Thank you. Id love to hear from you about the tricky things you learned over time. For example, having a 1-month bisque-ware policy... things you wish you knew before you opened a community clay studio.
It's from Comodes, but I really don't recommend them. The filter is fine, but they have awful customer service. Any air filter that has a HEPA filter will work. :)
Thanks for the tour!! I wish I was local to be able to be a member. It’s such a lovely workspace and I can see how much work you’ve put into it. Did I see on Instagram that said you were moving to the countryside? Are you moving the studio?
Hey!
I see you obviously have a studio pet. What are your thoughts on having animals live in the studio in terms of them being exposed to silica? I wanna set up a home studio but don't want to harm my cat yaknow
Yeah it’s a good question. I am 100% not an expert in animal health, but as I understand it, silicosis takes 30+ years to develop and our pets dont live that long 🥲
This is very much food for thought, I have 2 cats and a dog. If (a big IF) I ever set up a studio I'll do it in the cellar where the pets are not allowed and will make sure to wash everything down daily. I'm also thinking "studio shoes" are a good idea, just keep them and wear them down stairs while in the studio so as to no drag any dust upstairs. Luckily we have windows down there so ventilation will not be an issue at least for 3 seasons. 😉
16:01 I will reach out to you through your Instagram site. We’re trying to have a community art center. That will include a ceramic center and I’m very impressed with what you’ve done could you give us some specifics as far as size in the cost of various things as much as you can thank you so much

It is my dream to open a shop like this! Soooo inspirational
I have wanted to do this here in my area for a long time. Thank you for sharing. Maybe one day I will get to do this.
You should!
Thanks for sharing ! I fantasize about creating a community pottery some day.
Thanks for sharing. I just started pottery a month ago and your videos are inspired :)
Your studio is lovely. Sounds like a cool space to be part of. 😊😊
Thank you! A lot of love went into it :)
I’m really liking your sink setup. Do you have a video for that?
Beautiful. You’re an inspiration. Thank you!
Wow! What a beautiful space!!!
Thank you! 😊
Wow that filter is cool! Thanks for sharing :)
You’re welcome 😊
I would LOVE a kiln room tour if you're able to do that. ♡
Love your tour! What air filters do you use?
Would love to see the cellar and also wanted what air filter is it that you use
Beautiful studio : ) Thank you for sharing.
love your space!!! what kind of air filter do you use?

I know this video is a bit older, but is the garden hose so close to the kiln not a fire hazard as the plastic could melt potentially?

Thanks! Yes I'm moving my studio, but someone will take over the space too. So it will duplicate in a way ;)
Do you make your shop glazes and clay from raw materials? What kind of clay do you prefer for classes and to use as a shop clay?

Really cool, love all the DIY. Mind if I ask if it's profitable?
Hi! Lovely studio ♥ could I ask you which filter are you using to keep the air clean? Thank you!
I am using Enviroklenz! I have a video about it here: ua-cam.com/video/6kH2KWwFW4w/v-deo.html
Could you recommend a pottery wheel .
How many square footage is your studio?
Thanks for the tour! How many members do you have?

How do you make your wedging boards?
I have a video on that topic, scroll back a little ;)
What kind of board do you use for wedging?
I too would really like to know this
I call them wedging boards :) You can see how I make it here: ua-cam.com/video/ttePyXBvCTI/v-deo.html
