tangledupincichlids. I bought my leporinus from wetspottropicalfish
I probably wouldn't put the balance sharks with the south American cichlids because at that size they probably could still be attacked and scales would definitely come off. Maybe the roseline sharks could make it because of there speed and agility
I couldnt tell you how many fish ive lost due to agression. Thats the good and bad about owning central americans in communities. Most of my fish are imported as well so it makes it even more stressful when it happens.
Are you planning to add more scats? and is the lenti pike a female or a male? very nice informative video but the background music is abit overwhelming and cant hear your voice clearly in certain segments
Thanks, I'll only keep one scat because they are very aggressive towards their own kind and can only be kept together in large numbers, the pike is a female and thanks for the head ups about the music
Looking forward to watching the progress of Indominus in the 880. Are there any other fish you could add along with him to help spread the initial aggression around a bit and not have him as the only target. Which fish in the 880 are you most concerned about?
Thats the issue, I don't have anyone else that can go in to spread the aggression. The biggest threat is my Mesoheros Gephyrus, who is about 4 inches bigger and has the same aggression level as a festae. If Indonimus submits the aggression shouldn't last too long, but Indonimus submitting is hard to imagine. I'll try to add him with maybe some extra decor to provide some caves he can hide in...but that will be a summer experiment
@dwsdarius adding some more decor is a good idea! It is hard to imagine Indonimus backing down, I can see him climbing the hierarchy quickly if he is able to settle and grow in confidence in the 880. There's no way he could go in the 350? Too dangerous for the fish you already have in there?
Dammm I’m sorry to hear she got killed….was literally my favorite Central American Fish in your collection 😔 As for the Big Guy I wouldn’t add him to the Peacock tank, just too risky IMO and he will most likely get super stressed and just the trouble of getting him out if he gets beat up will be such a headache. I’d maybe think about getting a 220 for him which is a lot wider and taller….same length though as the 125.
Thanks, yes the peacock bass wouldn't be hard on him but the Gephyrus and pike would try to kill him, I guess I'll stary searching for that bigger tank

Thank you, I'll work on it
Love All Your Video Content...I've been following for some years now, what happened to the Black Ghost Knife?
Thank you, he passed away a few months ago. No obvious causes, so I want to assume age, considering it was over 10 years old
Great video. Thanks for sharing. You tanks have brought me so much inspiration and enjoyment of several years possibly a decade not sure but a very long time. Thank you

Thanks! Yes I'm loving the platies but my dream if for them to coexist with the cichlids, maybe one day in the 350 too
I am speechless 😮

@@deemister Thanks
hello from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I'm a happy subscriber to yours! I agree w you: the community tank is the most "screenshot worthy!"
Thank you!
I Love The Giant Danios! They Are Such Beautiful Fish!!! I've Got Some Too! Very Intelligent As Well!!
Thank you!
Beautiful intro!
Thank you!
Hi Darius. I love your bala shark tank. What is the dimentions of it. I would love to build one similar to it
Hello, the tank is 72"x24"x30" inches (183x 61x76cm)
As usual awesome video 💯 Your collection is beautiful , wide bar silver dollars is an excellent choice for dithers in a monster cichlid tank. And yes, I would definitely try the Jaguar Dovi in the 800 👍🏽

Thanks, yea I wouldn't want that they are so peaceful they disserve a peaceful tank
What is that fat chunky striped white and black fish @11:10 mark, in the bottom left of your 210 tank? Is that a hrp?
Thats a normal convict, 3rd generation from the original parents I bought years back
Great video
Thank you
9:45 I would try to add him to the 880 gallon and keep us posted on it too!
Summer Project then
Noooooo I didn’t realize the female Persi (I knowi spelled that wrong) died!!! I’m so sorry. In remember she used to be the tank boss a while back.
The worse part is that it was days before her new tank was ready...sad loss
Nice
Thanks

Yes Central American cichlids will go down in my records as the most aggressive freshwater fish. I think adding dither fish will help a lot though
👍👍👍
