I greatly appreciate it. Berkey lost votes with me way back when I had been researching filtering. Now I see my gut was right after following your info provided m. Zero is down on my trust list, but not out yet, though close. Trust is very hard these days because there's so much dishonesty today. It seems the value of life is worth nothing. It is written in the Bible love will grow cold (partly because of this). All these big techs seem to want to do is make a lot of money very fast before caught and/or then change their name to some LLC, or be merged in with another so the nonsense can continue but new and improved, etc. I have been researching for years. It's like you have to choose between the lesser of 2 evils. That makes it difficult when you see through their lies. It is sad how things have become, all in the name of money.
I bought a Katadyn Swiss made very old and reputable company. I was sold when reading reviews from Doctors Without Borders. Katadyns Ceradyn filters system will filter like 30,000 gallons before replacing.

I learned 8 month's ago about the Berkey that fluoride was not filtered. (one of the main reasons i would filter) i just had it not even a year. I even made my neighbor buy one! From the ones that were mentioned in a test that filtered it out to 99% I chose clearly filtered. I also like that it is no longer such a big hassle to clean like the Berkey is. However i would like to stay informed about repurposing the cans of the Berkey, but i could not figure out which link that is.
I use the bottom part of my stainless steal Berkey container to hold the water I distilled. I also use a AquaTru system and love it! Many blessings for your family and new baby! I have highly appreciated your videos about Berkey as I stopped using them over 2 years ago because testing a new filter with red dye showed they did not filter that color out! After many calls they stopped answering. Not good at all!

Is Aqua Tru reverse osmosis? Because if it isn't, then most filters other than reverse osmosis cannot get out many many dangerous chemicals that people are not even aware that's in their water unless they test it
You might think about distilled water. For domestic water! The thing about distilled water is you can introduce herbs and minerals! Just a thought! I have a five gal a day distiller I bought at a garage sale for 25$!
Yup. At the moment I'm buying distilled water, with it I make a bottle of minerals: boron, magnesium, bit of potassium, msm sulphur and a pinch of bicarb. From that bottle I tip a teaspoon or so into my distilled water couple times a day when making coffee or tea or whatever.
You still have to charcoal filter it after distillation, and preferably reverse osmosis filter it, too. It's a three step process. Don't fall into the hype and lies about distilled water not having minerals, or that it leeches minerals from your body, either.

Getting water chlorine and inorganic free is good! Your guts are going to get rid of inorganic material carried by water anyway! Adding organic minerals is going to be a added value for your system! All of this is so disturbing. I am rarely angry, but this angers me. I purchased berkey filters for my children. God help people who are so obsessed with making money / greed that they will intentionally falsify test results on something as critical and life saving as water. God Bless you for doing the research that I should have conducted before making three purchases.

Great. We got a Berky 1-filter unit for backup. I have a ditch filter for real trouble, but only use a Waterdrop pitcher on a daily basis for city tap water. I recently saw another UA-camr who did testing on the Berkey filters. He found that the filters that address Fluoride, actually put high levels of aluminum in the water, and tested pretty well for the black elements, but I think they only went out to 50 gallons (he sent water samples into a lab). Sooo disappointed with Berkey, I hope the class action lawsuit will either make then change their greedy ways or force them to stop making fabulist claims.
That's interesting. I watched the first one and I've watched this one now. I don't remember you ever mentioning what was the catalyst for you to dive so deep. It sounds as though purchased one or some of the products so there had to be some level of trust initially and then something happened to make you really dig your heals in. Could you share that with us? Monthly emails and then a more aggressive email schedule is a really strong approach. I have a berkey and haven't had issues or felt as though I've been wronged by them. I struggle trusting some of these certification programs as you have to pay them to certify your product. I've personally seen how the "Organic" certification works and it's not good enough for me. Essentially if I pay enough money to an organization the will certify anything. I pray the Lords will over you and your families life.
His whole issue was they don’t have certification (I’m with you on this though as I also understand the shady crap that happens, especially with organic certification which is almost meaningless now days), and that berkey didn’t test to the gallons they claim (I think 3000) and instead only tested to 50 and used those results to estimate the total life of the filter to 3000. I love my berkey but since I don’t keep up with counting gallons anyway, it’s probably best for us to test our water once a year anyway as a precaution. I think these vids were deliberately click bait. If you just understand the industry and use a little common sense it’s no big deal.

One alternative might be getting the Royal filters if they fit the Berkey tanks? N/s. I ordered three filters based on your research. I liked the detail. Only about 3% of folks can follow the details but I enjoyed and treasure them as I saved me tons of sifting through advertising gimics and false claims. I'm struggling with if the hunter cooper heat pumps are as good as the Mitsubishi hyper heat models. I know compressors are made in only a few factories so efficiencies boil down to software mostly. Is it possible for you to look into if Mitsubishi and Cooper hunter heat pumps are the same?? Maybe project farm could do a comparison?
The NSF is a private agency fully funded by the government. It is the equivalent arm of government similar to the NIH and CDC. In my opinion , they performed poorly during the covid pendemic and has been reported to be used for political bias. Is there any other laboratory information that can vet and confirm their findings?
My bet is the Berkey works well to the quota for 'decent' water, water being VERY different in different regions and countries. Mine works quickly and always has, 7 years in. Water tastes chlorine free, whereas our tap water actually smells quite strongly of chlorine, half as bad as a swimming pool! I am on the fence at present, trying to find an excuse to invest in something less questioned due to solid results, publicised and without challenge. WHERE ARE YOU!?

Are these tabletop? I really want to use something similar to my Berkey. A pitcher or whole house or under sink are not options for me

We've been using the Alexapur Pro for 6 years and have only trusted that they're good. I can't find any recent tests on them. Anyone know?
We use r.o. apec under sink. Love it since it doesn’t remove all of the essential minerals.

I'll second this. I bought a whole system from prooneusa and it's been working great. The filters are compatible with the Berkey.

A water purifier and water filter are two different things. Look at definitions. Berkey is a purifier system not a water filter.

Get to the point. What filter fits the Berkey that is a good filter to use. You started this mess so you could at least tell the people which one they can use with their expensive Berkey they invested in

If you do future uploads, can you please try to make your sound/audio ‘volume’ levels, louder. because, for me, I watch tons of youtube, and I can hear almost everyone, except on rare occasions, and for some reason, your volume, even when I turn ‘up’ as loud as possible on my end, I can barely hear you. So if you can record a cpl/few notches louder, that’d be great. We can alway turn ‘quieter’ on our end, If is too, loud. I think you may be talking quiet, so as not to disturb hose around you, or perhaps you’re just a “softer, quieter” speaker, idk. But, I wouldn’t ask, but I’m struggling to be able to hear.
