I agree. The second he put those there I instantly lost all respect for his choices. DeadStream was great as well. It was a mixture of comedy/fun horror. I would easily put those 3 in 1st and DeadStream in 2nd. And Dashcam in “burn the tape”? I get it, you wanna do the “well she was annoying!” thing but that was at least on a 50/50 still recommend level.
@@JoseTorres-or1qkYou didn’t like Butterfly Kisses? We’re you fully into it while watching? Cause man, I’ve seen around 100 Found Footage horror movies and it’s easily my top 10. It was great as well as it had its own niche. First time I’ve seen a FF with that whole idea.
The Taking of Deborah Logan is an awesome movie. The older actress Jill Larson has been in a bunch of TV and movies. She’s probably best known for being in the soap opera “All My Children”.
I completely agree with you about the first Blair witch. I watched it when it was still fairly new and I only enjoyed the last 2 or 3 minutes. I kept rewinding to see what I missed since it was supposed to be so good and scary then I realized it wasn’t me, it was the movie 😂
I know you understand you're in the minority with Deadstream but I just gotta let it be known that I think it's top tier. The comedy worked for me and felt like a perfect representation of your average influencer. I was way into it and am looking forward to more from the creators.
Wasn't a big deal when you didn't like Blair witch but when I saw you liked the NEW one more than the old...my smart watched chimed saying to check my heart rate😅
So glad there was a few of these I haven’t watched yet. And I would love to see your ranking of ALL Paranormal Activity movies, including the 2021 one :)
So I'm about 15 minutes into this video. I absolutely love the format. You just called out Butterfly Kisses and out loud I yelled "YOU BETTER PUT THAT ONE IN PRESERVE FOREVER!!" Afflicted I would have put in preserve forever as well. Looking forward to the rest of the video and watching new ones.
Blair witch, Paranormal activity, Creep, troll hunter, area 51, REC (foreign one), the last exrisiom, the taking of deb lon, MOM, VHS, amber alert, dash cam. Those are mine in order. I may have missed a few and pobably told my age a bit. I like your list but i cant believe you put the new blair witch above the orginal. 😮 There are 3 in you list I need to wach. I LOVE fffs. UA-cam has a lot of short ones too. Thanks 💚
With haunted asylum I feel like it’s fair to say it didn’t do anything unique or new, but it did all the cliche stuff better than any other FF movie ever did. Just hit the basics and nailed it. One of the few movies I had to turn off because it was scaring me lol. Appreciate the list though 🤝
OG Blairwitch was a game changer. It’s one of those “you needed to be there” when it came out. For the longest time the world thought it was real until the actors came out and did interviews. I loved it. The only movies that was found footage that gave me chills after that was Gonjiam Haunted Asylum and Ghost Watch
Love this. I can't remember the last time I saw a found footage list where I haven't seen everything. My husband is going to be so psyched as he LOVES found footage. So agree with you on many of these, especially Butterfly Kisses and As Above So Below. I have to disagree on Dashcam. I know it's not everyone's taste, but I love it, trumper-nonsense aside. ;)
Crazy to see Hardcore Henry on ff list. My favorite movie next to Fight Club. I know most people just consider it POV action movie. The only reason I dont want it to be ff is because that would probably mean Henry is actually dead and footage is recovered from his memory chip. Dont wanna think that. Im that invested lol. I heard so many bad reviews on Dashcam - especially all the hate the lead actress got. I finally got around to watch it and I actually really liked it. Making the lead annoying was an interesting choice. Forcing me to not care if she dies, yet, by the end, you end up caring about her. But I can totally see why many hate the movie. I think my expectations were so low that I ended up enjoying it
Also late to the party, but thanks for all these cool movie recommendations! I haven't watched many Found Footage movies, I don't really know why, guess the genre kinda slipped past me, but I find them to be lots of fun, even when there's always the question of why they are still filming, but I guess that comes with the territory. I wouldn't say any of these are 10/10, but I think they are worth checking out: -Exists -Willow Creek Both of these are about Bigfoot, the first one jumps a bit too quick into the action and could use a bit more set-up, but it's pretty cool and has a great ending imo The second one takes kinda too long to jump into the action, almost nothing happens for the first half, but there's a very good scene in the last third where the movie gets a lot better -The Bay -Apollo 18 Lots of people seem to dislike these two, but I really liked them. The Bay tries a bit too hard at times, but the concept is pretty creepy and they got some really creepy scenes towards the end. I really like movies where you see the beginning of the "infection" and how people slowly notice that something is going on, but then it's already too late Apollo 18 is also a movie that takes place on the moon, and the late 60s scientific setting is perfect for Found Footage, would love to see more of that. Also pretty creepy but it features no time travelling lol Lots of split opinions on those, but hey, I liked them. Maybe you will too!
I appreciate the work you’ve taken to put this video together. You clearly have a fascination with this genre, as do I. I think Creep 2 > Creep, but the main thing I wanted to bring up was some of the ones you said you should watch/rewatch - Paranormals, Unfriended:Dark Web, Hell House 2/3/4. Paranormal The Dark Ones is phenomenal; 4/Next of Kin are oof. Still fun watches imo, but oof. Unfriended: Dark Web is VERY good, but I'd put it like right above the original. No way this guy put the original Blair Witch Project below the reebot/sequal. Because he was too young to watch it when it came out and it didn't live up to the hype 😂 mate, you placed the trash reboot above it 😂 The OG literally paved the way for all movies on this list and was frightening as fxck and so original back then
Its sad, there are only a couple "bad" scenes. Other than that, I consider it one of the most underrated sci-doc FF horror. Placing Blair Witch Project so low is like calling Citizen Kane a b movie. It is in the top three for the next 20+ years. Have to place you on that do not recommend list sorry.

This movie especially the ending gives me that fear snd i loooooved feeling it . Also let me say a couple cool other mentions . Horror high desert 2 . The andy baker tapes. Deadware .desth of a vloger and followed are some of my favs. Oh and i haaaaated the outwaters loooooved lunopalis
Well you definitely sold me on Horror in the High Desert, thanks for the recommendations!
@@TheHauntedBeard watch it at night lights off ok? Please lmk what you think . Also I really want to also ask you to do a review on the andy baker tapes ?
No way this guy put the original Blair Witch Project below the reebot/sequal. Because he was too young to watch it when it came out and it didn't live up to the hype 😂 mate, you placed the trash reboot above it 😂 The OG literally paved the way for all movies on this list and was frightening as fxck and so original back then
Honorable mention : Willow Creek 👣
Yea I need to see that one still.
@@TheHauntedBeard it’s unique for the genre …enjoy
Cold Ground
haven't heard of this one, thanks for the recommendation.
Its sad, there are only a couple "bad" scenes. Other than that, I consider it one of the most underrated sci-doc FF horror.
I especially enjoy the setup initially, where it feel professional and safe.
There is room for a second story with the other crew. Wish they could make that happen.
@@TheHauntedBeard
Lake mungo needs to be in the top tier
Yea you’re prolly right. I need to give it a rewatch honestly.
This is not a proper list if you haven't even seen some of the more well-known ff movies!
What ones am I missing?
@@TheHauntedBeard There are 2 movies in 2011 named 'Evidence', one directed by Howie Askins and another starring Rahda Mitchell. Both are different but great!! Devil's Pass, Yellowbrick Road, Phoenix Forgotten, Skew as well... cheers
@@MrJaycrow30 thanks!
i hated paranormal activity it was boring and the ending sucked
Bummer
The Blair witch project 1999 is overrated not my cup of tea…
Dude put Cloverfield over Blairwitch look u have a right to your opinion but the reasons you gave for hating TBWP is lame just because of the reasons you like Cloverfield like did we see the same movies but I’m 42 and seen Blair Witch Project in the movies and I remember thinking it was real but don’t remember anyone leaving Cloverfield from the movies saying they thought it was real…dude you right you lost me when you put TBWP nxt to 💀stream 😂😂
don't know what to tell you dude, just not a fan of TBWP. Had a better experience with Cloverfield.
Tbwp is just sort of boring. It kind of invented the genre, but its characters, atmosphere, and scares just don't do it for me at all.
Grave Encounters is so overrated it's not even funny. What a snoozefest
Finally someone who also agrees with me on a fact that the original Blair Witch isn’t as good as the remake as they show much more stuff in the latter.
Stick to Marvel's MCU.
Placing Blair Witch Project so low is like calling Citizen Kane a b movie. It is in the top three for the next 20+ years. Have to place you on that do not recommend list sorry.
Gonjiam is watch on fast forward, and creep is top notch? Ya, this channel is definitely trash…

@@TheHauntedBeard lol my bad bro, that was harsh. You’re doing us all a service with your movie reviews
@@boratlion8613 haha all good dude, thanks!
Give him a break, guys. He watched 50! Not everyone likes the same things.
