Hi Lana! Also welcome back! I always look forward to your videos! I wish I could make the sandwiches but if I made them they'd be minus the cheese, the ham, and the butter or margarine and be not quite the sandwiches you're presenting! I know, I'm an oddball! Sorry about that! :-) This weekend I will be making your most excellent Cuban Tamales with turkey and introducing them to a co-worker who never had them before! This time I hope I can find corn husks but every time before when I made these I couldn't find them! Thanks for your great videos and recipes! Take care!
Hi Gary! It's always great to hear from you. The next sandwich recipe I'm doing is called Pan con Bistec or steak with bread. I think that might be more up your alley. It's a sandwich with steak, onions, and crispy potsto sticks. Very simple but so delicious. I how your friend enjoys the tamales. Can't wait to hear what he thinks.
I love you like family but you forgot the mayonnaise. Yes I'm a mayonnaise believer. That is how they made it at the restaurants in the warehouses, remember those? :) I love the idea of the honey. I'm going to try that because your right, the media noche is the better sandwich.
You know I've had with and without mayo. My favorite place in Hialeah, FL to get them didn't add mayo. I did try using mayo but because it's in the stuff fryer so it could longer, it disintegrated. So I left it off. Now, if you had said salami, I would have banned you from my channel. Lol (j/k that's a poke too my Tampa friends)
@@LanaUnderPressure I love the steak version of a cuban sandwich personally. Yum! Another great video Lana! I read what Bon Bon said and I just said if ya like the mayo..add it. Not a big deal.😉
@@LanaUnderPressure I knew it was a controversial topic.:) so I just had to say something. That I know of, I've never had it without. Or they put butter on the inside. Something to make it a little wetter than just mustard. I make mine on the stove in a pan with a heavy dish on top. But I've never tried the honey. I'm totally going to do that next. Thanks.
@@SweevosWife325 Ah are you are talking about Pan con Bistec (Bread with Steak or steak sandwich. It has the crunchy shoestring potatoes)? That's my other favorite sandwich and I am working on that recipe fro the air fryer too.
So tasty. I love Martins brand rolls and buns. They make a great Brioche for spicy chicken sandwiches. You mustve read my mind. I've been making some killer grilled sandwiches lately in my air fryer over. I can't find any 8x8 sheet trays for the Vortex anyplace. If you have a source, please let me know. I use disposable cake pans now from Dollar Tree.
Great minds think alike. 😄 I tried 6 different brands of rolls. Challah, potato, bakery, etc. I wanted something everyone could find and didn't get so mashed thin but was soft enough to press after. Martin's are the best! I also use their brioche for my crispy chicken sandwiches, too. As for the 8x8, I haven't been able to find one anywhere but ill keep searching.
@@LanaUnderPressure Thanks. I use the cake pans and 8" glass pie plates for alot of the air fryer oven cooks. Those silicone coated parchment paper pre-cut liners with the holes in them make great liners for the mesh trays and still let air through. OK I talk too much. Thanks!
Hi. I would go for turkey. I've made it with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving once, and it was so yummy! Pork is more like a white meat than it is a red meat.
Awe thank you! You made my night. My internet was out due tot hat darn tropical storm and I couldn't upload a thing for 2 weeks. Glad to be back and I got a whole bunch of video ideas.

Yummy, yum! Doing the air fryer way.
Waving to you from south Georgia-land of best Peaches, boiled Peanuts, & Vidalia onions!

Made this recipe
2 days ago, it was so much easier using the instant pot, thank you again... any recipe for Vaca Vieja in the instant pot /ninja?
Oh wow I am so glad you liked this recipe. I've heard of Vaca Frita but not Vaca Vieja. I'll have to ask my dad about that one.
Lana Under Pressure I actually meant vaca frita lol so sorry
@@RicardoRomero-ys9vc I thought so. My autocorrect is crazy and I have been known to type one thing and it writes another. I am working on it. :)

What is a good substitute for pork if someone can’t have pork due to religious reasons?
Hi. I would go for turkey. I've made it with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving once, and it was so yummy! Pork is more like a white meat than it is a red meat.
You can use potato bread.
Hi. I actually tried that abd a few others. The potato bread was good but it was a little too soft.
Straight up media noche is better
