If you've been keeping up with my journey into the world of meal delivery services, you’d know that I'm doing my best to try and figure out who the winners and losers are when it comes to meal delivery services. And for the past 2 months or so, I've been experimenting with Factor 75, and so far, I’ve had an excellent experience. I gave it about 2 months of using ‘Factor’ before making this review so that I'd have enough time and experience to get to know what Factor is all about and see if it really lived up to all the hype. So, to kick things off, for those of you who might not be totally familiar, Factor75, or just Factor, as they go by now, is a meal delivery service with a strong emphasis on health and well-being. They work with dietitians and chefs to deliver a wide range of meal options that taste good and aim to be nutritionally balanced. And something that sets them apart is their commitment to using organic ingredients wherever possible, so you won’t have to worry about GMOs, hormones, or preservatives. But we’ll get to all that later on. I also think that they particularly stand out because their meals arrive completely pre-cooked and just need to be heated up in the microwave or oven, which we’ll also explore in detail a bit later on. Now, in terms of quality ingredients, they really shine. While some meal delivery services call themselves healthy, they often cut corners when it comes to being organic. But Factor 75 understands that eating organic is part of a healthy diet, and they want to ensure that their customers are not putting any GMOs, hormones, preservatives, or refined sugars into their bodies. Now, I hope that I’m not painting the picture that everything about Factor75 is perfect. Like any other product or service, they have limitations. For instance, I wish they’d also opt for wild-caught salmon as opposed to the farmed salmon they use for their recipes. It's a small issue, but I think that it’s worth mentioning on account of their organic approach. But on the flip side, their meats are sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised animals, and their poultry options are also raised humanely, which is a major win in my book. Alright, so you've signed up and received your first Factor box. What's next? Well, all the meals come in ready to heat and eat plastic containers with a plastic film sealing them. But just keep in mind that some meals come with sauce containers, which should, of course, be taken out before heating both in the microwave and the oven. And if you have the time, I always recommend using an oven rather than a microwave whenever possible. I think that an oven does a much better job evenly heating and maintaining flavor than a microwave does, but this isn’t just true for Factor meals; I prefer using an oven across the board. Now, a very significant consideration when deciding on a meal kit service is - pricing. And Factor offers several pricing models that depend on how many meals you want to receive per week. Because, as with most services or products, the more you order, the lower the per-meal cost, which adds a degree of flexibility based on your lifestyle and needs. Of course, If you don’t want that many meals, I’d still recommend perhaps going in with a friend or something like that because, over the long run, ordering more meals per week will lower the cost pretty significantly. To sum it up, Factor offers an experience that’s kind of hard to beat. They combine really tasty and flavorful meals with health-conscious meal planning, flexibility, and a commitment to sustainability. And while it may be on the higher end of the price spectrum, and some people have had difficulty with customer service, the quality of the meals and the convenience they offer make it, in my opinion, well worth the investment for a lot of people. We were going away on vacation for a week so we had them deliver so our kids won't have to worry about making any food. This worked fantastically for us!! I highly recommend doing this for anyone leaving their kids at home. It saved us all the worrying and headache of preparing them what they would eat before we flew out. I had a hard time coming back from work each day and gathering energy to cook anything. I was eating out a lot, I mean a Lot! I signed up for Factor 75. At first I was honestly disappointed because my first meal was Chive Chicken, but it came with sour cream. I really don't like sour cream…luckily I opened up another package which was the chicken alfredo pasta and that was really delicious! 8 out of 10 meals were spot on for me (I wasnt a fan of the Sage Pork chop either). I am somewhat a picky eater, but I still use Factor, especially now that I know all my favorites and it's really nice to come home and heat a nice meal after a long day at work.
I remember when I tried the Louisiana Shrimp and it just did not hit my taste buds whatsoever. The rest of the packages I had that week were great, but I still remember not to go for that one lol. The Chicken Alfredo is an awesome choice, I like that one as well, but my favorites are really any of the vegan options, usually 10/10 for me on those. Thanks for sharing!

I signed up for Factor 75 because I was looking to start a Keto diet. I wanted to ease off all the carbohydrates I have been eating lately. I have been really enjoying it so far! I get 10 keto meals delivered to me each week, Usually my breakdown is 2 meals a day, and I just cook something myself over the weekend. It comes aesthetically appealing, it doesn't look like a mushy astronaut container, this for me was a huge factor because other meal plans I tried looked a bit unappealing. I think it's worth it just for the time it has been saving me, it was really hard being creative on what to make for my keto diet.

They do! They have a meal plan called Protein Plus. It is one of their more popular options which contains 30 grams of protein or more per serving. One example of a meal in this plan is the Grilled Steakhouse Filet Mignon, with parmesan, creamed spinach, Brocolini, asiago butter (definitely not like those milkshake options :) This meal has 48 grams of protein. Overall though most of their options will be between 30-50 grams of protein. Their Sour Cream and Chive Chicken for example has 32 grams of protein. Great meal plan option if you are looking for a quick way to make a high protein meal after hitting the gym. Awesome question and feel free to reach out with any more!

Absolutely, the meals consistently arrived on time, and the packaging was impressive. They use eco-friendly materials and take care to ensure everything stays fresh during transit.

Absolutely, the portion sizes are quite satisfying. I've never felt hungry after a Factor 75 meal. They strike a good balance in terms of quantity and quality.

Great question! I really enjoyed their Chicken Parmesan and Beef Chili. The variety in flavors is a strong suit, and those are just a couple of my personal favorites.

Why would you prefer wild caught salmon as opposed to farm salmon? I personally prefer farmed because they usually have a softer texture
Great question! Wild caught tend to be higher on omega 3 fatty acids and have a more diverse flavor profile. That being said, farmed salmon have their benefit of being low on mercury or traces of plastic. Again, overall, they are fairly similar and it really just comes down to a matter of preference and you're definitely right, farming has a better texture.

Definitely, it's a bit on the higher end, but considering the quality of ingredients, convenience, and taste, I find it to be a worthwhile investment in my health.

Factor 75 offers some customization based on dietary preferences, but it's not as extensive as some other services. The pre-set meal plans, however, offer a good variety.
How long will the food last if I keep it in the fridge?
The meals stay fresh in the fridge for a full 7 days and on the last day Factor 75 will deliver the batch of meals. Great question and feel free to reach out with others!

I've been ordering from them for a while now, and loving it!! I wanted to improve my eating habits which mainly consisted of just using peanut butter spread to make a quick sandwich :P I went for the calorie smart option and have 14 meals delivered to me each week. It comes out to like 11 dollars a meal, but I work and live in the city, and getting a coffee and pastry at Starbucks cost 10$ so this was beyond a step up for me!
Let's be honest, who hasn't lived on just peanut butter before, we've all been there:) The Calorie Smart option is such an upgrade from peanut butter, nothing to compare. Are the portions that come enough? I’m like six ft tall…. will this satisfy me…?
Great question! This was something I was also thinking and I was happily surprised to find out that for me it was more than enough. The portions they provide are exactly what is seen on their site, you don't feel like the pictures or description was off. I usually like to eat bread when sitting down for a meal and found that I had no room for even one slice. That being said, this is also one of those questions that varies for each individual, no way to really know unless you try. If you are not looking for any specific diet, I would recommend trying first the Protein Plus option, I have found that to be the most filling option.
