Very good I do enjoy good listening reminds me sort of Renasance Festival whith castles and knights and in the foreground fields of flowers and flowing streams over small rocks. I dont know alot about music and cant read notes or do scales. I did however play the trombone in school from 5th grd. through my senior year. I stayed usually at 2nd and 3rd. trombone playing mostly by ear and watching the person next to me. You are a good flute player and it takes lots of wanting and practice, Thanks
Hey, hello, I'm writing from luxembourg, a tiny tiny coutry between France, Germany and Belgium^^ I have played flute for 8 years now and I have an exam in more or less a month and I'll play that song, well, the 1st and the 2nd mouvement. You inspired me a bit, so guess I have to tell you that you are awesome!! really I've seen a few videos of yours and it's really amazing ;)
You are so incredibly adorable! You remind so much of my niece. When I look for inspiration I come and look at your videos. I can tell you are such a sweetheart too! Best wishes to you! ~Kate
That was spectacular! I also play the flute, music is my passion so so I study hard each day, but someday I hope that I can become as good as a flute player as you.
this sounds great! i'm playing it for a semester evaluation this week, and i can't even lie, this is the best recording of the rondo on youtube... lol i've been using it as a model... just curious, im assuming you'll study music in college, do you know where you're going?! i'm finishing my senior year studying music - flute performance, funny how i'm referring to a recording by someone who's 16 lol i wish i knew about the suzuki method when i was younger haha
Another great video! You're REALLY good, haha. You are just so well-rounded, I don't know what to say...Talent but also lots of hard work, obviously! And you study with Laurel Maurer, wowwwww! That's awesome, good for you!
whoaaa @1:39>> and down crazy up and down runs..that is what i hate th emost about playing especially for a clarinet player like myself..jumping up and down from OCATVE to the lowest of the low and maintain a steady airflow that is neutral..hard to do
I HAVE TO PLAY THIS FOR SOLO AND ENSEMBLE! its really hard... im 13.... i have to play sonata in G and Rondo.. which is what this is. this is the hard part
Why do you film yourself warming up? Just out of curiosity...like I don't know, wouldn't you rather film your performances to know how you actually do in a pressure situation?
First of all- people can tell if you're good evenif you have a bad microphone- by hearing how your sound and articulation come out some its no excuse, really. Second- just because you can "play" a piece doesn't mean you can play it well- and hearing your 'somewhere over the rainbow', I think not
i think you played very well, but your fingers need to stay on the keys...!! my teacher would shoot you, lol, she's a nazi about posture and hands. this is a fast tempo piece and your fingers probably have to move quite fast, so having your fingers on the keys all the time will help you So much!
Love your playing! Please post more of your performances!
I just saw Helen on PBS. She was awesome.
