Please expand and update the Koi pond!...and of course record every step of it along the way to show us! VERY interested in that! Keep up the great work, Troy and thanks for the vids! :D
Troy, Thanks for the update on the fish room. Thanks for sharing the losses as well. I am sorry you lost a few discus. I know those aren’t cheap fish to buy. So sorry about the white lips also. I did just get an all black tiger Oscar with a little bit of orange dots on him. He is so cute. I got him when he was about an inch or so. Now he’s over 2 inches already and I haven’t even had him for a month. He is growing out in my 55 gal planted tank until he’s big enough to go in my 120 gal 5 ft tank. I also picked up a geo Altifrons. They are so pretty but he’s super tiny only about an inch or so. But man he is all over the tank eating and super cute. I can’t wait till he’s gets bigger also. Hopefully he won’t take to long to grow. I also have a AC heckali that is over 3 inches and he is so pretty. I also picked up some Gouramis. A blue one, an opaline and a pearl. The opaline and pearl are in my 55 gal planted tank. They seem to be getting along. The blue one I put in my 20 long for now since she was fighting with the opaline. I wish they all would get along in my 55 gal tank Oh well. Appreciate the video. You should add some gouramis to the 20 gal tanks. They get about 4 to 6 inches or so and are very pretty.
Incredible update on everything Troy! Neat new security camera you got yourself there, the night vision is sick. Jeez there are so many plans to look forward too, you can do a video every couple a days. lol I love the idea of seeing more of the cold water fish. S.I.P. to all. I will miss kissy white lips, I could always find him. Peace.
I’ve had eufy cameras setup around my house for 3 years. I’m still very happy with them. I upgraded my original homebase to the version you got with that set and it’s a good system.
Sorry for your losses, it's part of fish keeping and I'm glad you're honest about it and not hide it like some. I've lost a few fish recently, a large sveni which I think was from feeding freeze dried food. I think he ate too much and then it expanded so I'll need to soak it first. Also lost a few African cichlids due to aggression. They are colorful but not relaxing to watch. I wouldn't blame you for getting rid of the bowfront tank and the colony of shell dwellers. Tank is hard to clean and there is always that green algae in there. You accomplished keeping and breeding them so it's time for something new imo :)
Nice tour on the tanks & fish Troy. Everyone looks healthy. On the hello reef tank I’d put a small container next to it as a ato. Put a small float switch in there that way you’ll have enough rodi water when you’re gone for a few days up to a week.
Can you add additional indoor cameras to your eufy system? If so, it’s a definite game changer for those longer vacations. It allows you to be able to occasionally check In and observe from afar and hopefully catch any disasters like the saltwater tank experienced. Sounds like a great future video to show how you would set that up, and how you can use it while in the road. Would be a great commercial for Eufy!
All the tanks are super clean and nice.Sorry to hear about the loss of fish in 150 gallon and salt water tank.Thank god it didn't catch fire bro Super Exicted for the next update video.🎉❤😊
I remember reading an article or background watching a video where Anemones and Clownfishes within an Aquarium setting wont really have that symbiotic relationship we all know and love. Especially when they are the only fishes in the tank, the reason they pair off is because Clowns feel threaten/can be predated on so the Anemone provides protection/cover and feed off the Clown's messy meals or sometimes gifted a meal. But since there is no threat to the Clowns in an aquarium, they dont have that need for protection. So coral is the way to go, otheriwse to get the pairing youd have to have larger peaceful fishes in the tank to make the Clowns feel as if they could be food. (That comes with its risks as well in a fish eats fish world.)
Man I haven't got to your level, but I keep Cichlids. I also have a big Koi pond I plan on making some good videos myself, but I have built a few homemade bog filters out of large barrels, but once the beneficial bacteria builds its the way to go with over stocking Koi.
Very nice video, tbh i've kept discus in the past, they are a great hit or miss: when they are thriving they are wonderful, but when you begin to see one becoming thinner it is very awful, btw instead of taking away the shell dwellers why don't you set up a fully Tanganyikan aquarium? I think is an interesting cichlid keeping side
Nice setup. I love all your setups. I’ll take all the shell dwellers off your hands. I have 12 rn in a 35 gallon with 7 pearl & zebra danios. I can put all of them in a 75 gallon setup
Hey Troy, sorry to hear about your nem. I recently went on vacation too but made sure to get an ATO from Amazon for my 15g saltwater tank before I left! Glad I did, works great! Also, what any suggestions for a cheap reliable light for nems? Looking to get one for my clowns to hopefully host. Thanks and love the content!
Troy awesome video. Your Geophagus tank what do you keep the Temperature on? what do you like to feed them to grow and color? How often should I do a water change with Geos?
Hello! I'm also going to upgrade my aquarium into bigger one, especially I have now wild altum angelfish. Praying for their good health in their lifetime on my aquarium. 😇🙏. Pardon for my english 😊
@@CichlidBros Thank you! So sorry to hear about your discus 😔 Are they really hard to keep and take care of? I am planning to buy wild discus and add it to my wild altum angelfish but I'm kinda scared and they are so super expensive 😔 Anyways, cheer up! 😊
Troy about how many electric blue acara fry did you have? My regular blue acaras just had a fry and I would like to know how many I could be expecting because of the tank size.
My discus are the same I have three that eat super well and the other three that don’t and they’ve lost a lot of color and weight and have tried all meds to get them right
Its just my experience so im not saying this goes for everyone but I had Discus before with the Tiger loaches and they were slowly killing my discus and didnt discover this until one night i deceided to put a camera on the tank over night and saw the tiger loaches bothering the discus ALOT and chasing them and my water parameters were fine as well
Love the shimmer in your 125 ,also the fact that your fifth die sometimes.makes me feel not target as much .We had 15 large tiger barbs over a one years time they killed each other in a 125 .had them 3 years as a school .maybe tank to small we went down to one bummer .put a few pairs of electric blue acara in the breed pretty fast .fish spawned to good 250 babies. so many given for free. I flooded the market jumping up and down. Please come take my gorgeous blue fish FREE.like to know they are cared for.will not try to bred fish as we are in a farming area only 2 stores to sell to in Michigan
If you are looking to get rid of some of the electric blue acara I will take 2 of them. At my cost for shipping as well as whatever you would sell them for
Cross contamination is real with discus!!…. Doesn’t matter if you buy from a reputable supplier.quarantining is a most with discus .I’m so scared with cross contamination I rather not add new fish into my discus tank period .😂
Please do not remove the divider for the Cubans. Those are two males. The tank isn't big enough for the 2 males. I messed up and got comfortable on removing my divider for my pair, and the male completely destroyed and killed the female over night even though there was no signs of aggression prior. I tried another female for a month with the divider, and all he did was try and attack through the divider and now I keep him as a wet pet. If you guys have an email I can send pictures of what the pair looked like in breeding mode.
