I am so happy that Envy is staying with Nate and Cindy at Pony Tales forever. Envy is such a magnificent horse, she is my favorite and probably always will be.
I have a patch of ground that was used by a hoarder for years. I used a huge, powerful magnet to clean up all the metal scraps and make the ground safe for horses. Then it rained, and more metal magically popped out of the ground. I cleaned that up batch of metal, it rained again, and more metal appeared. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat for the last couple of years. It’s incredible how much sharp metal can hide in the soil, just waiting for a horse to step on it!
We had no clue there was a downed barbed wire fence cutting across the pasture that was a former vineyard until prohibition hit. We only found it when a horse got tangled in it. We managed to save the horse but she ended up with a huge scar. Take all the time you need cleaning up the property. It isn’t worth the grief and expense to care for damaged animals.
Watching Envy’s story of triumph over such a terrible canker illness was so inspirational, to watch him gain confidence love and respect for humans with such tender patience and care at Pony Tales. ❤❤❤
You could see it in his face that he was feeling some type of way about Envy. Men don’t show their emotions, and he really tried to hide them! I’m glad he’s made that leap of faith ❤ Congratulations Nate

All those draft horses. Drafts are my favorite. It would destroy me to see so many go to slaughter. I'm sure they're worth more too because of their size. =(
When it comes to the puppies remember that they have no Parvo prevention yet and Parvo can remain active in the environment for a year. The dirt they walked through and that you bring home on your clothing and footwear today, tomorrow or even last week can kill them next week or month. Get their puppy shots and limit where you take them until their protection has had time to do its job of keeping them safe and healthy. They are very cute and will have a better life with the care you'll give them I'm sure.
I remember all the haying equipment you have from my teenage years! Those were good times! The smell of the hay and the activity of making the bales. The big dinners and late night emptying the wagons. We also got to make forts or rooms with the bales. The barn cats loved those rooms for their kittens.

It warmed the heart to hear Nate found him a forever horse. I know how strong the bond between a owner and a horse can be. I had one of those, and he passed away as well. It is called a wolly bear moth. The caterpillar turns into the Virginia tiger moth.. it's secretions can cause irritation . So happy at y'all's progress ❤
That whole thing with the tarp was exceptional! That was beautiful. And Cordelia... precious. Can't bectoovcareful regarding that cleanup. Wish more people would clean up like that. One of my horses stepped on a four inch twist nail. It 'just' missed his coffin bone. That horse and I surprised the vet several times. Successfully 💖. He was wonderful. My hirse. The vet was okay. Lol. He humoured me. It was hard-working, but worth it.
That accident happened in the riding arena of a barn with a great reputation. Apparently they didn't do a clean up before laying down the turf and the nails,worked their way up....cute. Not.
Watching the mare with the bad leg is there anyway to make a small movable ramp to put next to the back door of the trailer to help cushion the descent from the trailers to lessen the pain.
Love watching you help all those Horses and those adorable puppies. I like your helping horses so much it has so much warmth in it and warmth in it. Lots of very nice people.

So many horses, many have a real hard life ahead of them with the Amish and will return one sad day when they are totally worn out, damaged, hurting, ill treated beyond any standards we know possible , unable to contribute to their ways of hard work anymore, I cry for them already. Knowing their terrible fate of most - what a horrible life. How can they just not care, treat Gods creatures so mercilessly, I will never understand.I feel badly for the people that have surrenderes that cannot pay the whole fee, but am so thankful they at least brought their animals to you and not try to make a buck at the auctions, slaughter pipelines. It’s a hard World for many atm. So thankful for the valuable beautiful work you all do! You are all amazing!❤️ 🧚🏼♀️💕
So glad you were able to get some Belgians including the one with the bad new. You are so right, the Amish stink. So many overworked and scarred Belgians owned by the Amish wind up at Kill Pens in their mid to late teens. Also you are right the Amish breed dogs, they are nothing more than puppy mills. I visited one in Lancaster, PA under cover with a dog rescue and was shocked when they brought out a shih szu pup that had eye infections and was very dirty. They kept them in a barn and probably in rabbit hutches.
So glad to see you get all those babies! Now we know they will get wonderful furever homes and not have to suffer like some do. They will have great lives ahead of them.

FOR BEE STINGS- make a paste of Baking soda, put on sting, repeat whenever it bothers you. Baking soda neutralizes the enzymes in the venom, and as it dries it draws. Works GREAT.
The Amish seem to not care about animals at all.
Not any more than any other farmer cares about a tractor. Horse is just equipment.

Tractor supply has magnets at the end of a pole for checking for metal.

FOR BEE STINGS- make a paste of Baking soda, put on sting, repeat whenever it bothers you. Baking soda neutralizes the enzymes in the venom, and as it dries it draws. Works GREAT.
