I hope this is a lesson to game writers. You are given a really important trust when you are writing a continuation to something like the legacy of the Arkham games. A trust that should never ever be taken for granted. Yeah its just videogames, but to some it was really important. People felt those old games. You never truly know if reconning a story will truly be the last time for a character. You saw the three games and the finality of them and were like, "nope! lets bring him back"...like it all meant nothing to anyone because you just...wanted to. With no clear plan. Now, Kevin is gone, and no re-retcon will ever fix your mistake. You could bring the character back with a different voice but it'll never be the same as Kevin and Mark Hamill signing off the right way, years ago. That's dead now. Forever now people will have to mentally block out what has been tarnished. You should have never even touched it. You could have made a suicide squad game that had nothing at all to do with the legacy of Arkham, and Kevin's performance. That would have been fine. But now...your selfish decision...for marketing? is tied to his memory. You broke that trust.

Putting aside the fact that even if Kevin was still alive, this was super disrespectful for the character alone. Kevin was at a level that having him, as Batman, was a gift that has immense cultural significance. Especially as this specific character. You never take that sort of gift for granted. That goes double if they are above the age of 60. Like sticking Christopher Lee in the Hobbit or Leonard Nimoy in Star Trek into Darkness or Carrie Fisher in Star Wars Rise of Skywalker. These are all actors, at a high level, playing characters that have mass resonance with a lot of people. In projects that didn't fully understand that. They were all of advanced age and it needs to be part of the equation. I don't care if Rocksteady casted Kevin as Batman in a cereal commercial....you don't mess it up. Because older people die, and it could be the last bookend to a legendary performance. You don't disrespect it.

Barry's "You have to kill us" is so powerful and heartfelt that our group of literal nobodies (legit called Suicide Squad) being the last hope that no one believes in (Not even Diana) seems like s good idea. But Bats death wasn't executed properly, not the fact that he died but how, look at his fight, now THAT is a real homage, being stomped one by one with Arkham tactics was glorious, if we had something similar for his death perhaps the backlash would be minor.

The fact that Batman goes out like a chump under mind control by Harley Quinn of all characters in a terribly forced story, or the fact that Kevin Conroy's other last performance is supposed to be as Thomas Wayne in Caped Crusader. This man was a legend. In a way he taught us what a true superhero is supposed be like. Not just a person with the cool gadgets and suits but a person who wasn't willing to give up until the very end, a person who is willing to fight for everyone he loved. He was vengeance, He was the knight but he will forever be known as *The Batman*. Rest in peace Mr. Conroy you will be missed.

Still, even in a game called Kill The Justice League, I held onto a shred of hope that actually killing the heroes was optional, that there might be a way to break them out of the mind control. That's how it normally plays out in stories like this. I was sadly proven wrong.

This should’ve been Vicki Vale with the Gotham Gazette speaking to the citizens of Gotham. Batman wasn’t the Dark Knight of Metropolis. He was the Dark Knight of Gotham City, it was the city Bruce loved and protected. He’d want to say one last goodbye to the citizens he swore to protect.
Really weird decision to do this game. It’s so strange how we got here. In the 10 years since Arkham knight we could have had a Superman game or a Batman beyond game featuring Kevin conroy and will friedle. Instead we got this really weird piece of crap..

After being so blindsided by this game, this moved me so hard. It’s not about his last performance but every one. Thank you Kevin Conroy, I will never forget you.
I just want to say one thing: while I haven’t played the game and know a lot of people weren’t crazy about it, I still am grateful to see Kevin Conroy in something posthumously.
The game may not be the best, but it still makes me happy to at least hear his voice one more time as Batman. I grew up watching the reruns of the old animated series and loved the Arkham games in high school /early college days. He’ll always be my Batman.

There are many actors out there who have played the dark Knight, but I think I speak for everyone when I say Kevin Conroy was the best Batman we have ever had. No one could ever replace him. He will have a place in our hearts, always rest in peace Kevin Batman is forever.

BUT what they did by honoring Asylum, City and Knight in various parts of the game is beautiful and fine and Lois Lane's message hurt me a lot since Kevin Conroy is the definitive Batman, he is a hero for everyone and the one of our childhoods.

OMG!!!! This just made me drop my head and shed a tear. I remember watching the very first episode of Batman: TAS in 1992. It was on Fox Kids on a Saturday morning. Heard his voice and said PERFECT!!! And for over 30 years, always heard Kevin Conroys voice whenever I read a Batman comic or saw some artwork. And then we lost the Legend, Kevin Conroy...the true Batman. And then to see his Batman get killed like a punk by Harley.....makes me sick to my stomach. There are many that will not understand this. And there are many whop will. Either way, thank you Mr. Conroy for making so many of our childhoods and beyond so awesome. You will be and shall be missed.

Their "Thank you, Kevin" is more like "Fuck you, Kevin." A blatant disrespect to the arkhamverse, the batman fans, DC Fans & Mr. Conroy himself. This game is a stain in the underwear of life.

A moving tribute to one of the greatest men in DC history. I still love the game so much. It’s quite a nice ending on Conroy’s Arkham Batman and give’s him on last chance to explore Batman’s psychology which is something he loved. I think he would’ve liked the Batman in this game.
he did love it thats why he recorded the lines and did an amazing job voiceing it (also not from me saying it that was the devs who said that who worked with him every day)
While I don't love how batman was killed off in this game this scene was beautiful and had me tearing up after the credits
The destination is nowhere near as important as the journey

To me this game will never be canon and to the Arkham verse. The Arkham series ended with Arkham knight to me suicide squad takes place somewhere in the multiverse not after Arkham knight
