Dottie Rambo is without a doubt the greatest songwriter in gospel music of all time! This was such a blessing to hear some of the greatest gospel songs ever written!
I am convinced.if people would just listen to these songs often, whatever healing/deliverance, miracle of any kind would be met. This family has such a heavy anointing that you can feel all through this concert. Praise God! Jesus sets us free and meets the need under any and all assaults the enemy sends! All glory, all praise, all honor to God!
My husbands mother was closely related to the Rambos and use to tell storys of their families getting together and singing before they were famous. I did not know any of them and I doubt my husband did. But his sisters did. I was shocked when I saw this because I did not realize how much they all look alike. I thought I was looking at my husbands mother. And his sisters wear there make up and hair just like them. And this whole family is soooooooo talented . My husband could sing, and play several instruments and write songs. His mother and her sisters were all the same way and they all spent their last days singing in church. Wow..... I guess God just poured it out to this family. Thanks Mark.
Us South Africans learnt of Dottie Rambo from watching TBN during the late 1970's on TBN....and many other wonderful singers We are very BLESSED to be able to watch their singing/ministry talent now on utube.
When I see them altogether as family it's bittersweet, with all the pain, anguish going through at some point, because I've been through the same thing!! And I just don't understand how mates can tear apart for some strange person!! And how that mate can respect the stranger, give them what the family had!
I met them at Pentecost church in North Houston late 60's. reba was young . My brother was coo coo over her. When dottie played guitar. I got their album. I would listen for hours. They were so annointed!
My sister s and myself opened for Dottie Rambo in Dayton and she was just awesome lady beautiful made us feel so good about our singing love you Dottie can't wait to see you again!!!
Just beautiful to hear this again, I was 10 when I first heard of the Rambos and my family even sang some of their songs. Brings back a lot of memories with my parents. Such a blessing.
I remember the Rambos when my Dad use to travel with them. His name is Paul DeLaTorre of the Galileans. I have wonderful memories of them when we went to their house and when they came to Dallas to our house. My mom was Alice from Dallas, who hosted several Mexican dinners also. Donnie played for the Galileans for a bit. I remember when he would spend the night at our house. Mark my mom says she remembers you.
Very precious recording. Yes I can tell Buck and Dottie were both very proud of Reba , well of course. LOL. I've still got 9 or 10 albums I've had since the 1970s. Took my mom and dad to see them in Southern Illinois. That was a big treat. I still have the ticket stub. Miss the Rambos.
I like watching them working out the little parts they've forgotten, and then it comes out perfect. Maybe this is what Heaven will be like. RIP Dottie and Buck Rambo.
Saw them in the 1960s at Luce Elementary school in Richland, Indiana. Traveled in a snow storm to get there. I was about 11 yrs old. Was a fan ever since. They touched my soul. Still are at 63. Thanks for letting me experience it again with this precious video.💓
I had a couple of Reba's albums many many years ago. Lost them and had not found any of her songs since. My favorite was "All day dinner on the ground" from camp meeting days. Great gospel.
You know, there is something magical about their recordings from the 60's and 70's. The mastering and the technology of the time plus the arrangements make them truly a treasure. I always get put into a dream-like state listening to the old Rambos recordings and hearing this puts me in the same place. Thank you for posting this, Mark. This is a treasure! Old gospel singers never retire, they just go home.
This is wonderful! I'm having a little trouble hearing them sing because the piano is too loud, but it's such a treat we'll never get again! Thanks Mark! 🥰❤
I have watched this video so many times I get blessed every time they just blow me away how they just jumped in and out of the lyrics. Thank you Mark for posting this fantastic video that is going to be saved to listen to even more times. ❤
I saw them in the mid to late 60’s. I was still in high school. They played at a tent meeting in Oak Hill, Ohio. If memory serves I believe the Spear Family was also there. Was a joyous time in the Lord.
Mark Lowry, Thank you for pulling this together. You’re awesome!! (I’m from Lynchburg, Va) I LOVE Reba’s voice: it’s so unique. The tone is exquisite. And Reba & her Mom blend perfectly, with Buck & Donnie. Wonderful songs, Dottie. Thank you Rambo’s. May Reba and her daughter,Destiny, carry the family tradition. And wow, those high notes you hit, Reba. Whew!! Much love and thanksgiving for you all.
I just came across this video!!! Thank you so much for being such a vital part of the family of God, Mark Lowry, and creating such wonderful time capsules that we get to enjoy today.
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video! When I was a teenager I thought this must have been what they did all the time at home! Lol!! This is a priceless treasure!! Thank you, Mark!!!💚
I have just heard Dottie Ranbo and family sing and what a blessing. and I am anxious to meet her in the new Jerusalem I will be lookiong for the Rambos. What a wonderful God-fearing family.-I was blessed by the song that was so prophetic knowing Gottie had Passed on after the accident in her bus . The song said, "she would be teaching the angels how to sing" I did not get the title as she, Reba and Dotties husband, with, I think Reba'a husband on the piano WERE SINGING TOGETHER WITH MARK LOWERY LISTENING AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE AS I WAS ALSO.
I am not in a Hurry to GO HOME.... BUT when it is time I want To sing with and enjoy the Fellowship of Dottie and Buck and of course when Reba gets there she will be so welcome. I followed them when Reba was just a slip of a girl and she and Dottie Had LONG LONG black hair curling on the ends and they wore LONG Black Maxi dresses Probably in about the early 1970s. Rick
Didnt Buck ask God for help when thoughts of cheating enter his mind? Reminds me of Jimmy Swaggart. The same God they sang & talk about. I must admit though both men r great singers.
Dottie Rambo is without a doubt the greatest songwriter in gospel music of all time! This was such a blessing to hear some of the greatest gospel songs ever written!
Dottie's pride in Reba as she sings is precious!
