This gave me shivers, the intensity and hunger Zach and some of these guys have to push the limits of ultra running is unreal and certainly starting a new chapter in the sport. Things are about to get crazy!
Talk about giving EVERYTHING. Amen on the shivers Harry. Really makes you think about your own effort and drive, where it's at, and where it could be given constant effort. Zach Miller - the 'ALL-IN' legend.
This is the most humanly possible beautiful video on youtube, yet to be seen. This is actually the only one you can't pause nor see without the sound or listen without the image. It's a fucking whole meal for the soul.
I love to see Jamil's shadow and hair flapping in the wind as you follow Zach. I still think that the Miller vs. Hawk is one of the GREATEST running videos out there!
Great capture of an athlete giving it EVERYTHING that he has left in him! What a gutsy performance. It was so cool that you could be there to capture that final sprint to the finish. 😀
Wow, amazing depth of spirit inside Zach, and a stellar catch Jamil. That whole clip just encompassed all of our dreams (Professional / Amateur) as well as the sacrifice in under 3 min. Awesome..
Nothing left in Zach's tank there - what an effort! And I love the way he just went around the guys in whichever other race they were in, not asking them to get out of his way but just skirting past.
Adam Leadbetter That's quite usual in any race. Tunnel vision bc of tiredness, and no anticipation of what's up behind. Fortunately there was a lot of space to fly around :D
Initially, I thought Jamil was just killing it when I watched the entire Miller vs. Hawks video by hanging with these two. Then I watched this one. 2:08 to 2:10 Jamil is on the outside of the barricade and seamlessly transitions to the inside. Clearly he is a Warlock or Shapeshifter.
Good for my first 50, thanks for asking! I saw you in the first mile coming back from chasing the elites. I was slow, but got it done. Think I could have shaved a good chunk of time off, but finishing was my first priority.
I've never ran 50 miles in my life, but as a very amateur runner, I am intrigued and curious of the physiological make up that makes a runner like Zach breath so hard, but you saw Hayden almost effortlessly running. The runner's mind and body is incredible, major props!
I want Zach Miller breathing on his final kick on a constant loop in my ears, the absolute best motivation. What an animal. We think we know what the pain cave is……Zach was born in the pain cave.
Seriously, how the heck did you keep up with him without bursting a lung? Amazing coverage and amazing finish by Zach. Looking forward to tomorrow's race. I'm sure he'll be bringing the hurt.
I have watched this 3 times now. Holy shit. Signed up for an ultra in 2020 because of it. What’s finish. And what a run by Hawkes too. People can do amazing things.
For me Sports film of 2016 - Fantatstic; Epic ....can't think of enough superlatives.! As an image Very Prefontainish! How did you actually get these shots? Its like the Tour De France!
Jamil Coury - best fastest ultra cameraman on the planet.
Thank you!
And a badass and nice guy from what I gather. Get some!!
That was like the most badass 2 minute clip of running I've ever seen. That guy's a legend. And solid camera work Jamil!
Thank you

Best ultrarunning footage EVER! Kudos Jamil for capturing such awesomeness.
Thanks Albert!
Holy shit, I'm so glad you got this on camera. I'd heard descriptions, but words didn't do this justice.
We are stoked too.
This actually left me in tears of emotion.
This was one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen.
Thank you Phillip!

Just wow....you can never say he does not give it 100%. What a finish, amazing camera work capturing the real life version of the flash! Go Zach!!!!!
No DOUBT! Talk about intense. This slides to the top of my inspiration bucket!!!
Thanks Steven.

Thanks Sean,
This is so incredible, the camera work was spot on
Not sure why everyone is amazed at this, I sound like that after 1/4 the distance and at half the speed .
I ran like this -once- for prob no more than 100 yards, I thought a bear was chasing me 😁
Unbelievable effort / run. Great camera work -cool
Probably the best running video I’ve ever seen
Nothing left in Zach's tank there - what an effort!

+Dylan Hobson Definitely a shapeshifter
Extremely moving to see a human pushing himself so close to the limit of physical and mental endurance and output.
This should be shown each morning in schools worldwide with teacher saying.."That kids is what giving it your all looks like.".
Previous comments say it all, but a simple like is just not enough. Great, intense video!
He's running faster uphill than the people running downhill!
Awesome video Jamil and crew, thank you for capturing this moment!
Thanks Nickademus!
@nickademus I am still amazed about having seen you eating Pizza at one aid station of Tor des Geants. Amazing race you did!!!
this is incredible. i've watched it three times.
+Moriel Rothman-Zecher Thanks
He finished when I got to the turn around... hahahaha. Jamil could have edited and uploaded this in time for me to use it as motivation to finish.
How was your race?
Good for my first 50, thanks for asking! I saw you in the first mile coming back from chasing the elites. I was slow, but got it done. Think I could have shaved a good chunk of time off, but finishing was my first priority.
Hahahahaha

thank you jamil, that was beautiful
You are welcome Martin!
Zach miller the type of guy to 'dig in' so deep he popped out in Australia. What a finish.
Jamil that was epic Zach is a beast wow!!! you rocked that clip!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
so inspirational!!
Zach's pelting it like he's about to get caught robbing apples, incredible running and camera work
I think that I can now say that this is my favorite running video from 2016.
I'm gonna run all my races like that from now on. Fuck it!
+SmokeFreeSte Best. Comment. Ever.
I love how Zach never lets himself slow down before the finish even when in first. No gliding to victory - just push, push, push.
OMG! Nice work on this one JAM JAM!
Thanks Johnny!
Really amazing footage, couldn't get better images with a drone. Hats off to you (and Zach of course)
I was there for the 50k race. I ran this last 300m in pain and I thought I tried by best...now I understand what is "ALL IN".
Whenever I'm feeling down during my training, I would watch this video
ALL IN! great stuff!!!! Zach is so inspiring!
awesome!
Thats the way I wanna finish my next ultra...BALLS TO THE WALL!
Loved the finish! Raw emotion!
This is awesome!
That's sooooo intense!! great footage Jamil...
Who else got sweaty hands after watching it? really impressive.
I got sweaty eyes..
Him and Kilian are by far the most inspiring runners I know
This level of commitment and effort is only at the level of some ... awesome video, congratulations for the beautiful work
hands down amazing !
I want Zach Miller breathing on his final kick on a constant loop in my ears, the absolute best motivation. What an animal. We think we know what the pain cave is……Zach was born in the pain cave.
Damm that was amazing. Tough as nails. Congrats to Zach. Excellent footage Jam Jam.
Thanks!
that's what beast mode looks like or should I say sounds like. congratulations!
Damnnnnn all or nothing. Thats just wow all out and through the pain cave probably for 50 miles
A shining light at the end of the pain cave! Awesome work Zach, and great capture Jamil!
Thanks Bryan
So inspiring
This is so badass
Seriously, how the heck did you keep up with him without bursting a lung? Amazing coverage and amazing finish by Zach. Looking forward to tomorrow's race. I'm sure he'll be bringing the hurt.
This is so cool👍
Beast! Congrats!
Oh my freaking god!
OMG that is AMAZING
Amazing finish!
No editing/enhancing required for this clip. As dramatic as it gets!
It was fun to try a different style. The runners themselves speak for the story.
Zach is a freakin' animal, love the way he guts himself!!! Looking forward to him taking a crack at UTMB... soon!!
Absolute beast mode.. Unreal performance.
What a machine!
Beast mode - on!
Read about it in The Rise of the Ultra Runner. Great read! But hell, that finish of a 50 miller is crazy!
Read about this specific race?
Well that gave me chills....
2 words! Heavy Metal! Insanity.
Wow! Super inspiring. What an amazing athelete
what a beast!!
beastmode redefined..
This is why I love running! You try to verbalize but it doesn't translate well into words.
What an absolute BEAST!!!!
Amazing!!!
I have watched this 3 times now. Holy shit. Signed up for an ultra in 2020 because of it. What’s finish. And what a run by Hawkes too. People can do amazing things.
KING STUD.

Nice!!!

Beast
I'm curious, was there anyone actually on his tail?
Yep, second place just 2 mins behind...
grindpalm Very cool. True grit.
I felt like puking when he crossed the line ..
Impressive finish !!
I don't even know what to say but WOW! that was intense...
Killer. That's some bad ass hoofin'.
3 years on still get over how much of a fucking animal Zach Miller is
WOW....Intense!!!
INSANEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Oh. My. God.
I'd like to have 1/4 of his mitochondrial build. Speechless!!!
Seriously
Dang, thought ZMis going to have a heart attack. What a passion! 🙏😊
That just gave me the fucking chills. Inspiration and then some for this hilly 6 miler I am about to embark on in 25 degree weather..power on!!!
How do you always get the best running videos on youtube? :D
We have a huge passion for both the sport and film making. Hope to do big things combing the two.
That was insane :)
He does the same thing with his tongue a dog does to stay could, just awesome!
No way he's pushing like that for the entire race... is he?
DAAAAMMMMNNN!
Fuck yeah!!
Wonder who the sad soul is that gave this a thumbs down?
Probably the guy who came in 2nd place!
Awesome shot! The footage is so smooth; did you use a gimbal or what post-processing software did you use?
You mean the stabilization? Magic, it seems...
I think Jamil uses a DJI Osmo, whether its the Osmo or Osmo+. But definitely DJI
this is why I'll never be a truly great runner. can't push myself like that. incredible to see up close!
I get it but it's so much more than that. Get out there alone and completely fulfilled and you've won.
