The Christmas tree atop the spike is a tradition among ironworkers regardless of the season, and signifies a steel structure was safely completed.
It's nice that the timing worked out so that it was actually seasonally appropriate, though.

Idk I still think they should've made the first launch 100 mph, twisted the back spike with a reverse launch of 111 mph, then the last forward launch at full speed.
Good news, the forecast for the Rust Belt this winter is above average warmth and temps above average and less snowfall and precip than average.
We really need and want this. Definitely praying for a May 4, 2024 opening of TTD2.
I already have plans to go there opening weekend and the next week and TTD2 needs to open in May.
Summer is my least favorite time to go to CP because of the crowds, lines, families, etc.
And Halloweekends is unpredictable. In 2022 most of the Halloweekend operating days were clear and not windy, while in 2023 a lot of them were rained out. Fortunately, I went in 2022 not 2023. But fall can be wildly unpredictable in Sandusky.

Honestly......The old dragster u only went 120mph for a few seconds... This going backwards up 420ft. and launching you from the spike...Ur getting a much longer intense ride giving ur going that fast from the spike, down that long stretch and up the tophat
Exactly and that spike drop is gonna give crazy butterflies especially in the back! Gonna be so fun!!
