I love classic carnival rides. Every time I see an Octopus, I have to ride it. They are so much fun!
There's another small park in upstate NY that has a lot of classic rides named Sylvan Beach, it has a classic wild mouse coaster, Rock O Plane, Roll O Plane, a Rotor, Laff Land, a classic Pretzel dark ride with original effects, a Tip Top, Himalaya, and a bunch of classic kiddie rides as well.
Great Escape is SO underrated❤
I went last year and was amazed at how different the vibe was compared to other Six Flags parks. The whole park is quirky and nostalgic with all the storytown theming. plus staff and operations were much more on point then usual.
and they have a really decent flat ride lineup with thier new Adirondack Outlaw, s&s tower, indoor scrambler, larson loop, and pendulum
yes their coaster lineup needs some work, but they’re on the right track now with bobcat!!
I’d say Knoebels doesn’t get talked about enough as it should. It’s usually overshadowed by Hersheypark, Kennywood, and Dorney Park but Knoebels is one of those small, classic, and amazing places. First time I went, I was taken back of the beauty of the park and how classic their rides feel and operate. Not to mention how they run the park too. It’s unique and beautiful and I love going there

glad to see my homepark of great escape on here. Hopefully bobcat is a sign that this park will get more love and could potentially become a Fiesta texas lite
It would be great for us to get some more love. Stoked for bobcat though! I truly thought we were never going to get another coaster in my lifetime.

Walibi Rhone-Alpes has felt like the forgotten one in its chain, and it pretty much was from the 10+ year gap between the sale from Six Flags and Timber. Mahuka caps off a decade long expansion plane. Its fairly central between Lyon and Geneva with smaller cities of Chambery, Grenoble (apparently known for its universities), Valence, and Lausanne within 2hrs. It has the people, it doesn't feel like its had the numbers to grow as they only added their boomerang and Zierer Large Tivoli between 1998 and 2000, as well as removing their original coaster in 1992 (which was a Galaxi model, which came from Walibi Belgium in the mid-80's). Feels like a park that is weak compared to its metro
La Ronde, and i will forever stand by that

Timberhawk is a wood coaster in Washington, Thunderhawk is this SLC (and a cenurty old woodie at Dorney)

That’s still crazy to me that you saw Tony Clark on shivering Timbers that one day you visited the park.
Mine come with astriscs. First mention might surprise some, but Magic Mountain. It may just be more of a symptom of Cedar Point and Great Adventure (often ranked above it) being overrated or the beauty of year round operations (ie not being slammed daily) but I genuinely feel the park is underrated. It's between Magic Mountain and Hersheypark (and possibly Lagoon, haven't been yet but I will in August) for best park in the western hemisphere at this point for me. Even though the park was dead they were maxing capacity, of course world class coasters, and they also have good food you don't expect from Six Flags ie acai bowls. Definately deserves a mention for all that. I'd also say Lakemont is incredible with the 2 woodies and including typically upcharge attractions on the wristband but they aren't operating this year. If they ever do again I doubt it's as good as before. I'll also mention Seabreeze, not an impressive coaster lineup but certainly a lot of history there. Of course Bushkill Park, which doesn't currently have a coaster but the owners are so nice. Could really keep going all day.
SFA is definetly underrated. That park gets dumped on by a lot of coaster enthusiats. It's not really that bad of amusement park but it's 100% overhated by them
The Great Escape is my beautiful son whom I love so much, the Comet is always number one in my heart no matter what my favorite more thrilling ones are

I will agree with Indiana Beach. It's a very cool park, and the new owner is doing a ton to make it even better.
Though I don't think MI Adventure is under rated. I personally think with all the potential it has to be great, the only reason it might be under rated by enthusiasts is due to Cedar Fairs lack of interest in making it a better park. It doesn't get anywhere near the attention the other Cedar Fair parks get, and it is really just sad.
I wish the guy who owns Indiana Beach owned MI Adventure. Seeing what he is doing there, you can bet MI Adventure would have a lot more rides by now.
