Excellent advice! I appreciate that you share your knowledge and experience. Watering sounds easy but it can be tricky. Also very interesting information exploding myths about misting and ice cubes ...
great job, informative, and hand on easy to follow . I wish you can show how to mix a soil for a house plants, what we need ( kind of soil, lime, or other tips )
The information provided in this video was excellent. I came away with guidance on ways to address issues I see with several of my houseplants. Thank you for preparing and delivering this much appreciated overview.
As a complete beginner to plant care and even watering, this was exactly what I needed to know omg. Did not know about bottom watering, not misting the foliage, and how a too big pot can lead to the soil staying wet for too long whoaaaa. Can you do a video on the best way to repot plants without giving it too much shock? I had a really root bound Bonnie spider plant that I think I did too much to and I hope it lives ahhhhh
I've been watering an anthurium with ice cubes based on another site's advice. Maybe that's why its 2 spathes are puny and wrinkled. Thanks for this in depth presentation.
Hi Andrew, I found your channel here from your wonderful blog. I was disappointed that there wasn't a comment section. I just want to thank you for providing so much value. I subbed here :-)
I'm very new to owning house plants I've always loved the look of plants in a home I feel it just makes ur home feel more warm I've got 5 plants 3 are flaming katy and I have a venus flytrap but have only just started that so I'm just waiting to see life lol I just hope I do OK with them all but thank you so much for all the advice you give in your videos its nice that you explain things in so many ways and reasons for them 😊
Good info, very informative. I now think I may be causing brown spot on my plants by misting them so much. I couldn’t understand why this was happening to a few of my plants. I’m gonna cut out the misting and use a humidifier instead. Thanks
You make such great content, keep making videos please and create a playlist! Your website is also amazing. Please make a video on alocasia green velvet 😊
Great tips. Thank you I have always thought that it is better to water the plants where they are instead of taking them to the kitchen back and forth which I understand can upset them. So what do you think of watering where they are? Just put water in the tray that they are resting on.
I have put my peace lily into a larger pot. I now understand why the leaves are turning black. I have probably watered too much. However I let it go 1-2 weeks before watering and the soil seems fairly moist. Must be for the larger pot keeping too moist.
I have a question about repoting plant. I repot several. Now I have hoya pubicalyx. I will change it soil in more appropriate for it, more perlite, cactus soil... now it is in too dense soil, doesn't grow up and I will after that fertilize it with organic fertilizer... I have it since august last year and nothing hapend, not a new leaf, nothing at all... so frustrating, I mean it look the same.... My question is:would you repot it before or after watering?
Wonderful to listen to someone who keeps to the subject while proving interesting as well as informative.

Can you do a video on humidity. How do keep your ants at proper humidity?
Hi Nicolle
I'm planning a video on humidity, and what works best to improve humidity. It will hopefully be up soon :)
@@smartgardenguide2550 I use a pebble tray and humidifier and found such a difference in my plants!
