That chorus is so frickin' catchy, I love it. It's gonna take a few watches to figure out the video though, was a guy under house arrest being forced to play a video game to correct his mistakes?
diazzsama I wouldn't agree with that, they make cameos just for shits and giggles; the video has its completely separate and meaningful universe... I'll try to gather my thoughts/interpretations in a comment but whoah, not easy to speak about this.
I feel like I need to say, that juggernaut, both albums are masterpieces/works of amazing art, in which sound truly amazing! This song alone is perfect in every way, just like the rest of both albums! Amazing release from the best band on this planet right now.. Thank you Periphery.. Take care!
Just listened to Alpha and Omega, I must say the album is A LOT better than I expected, all the songs have singular indentity while keeping most of the technical part. I hope they will make a video clip for the bad thing and rainbow gravity. I also can't help but hope an accoustic version of A black minute and priestress.
Why is everyone complaining about this song?? It's catchy and heavy in equal measure, which about sums up their approach to songwriting from P2 onwards...don't get me wrong, I still love and listen to their first album on a frequent basis, but they couldn't keep doing that stuff forever, and any dabbling and experimenting with accessible songwriting have produced great tracks! 'Djent' in its zeitgeist form has had it's time and these guys are showing what else can be achieved with the subgenre. This, of course, is all just an opinion, but I do implore you to listen to new record if you haven't yet. It's killer (again, in my opinion) :)
misha,I love your movie tron legacey and I also love your song icarus lives!!! It cheers me up when I'm sad playing minecraft!!when I grow up I want to build computers!!just like you I am vary interested in the digit world. Well done misha well done you have impress me that you have changed my life
Yeah, I love how people are judging them based on this song, one of the two poppy and catchy songs on the album. 22 Faces, Rainbow Gravity, The Bad Thing, The Scourge, Omega, and Stranger Things are all heavy as hell and great. These albums have it all.
What annoys me more than haters is the people feeding them. Let them express their opinion, no matter how wrong you think it is, without coming back with some asslicking comment about how the band is perfect or whatever. I can see why people might not like this type of Periphery, but I think it's pretty sick and and I'm loving this new material. Again, my opinion, everyone's entitled to one, just enjoy the music or go somewhere else. :)
How is this song so unpopular?? I've been listening to it for months on my phone and i was expecting at least a million views... 135 thousand?? Is that it?
Just to say - when I listened to the songs that periphery released before the full albums, I felt quite disappointed. However, listening to the whole albums back to back about 5 times completely, I would really say this is one of their best creations ever. So good I've listened to it non stop!
Omg you guys need to all get over yourselves, when was Periphery ever not poppy? Like never, not even on their first album. Just embrace it now that it's out there.
everyone's commenting like "oh this is s*** periphery has sold out" I believe haven't actually listened to the album in its entirety. I believe this is their most solid release yet, not mentioning the INSANE production. The diversity and multilayered complexity of the LP is nothing less than impressive, with Spencer's vocals which are actually better than I expected, a sort of Chester Bennington in a progressive metal context. You can hear the band's intention to get BIG and why not, "famous" in a broader sense. What's wrong with that? We're talking about real musicians here, very, very far away also from bands in the same context (think about After the Burial's last release...).
Why is having good and memorable vocal melodies considered "poppy"? Shouldn't that be a good thing? Plus if this were a Bulb or Haunted Shores song, guaranteed, most of the people complaining would eat it right up.
It's because the fans who grew tired of Icarus Lives and Scarlet were hoping they took a different turn with the new album. We were wrong, they ripped up Scarlet and sprinkled it over 12 tracks... Therefore people are calling it "poppy".
It's less about melodies and more the tone of Spencer's voice that gets me. Somehow he managed to make it sound more sugar coated than some of the previous songs from past releases. Its more obnoxious and less subtle in delivery, if that makes sense to anyone. I give it the benefit of the doubt though, since his voice always kinda sounded like that and always managed to complement the music quite well - this song being no exception.
if the vox were "poppy" and the song was "poppy". this would be getting air time. guess what? it isn't. this is far from poppy as well as the album. don't judge the band and their work off of a song or two. listen to tracks from them like 22 faces or ragnarok or buttersnips or racecar or jetpack was yes or hell below or mk ultra. all of those are insanely complex and heavy tracks. dive deeper into the band before you place a full opinion on them. spencer is arguably the best vocalist out right now. his low growls are monstrous and his clean vocals are mesmerizing. just because he's got an actual range doesn't make him a pop vocalist. and all the people complaining are the ones that think 80's metal was superior because there was no such thing as clean vocals. if you don't like it, fucking leave and don't comment.
Everyone's saying that Periphery would be better without a vocalist, this song smacks everyone in their face! I think Spencer makes up a huge bulk of this song and it wouldn't be nearly as good without him!

Your use of the word “lore” is so fucking genius.
@@psychedelicaii1165Oh how the world has changed. 😅
I love the connection at the end to scarlet and the mustard ship, lmfao
I loved how they're watching the scarlet music video on TV at one point.
Jackson Pickens scarlet is better !!
L' anglais we never mentioned alpha being better...
Jammin this in the office right now - another doozie, well done dudes!
Basick Rec' approves. An Algorithm/Periphery collab' maybe?
J. Cobb woah! now that's gonna be THE thing!
This track is just....
...prefect, a good work !!
Chorus are still catchy, screams so flipping love.
Love that polyrhytmic 8-bit outro
This vid has just got VERY real for me. Thank you, Periphery. Thank you.
Love the song and album! Cant wait to go and see em LIVE!

Chris Rowland Will you explain the reference please ^_^
Rainbow Gravity is one of the tracks off Alpha :)
Chris Rowland Riiight! Thanks :)
You can't please all the people all the time... but I'm enjoying the band showing us the many different aspects of their musicianship.
Periphery is by far one of the most talented bands.
hell yes, i love how it fits in with the scarlet video towards the end!

Mk Ultra, Four Lights and Hell Below as well. Lots of heavy, lots of melody, lots of everything on both records. People are picky twats though.

Pewdiepie looks awesome in this video
The best band of the world. Juggernaut is PERFECT!
And one more thing: COME TO BRAZIL! :(
Juggernaut - what a band...
Raven D Shane Notice the ellipsis at the end of his first sentence?
DeeZaster Notice the humor in life?
Raven D Shane Notice that mustard in the background?
DeeZaster Notice the flying car?
The lyrics are truthful and fantastic. Juggernaut is a fantastic piece of art as a whole.
They are creating the peripheryverse
The part when the car pass outside the periphery's ship is just fucking awesome
Hands up. They won the internet.
I sincerely hope I'm not the only one who realized that the 'Scarlet' music video is on the TV at 2:35... :D

otra paranoia como la de Scarlet... me encanta!!! nos vemos en el Resurrection!
Bands like this and Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! are what keep this genre alive
Words of wisdom from Periphery: If you are ever tempted to drive drunk, just throw your car into space.
Just noticed his keys had Spence, Nolly, Mark and either Misha or Dave (couldn't tell) as well that his keys say "MK 22".
Quite an awesome band, like it :)

I need to go to bed. Halfway through, I was like,
"Why am I listening to Periphery? I can't hear the video!"
hey I know this is pretty late but does anybody know how to get a physical copy of Alpha & Omega ordered into New Zealand?

Is Periphery under Century media Records or Summarian Records? Both labels are claiming this album is theirs
Summarian Records for north america and century media for the rest of the world.
Century Media is their European label, so I think both
