I’ve come across a few of your videos in my timeline, and I’m not even sure if you will see this being how long ago the video was posted. However, when I was a child my family had a Rolodex card box we would pick one card at random from each night at supper and talk about the context/background/application. It gave fantastic direction to dinner conversation and would be our “memory verse” until the next night (no problem if nobody remembered it though!). If you have children I would highly recommend this, it made a huge impact on my family and was such a low-key way to imprint scripture reading on our hearts and minds! Love your Bible journaling content, God bless!
Just found this page and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! IT's 2024 when I'm watching this and looking forward to trying all of these journaling types. I will be passing this on a to my sister.. We will both be subscribers!!! Thanks!!
You are absolutely amazing. Your creativity is a boundless gift from God and I am blessed to be able to learn from you. Thank you for sharing this wealth. Blessings Elisa
I am enjoying the Beloved Society 2020 Scripture Writing in TN's. I create backgrounds for the month, then the daily, or weekly if I get behind, writing and embellishing with the society ladies and what I gathered from the scripture gives me great joy. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us Elesa. I always enjoy your videos!
Great list of ways to Bible journal! I usually do mine in a journaling Bible or a Memorydex card but I love some of your other ideas especially the tag ring for Gratitude Documented
I used to be very creative but lately feel guilty for doing art because there are other things I need to be doing. I’ve also been struggling with reading the Bible like I want to so I’m hoping that Bible journaling will help me get my creativity out without guilt and help me come back to the Bible daily.
I just want to echo what scrappywife says. Don't feel guilty for your creative time. Yes even when there are other things that need to be done. In fact, being creative IS one of those things that need to be done. During the Great Shut-in, I was determined to be super productive and do all the things that "needed to be done". But I found out pretty quick that if I didn't make time for creativity--even just a small project--I struggled more with depression, anxiety and even self-discipline to do the things that "needed to be done." I finally figured out that I need creativity in my life several times a week. I now believe that if God has put this creative streak in us, we honor Him when we express it. You add beauty to the world when you do create, and that's something that always "needs to be done" All the best, tg
I love seeing all the different bibles and notebooks you have used. I loved how you used tags in the one devotional. Definitely will look into the disc system you used to bind together the one devotional. I never would have thought of that.
These are just so flat out fun.. I tend to make my own journal spots.. I love traveler note books the best. And take a series I am working on and run with it! Thank you, for me in this end ever. N Blessings and let’s go!
Great run down for different ways to Bible journal!! I love seeing all the tabbies on a full Bible! I like to make tag rings, too, and I have an empty memorydex box from Etsy looking at me. I need to get on that! Thanks for sharing another look at some of your entries!
Thanks for all the ideas! I've been trying to figure out what kind of journal to make for all my fav bible quotes and scriptures. Your video gave me some great ideas! TFS
I did not know about the individual books of the Bible books! Totally going to pick those up one at a time. Absolutely starting with the Psalms 🙌🏻💕. TFS!
So many great, creative, and fun ideas! I love how you so graciously share your ideas! I’ve learned so much from you, and I’m so happy I found your channel!! Thanks so much!!
Your Bible is so pretty, I have the psalms bible also and I love it. I journal using My Creative Bible live to color the pictures in them! And I have my regular bible to take to church!
Many of these... Blank. Would make great gifts! Lil kits. Many... surely would love these as a pick me up. TFS. New here. New subbie. Even the lil ring tag would be cute to give a decorated 1 to take off and hand out... As a pick me up to someone. LOVE🤗

@@ScrappyWife I do love Job that's why it's my first in this kind of format. He never gave up on his faith no matter what. It's due for delivery tomorrow 😊
I have the crossway ones to use for my TONAKH ( Jewish Bible) they are great so you can focus on the verses just from one book at a time. LOVE them. I want to create covers for each of them so they are colorful :-) Thanks for sharing all the ways to journal the word of G-d. :-)
I really like your Memorydex cards, but I haven't been able to find any of the supplies for them, so thought to go simple and make ICADs instead and adding them to a recipe file type box. Stephanie Ackerman made scripture ATC's on a ring similar to your tag book. At the moment, I'm working through a Positivity Journal. It has scripture in it, as well as quotes and good memories and then some art journaling pages.
Um yeah. . .AMAZING! You make me want to try AAAALLLLL of these. . .and then I realize I'm probably 1/100th as talented as you are! But I'll definitely try many of these things at my own level. Oh and I see how I can use up some outdated/unfinished planners. Thanks for the inspiration, tg
Great list!!! I love my interleaf journaling Bible, but just like you I love texture and that Bible gets a little too chunky. So I started doing mostly digital pages for it. I wanted to find an illustrating Bible that could deal with all my texture. So, thank you for showing the illustrating Bible with the spiral binding!!! I gotta check into that!
I'm so happy you're doing this series. I've really been inspired by you to try bible journaling and have finally decided to start small, just as you suggest. I've got markers and colored pencils and a few decorative papers laying about the house so I can easily begin, but my problem was...how to start...what should I use as a guide direct my devotional? I have enjoyed the devotional called Forward Day by Day for years and realised that I could read that, go to the scripture of the day and begin to journal my reflections from there. I'm going to order my new bible today as well, so I'm really looking forward to starting. Thank you for your inspiration and I look forward to more of your videos.
Thank you for sharing some different ways to work through devotional kits! This is very helpful as I am new to Bible journaling and not yet ready to create in my Bible
I can’t believe I just found this video. What is the difference between Bible Journaling and Bible Study? I’m trying to start with a spiral Bible, but I don’t know where to start. God Bless
Hi! I’m just finding you. Love all these options to journal. Can you say where you got the illustrated image of the girl in jeans and hat? I’m so drawn to it. Thanks so much!
I would love to go to a retreat where each event or session would be followed by a page or two in the traveler’s journal where each participant can journal their notes and thoughts. I thought about starting to do a Bible journal but wouldn't want to do anything major to hide the verses but like the idea of that flippy thing you added to some of your pages. Is there a video that you show how to do that and what materials are needed? Thank you.
There is not one specific to tip-ins, but it is relatively simple. Just work on small card or bookmark, and then adhere it to the edge of your Bible page with Washi tape. Done!

I am not sure you will see and read my comment and question but will ask anyway. Do you have a separate Bible you take to church or do you use one of your Bible journals? I love you suggestions on journaling. For me, l am still trying to find what works best for me. When going to church, do l take my Bible journal and notepad as well? Any suggestions?
I do have a separate Bible that I take to church. My journaling Bibles usually stay at home because they tend to be bigger and heavier and not so ideal for carrying around.
Hey, I used your link for the journaling bible but cant seem to find anything in the king james version. All i seem to be able to find is a few individual books but not all in one or a set of many and the few all in one's that are out there are not actually journal bibles they are more just for note taking with the space just to the side of the written word. Any idea why this is or where to find what i am looking for? fyi already tried christian book stores.
I think the King James Version is a less common version for journaling purposes. I do not know of a spiral bound bible that is KJV, but here is a journaling Bible - amzn.to/43sMkmF
@@ScrappyWife Thank you pretty sure I saw that one. I was just hoping you would known of one like your spiral or the smaller multiple single bible books in kjv. thanks I may just have to find a notebook and go from there. Although that particular one would be good for in church.
A devotional is a study, outside of the Bible, that helps you reflect on scripture in the Bible. Sometimes they are topic based like "Hope" or "Overcoming adversity" and sometimes they focus on specific books of the Bible.
Bible journaling or faith art journaling, involves using your creativity to express what you have learned through Bible study. So, I often us paints, stickers, stamps, etc. to create colorful entries within my Bible or journal that kind of encapsulate what I was studying. It is coming at Bible study using a different part of your brain and can really help solidify ideas and concepts.
Hi Ashton! Definitely check out the other videos in my Bible Journal Basics series. You don't really need much to get started, just a black pen and some paper. All of the rest is totally optional, and you can definitely gather supplies as you start to get into the word even more.
You should have a description box that is directly below the video. The illuminated scripture journals can be found on Amazon! And, most of the Bible journals can be found there as well, except for the Illustrating Bible, which you can buy on Dayspring.com

Bible study is the actual sit down, read, and study part. Journaling is writing about what you read after the fact.
Hi! I’m just finding you. Love all these options to journal. Can you say where you got the illustrated image of the girl in jeans and hat? I’m so drawn to it. Thanks so much!
OH man, that is very specific - not totally sure, but maybe try Felicity Jane.
