  • The family is grateful no one was killed during the incident.

Also pissed with suicide hotline on this...
The idea is its a safe place for someone to TALK to a stranger.
Knowing theyll make calls like this on their own, may discourage those who are suicidal and just need to talk; from using it in the first place -_-

LE here. Had to be consent. Or that’s no bueno.
Also, when crisis lines call 911 we take that very seriously. And a call that a man (who is specifically named, which gives extra legitimacy to the threat) was going to kill himself and his family is, well… not exactly gonna let that guy go till you’re sure he’s not gonna kill his family. So even if he didn’t consent, I would hold him till I get a search warrant or until we disprove the threat another way. That would be a bad day if the threat was real and the cops didn’t do their due diligence.

    I would sue the cops.

Well that's an ignorant comment. Let me guess, if they did not respond immediately, you'd have the same childish comment. Thankfully this nice gentleman used his head, the officers did their job, & no one was hurt physically by some sick and twisted individual who pulled the prank.

okay i rewatched video, it's a san antonio kens 5 news story but i see its from spring, i think that's a houston suburb, now it makes sense, the man is damn lucky to be alive, not sure about spring but houston is the cesspool of texas, you smell the stink from miles away.

Its not a prank its Swatting and needs to be dealt with as a Class B Felony.

Class B how bout THE most serious of Felonies which I'm guessing is class A......People HAVE died from swatting calls SO IMO IF you make a false call whatever the penalty WOULD have been to who you were trying to get in trouble YOU should get that penalty!! So Ladies making false gRape accusations IF the Guy would have got 20-30 years and it's proven YOU lied YOU get 20-30 years!! It'll STOP this BS in it's tracks!!

    Hey Policeman:
I would bet you a dollar if you would go after those pranksters.
You guys are good at harassing innocent, peaceful folks when they are just relaxing comfortably at home.
