As a Vantage driver I’ve never had any interest in the pedestrian DB11. The DB12 seems a different animal entirely though. Great car. I can’t wait to see how they refresh the Vantage next year,
Serious question: Why are so many car makers making their steering wheels so wide & fat? I just don't get it; particularly on performance vehicles where feel is so important.
I feel the front looks like the new DBS and the rear resembles a slightly wider DB11 …. Personally I feel AM has missed a trick by not introducing the AMR day time running lights as they have in the AM Rapid S AMR …. that would have given the front look an instinctive look. At last we have some style in colour in its interior and that awful Merc entertainment has gone….The vast majority of second hand AM throughout any of its range are boarding black interiors….. Ferrari would leave AM for dead with their array of colours in their range…. BUT you have to admit this car is sensational…..
I agree, but the problem with most people that order Aston Martin cars is they get very conservative. They have incredible color, leather for their interior and the bridge of weir leather that they use is some of the best in the world. We did one recently with the dark green and white interior that as you say, didn’t really look like an Aston Martin, because people don’t check boxes like that very often I wish they did.
@@supercarsinsecondsluxuryre8258 Thanks for your reply, for me when you open a car door you want to see some zing, yes AM do have all the colours you require but if you look through the UK AutoTrader the VAST amount of cars available are black …?? For me though IF I had the opportunity to pick one car that has perfect exterior design and the very best minimalistic interior design with the best steering wheel it HAS to be the BMW Z8 ….. perfection …!
I hate the way aston martin marketed this car since since they've never made any true GT cars, infact the only carmakers that can clasify their cars as GT is Bentley and Maseratti. Now when reviewers do the same comparison it makes it worse as it takes out all the value an acfual GT has comapred with the likes of a sport/super car that have the advantage because they were never intended for more than 2 passangers even if they put a resemblence of a seat at the back thats only useful for small children at best, in conclusion, they are trying to hit both markets and failing to be competitive in both.
