The stand I'm using is by brickcessories. They're a company based in California. It's not made specifically for such a large heavy set, but it works well enough.
I appreciate you adding reference footage from the film. You can also reference cross sections. It baffles me why more UA-camrs don’t, they subjectively pull a “trust me bro” and get details wrong.
Overal, I think it's a good set. However, not a great one. Especially for the hardcore fans/very invested fans of the clone wars. There are some details wrong or off looking like mentioned in the video, also we all know everyone would have preferred a 104th/wolfpack or regular LAAT. I think Commander Fox is a good addition to the set, since we have a P1 version of him and due to the leader of the Shock troopers (also fox is more famous). However, Thorn would have been more badass. For the price and what we got it feels a bit disappointing to me. There some classic LEGO mistakes in this set and printed waste caps are just not acceptable from a company like LEGO. Helmet holes look awkward but I get why they're there. I hope LEGO will move the holes a bit down to replace the pointing thingy below it, or move that up to match the position of the helmet holes. Lastly I want to add, it is perfectly fine if you like the set the way it is, this is only my opinion after all. But at least let's agree we need to fairly critique LEGO on the genuine mistakes they make when it's not needed. Enjoy the set or not it's nice to see LEGO paying more attention to clone wars and prequel era.
I definitely think us as consumers should critique the "premium" products coming from LEGO these days. There are definitely details that really should not have been neglected on such an iconic vehicle considering the price. The lack of genuine beam ball turrets is such a bummer to me. I'll have to buy the needed parts. I like the figures overall, but think Fox could have been done better.
I actually found a use for the storage space on the gunship. So, it's a simple mod you can do by adding a few pieces, and getting some laser turret things, and you can store the turrets in the storage space. And when you want to have them out you can take them out and attach them to a technic piece.
I own the 2013 gunship and now this one and I’d say this sets presentation is amazing however the door doesn’t open all the way leaving about 3-4 studs of space covered up and the handle though still easy to use with one finger there is enough space to fully grip it like the 2013 version
p2 helmet sorting system for 2013 and 2022 should be a thing but it would be too complicate for lego when you mention standard trooper using 2013 helmets while 2022 helmet works for heavy, sniper class and named clones.
4:10 Gunships with bubble turrets on the side can only have one door per side because of turret's obstruction. This gunship doesn't have side turrets. EDIT: I was wrong
I really liked this set! My son loved it more for obvious reasons. Wonder what caused the pink hues on Fox. Maybe the red bled through somehow ? I dont know, but overall I think the figure selection was a pretty good one. Heavily thinking about grabbing another gunship.
It looks absolutely sick! The build was really fun too. Would be perfect if LEGO had included printed beam ball turret pieces and made Commander Thorn instead of Fox.
@@DarkBluishGray I agree with ya on both. Maybe give us Thorn for the gunship,, and give us the printed ball turrets. Then figure out a better design for Fox for a different set. I could see why it was a turn off for many Lego SW fans.
The pinkish printing on Fox is simply because Lego printed white on a red torso. Lego has always had this problem when printing white on a darker colored part. Even the bomb squad clone trooper from 2011 had this problem on his helmet where the white print on his helmet had an orange tint to it because the plastic was orange.
@DarkBluishGray That's because custom figures are printed in smaller batches and are slightly more expensive to produce, thus allowing them to have a better quality of white print. You have to take into account that Lego produces MILLIONS of these figures every day, and adding multiple coats of white print would not only increase the cost of making the figure but also the time it takes to create it. This is a problem Lego has always had and, while I agree that it doesn't look the best, it's nothing new and is likely a problem that I'd here to stay for MANY years to come.

Not true. The gunships seen during "Landing at Point Rain" had the fully sealed doors AND the side bubble turrets.
